U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., who recently announced her presidential bid, received her Master of Laws degree from the College of William and Mary in 1988. Bachmann's studies focused on tax law, according to her congressional website. The program is no longer offered.
On Sunday, Bachmann referenced the degree when defending her credentials to Fox News host Chris Wallace. Wallace had asked whether or not she was a 'flake'. He later apologized for the question.
The course of study may have been influential in developing Bachmann's views on federal tax policy. She's a favorite among many Tea Party groups.
If elected, Bachmann would be the fifth U.S. president to be educated at the school and would join some rather elite company. The four presidents to attend the school were George Washington (he got his surveyor's certificate), Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe and John Tyler, according to the college's website.
"William & Mary is the alma mater of a nation so it is always a pleasure to watch an alumna of the university take an active role in the nation’s political life," said Brian Whitson, a spokesman for the school.

chris wallace is not a serious journalist. He's a rude butt-boy for fox. Like his dad before him, he makes a living interrogating others with irrelevant but offensive questions in an attempt to embarrass or to get a rise out of them to the thrill of his audience.
