Gov. Bob McDonnell is going to be in Virginia Beach this weekend to help congressional hopeful Scott Rigell celebrate his 50th birthday.
The birthday party is going to double as a get out the vote - and grab some attention - rally for Rigell in the waning days of the Republican primary contest that is set to be finished up on Tuesday June 8. Rigell and McDonnell are certainly hoping to draw a big crowd and drum up some excited for the final stretch of the primary campaign.
The BBQ celebration will be held on the lawn of the swanky Cavalier Hotel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday evening. The event is open to the public - Rigell's campaign team just sent out an email blast about the shindig - and families are welcome. But you're encouraged to RSVP to events @scottrigell.com or call 757-802-9936.
