U.S. Rep. Robert C. "Bobby" Scott, D-Newport News, is holding a forum with constituents in Norfolk Monday to discuss any voting problems they had on the Nov. 6 when many voters waited in long lines to cast a ballot in the federal elections.
"On election day, there were reports of severely long lines at the polls throughout Hampton Roads," Scott said in a press release. "There were also reports of problems with voter registration in the weeks leading up to election day. This forum will provide me the opportunity to hear first hand from my constituents about the problems they may have faced in exercising their right to vote and help me identify potential ways to alleviate these issues legislatively at the federal level."
The event will take place Monday from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Norfolk City Hall located at 810 Union St.
