U.S. Rep. Bobby Scott, D-Newport News, and Organizing for America have scheduled a news conference for 6 p.m. today to give OFA a chance to publicly thank Scott for voting for the health care reform bill that passed last Saturday.
Passing along the official gratitude will be Brandyn Keating, OFA's state director for Virginia.
The event is at 6 p.m. at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, 2515 Marshall Ave., Newport News.
Prediction: The weather today may affect the turnout.

Who gives a crap what Organizing for America does or does not do. Sounds to me like they are another one of those Marxist/Socialistic Democrat groups who are bringing our great Country down.

It is state law that you have insurance on your car but not on yourself? that is back asswards.
Yea you should have health insurance. If not then again YOUR taxes, remember the ones you pay to shore up this country, will go and pay for you to go to the doctor or emergency room.
Or let me put it this way MY taxes will pay for YOU to go to the emergency room.

Did Bobby Scott also vote against correcting the flawed SGR formular, resulting in Medicare cutting reimbursement to physicians by 21.5 percent, starting January 1, 2010. Perhaps he can give seniors an idea of where to seek treatment for acute and chronic illnesses after all the doctors refuse to accept the Medicare.

Lets see under the bill Scott voted for you are mandated to buy health insurance before you buy food, pay mort or rent. If you don't pay it first you get fined, if you don't pay the fine you go to jail. Thats what you are thanking him for imposing on the citizens of the Nation. Vote him out
