Olaf Gebhart, a Newport News attorney and former head of the Hampton Democratic Party, will announce tomorrow that he's going to challenge Republican Tom Gear for his seat in the House of Delegates.
Gear, formerly a member of the Hampton City Council, has represented the 91st District since 2002.
Gebhart will kick off his campaign at 1 p.m. at the Poquoson Public Library.
