York JV football team shows improvement leading up to final game of season

York's JV football team has been on a hot streak, while going 3-1 in their past four games.

"I am seeing what I need to see as the JV coach," said Head Coach Geno Casas. "We are 4-4 right now and have a lot to build on."

In the past three games, York defeated Smithfield 35-20, lost 8-6 at Warhill, who is the number one JV team in the District, and won against Lafayette by a score of 28-7.

"Markus Wakeland and Austin Norman, among others, have proven themselves as leaders and made major differences," Casas said.

Due to Bruton having no JV team, York will receive a forfeit win this week to bring their record to 4-4. The last game of the season will be against Grafton at Bailey Field on Wednesday, November 10 at 6:30 pm.
