Hank Williams Jr. to open for McCain-Palin on Monday
This is probably old news already, but I'm still playing catch-up this morning. (Anyone besides me feel like you're always playing catch-up nowadays?)
But I just saw the announcement from the Associated Press that country music star, Monday Night Football watcher and hard-living hell-raiser Hank Williams Jr. is going to be the opening act (there's probably a better phrase, but it escapes me at the moment) for John McCain and Sarah Palin at the Virginia Beach Convention Center come Monday.
Williams' country-boogie-rock ought to get the crowd rolling, but I have to wonder ... has anyone told him that the rally starts at 10 a.m.? That would be at 10 a.m. in the morning?
I didn't know Hank did any rollicking before noon. But it does sound like fun.
After the rally, Palin moves on to Richmond for a rally at the Arthur Ashe Center. The AP says Williams won't be tagging along.
