Not enough choices. What about organizations like the NRA, FRC, Your church et al?
You are missing a big part of the population when you only include left wing outfits like newspapers and labor unions.

How about what endorsements do you consider before donating money to a candidate? Especially in local races, if you don't have the endorsements of key people you will be handicapped when it comes to fundraising.
