BOYS MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL WINS!

The Middle School Boys basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 39-27 victory over Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Monday, 13 December 2010. The visiting Trojans jumped out to an early 20-6 lead by generating numerous turnovers through their suffocating full court press. Ryan Keating, Brett Smith, Jack Nanartowich and Jack Keating all came away with big steals that led to easy baskets.
The Crusaders battled back to cut the deficit to 6 in the 2nd half. Walsingham turned to the strong inside play of Trey Neville, who led all scorers with 14 points to keep the Crusaders at bay – 12 of those points coming in the 2nd half. Smith chipped in 10 points from his point guard spot. Billy Roberts and Mark Cavasos were strong defensive presences throughout the game. Thomas Radke, Kyle Pieri, Tommy Menoni, Jay Shoop and Jonathan Argaman also contributed to the WA victory.

CONGRATULATIONS.....
....to WA 7th Grader Kristin Dantzler for winning her first 16 year old USTA Tennis Tournament. And she is only 13!
Jv GIRLS BASKETBALL WINS FIRST GAME
Yesterday the JV girls had their home opener against Beach Breakers. We won 33-11. Ashley Barnes was our leading scorer with 14 points. The team did great!! We look forward to our next game on Tues Dec 14 against Hampton Christian.
