Neil have you changed your name to Shamilton? Last I checked Hamilton hasn't been found guilty of a thing. He never put in an amendment for ODU.
He was out early today to multiple breakfasts before going door to door for 8 hours. He didn't pay others. He went face to face with constituents. He would have gone face to face with Robin Abbott the last 3 forums but, the Queen chose not to show and mingle with the little people.
Abbott has no widespread support - just a widespread checkbook from Len Bennett.
As a poster on "Not Larry Sabato" said last night, the endorsements of both local papers says as much about how poor a candidate Abbott is, as well as, how Hamilton has decades of good will.

He didn't do anything at ODU? Really? I can tell you that as a teacher who was able to further my education thanks to the cohorts Del. Hamilton set up between my school division and ODU, that he absolutely did work for his income. Thanks to this situation being completely misrepresented by Abbott and the media, these co-horts are no longer available to teachers who wish to take these classes to help us become better educators. As a teacher and ODU student, I am also aware of numerous teaching/leadership workshops that Hamilton set-up and arranged. Many of the ideas and skills that he teaches in the Leadership Academy were also shared at these workshops. Luckily, the election won't be left up to you. Del. Hamilton has done great things for this area, including saving shipyard jobs, fighting for medicare benefits for the elderly, helping the disabled, and the list goes on and on. He will continue his good works for this area in the future.
On Tuesday night, when he is re-elected, you will have to eat your dishonest words.

Embarrassing? What is embarrassing is that anyone would still vote for that crook Shamilton after he was caught red-handed using his position on the Budget Committee to enrich himself with a job and office in which he did practically nothing.
Another embarrassing thing was his support for the unconstitutional Hampton Roads Transportation Authority (HRTA). That whole so-called transportation bill was just a way to give unelected people the right to raise our taxes for projects that benefitted big developers at taxpayer expense. Thank God the courts protected us from Shamilton's ilk and unanimously declared the whole thing unconstitutional.
Shamilton should also be embarrassed over his constant support of the illegal King William reservoir fiasco. Is he embarrassed that he and Mayor Frank wasted over $55 Million dollars of taxpayers money trying to take other people's property in the name of Newport News? I can't believe he has the gall to show his face in public. Anyone who votes for him is voting for a crook, as far as I'm concerned.

All candidates, state and local are out on the weekend the weekend before the election. Well, all but one: Robin Abbott! She was busy at her house this morning letting those $10 an hour physically healthy volunteers wqlk for her. With another $45,000 from Len Bennett on Thursday, she probably has half the town on the payroll. Embarrassing.
