Delegate-elect David Yancey, R-Newport News, will join the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Newport News City Council Member Tina Vick as a "celebrity server" at the “Feeding 1,000 Holiday Feast and Community Celebration" in Newport News Saturday.
The event is open to "citizens who are in need of a meal for the holidays," and runs from noon to 4 p.m. at the Alley, 100 West Newmarket Square.
“I look forward to working on the front lines, rolling up my sleeves and serving meals to individuals and families during the event," Yancey said.
