Sarah Palin is Virginia Beach bound.....
Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is coming to Virginia Beach in two weeks to campaign with Attorney General Bob McDonnell.
Palin delivered a tough address at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night roughing up Barack Obama and bolstering the choice made by Republican John McCain. It's nice to see the national GOP getting back to focusing Hampton Roads.
The last time McCain made a regional visit - or any other major surrogate for that matter - was in early February in Norfolk with Sen. John Warner in the runup to the Virginia Republican primary.
The event is scheduled for Thursday Sept. 18 - and details are still trickling in.
Okay, I'm late in commenting here, but I've just got to say that I think Sarah Palin is a HORROR -- ignorant and facile and entirely superficial, which seems to be what works with the American people these days, these last many days (years, in fact).
I can't believe this is what America has come to. We are bullies in the world, invaders and brutes; TV-watching illiterates in our own homes, happily stupid about the rest of the world and our own government...
Look at the other comments posted re: the (canceled) visit of Sarah Palin. It's an outrage.

I just spoke to the Chesapeake Republican HQ and Sarah WILL NOT be here on the 18th. They said the date was never confirmed but that the press just ran with it (you know the press). Sorry! I am sadly disappointed as I was looking forward to seeing her. They said that they will try for a stop before the election.

Still trying to get info. on where Sarah Palin will be and how to get tickets for Sept. 18. If anyone finds out PLEASE !!!! pass the info. on this site. I've tried calling the McCain office at #1-703-65-5534 to get info. to post to everyone but they don't call back.

What is going on with this visit. Virginian Pilot said next Thursday the 18th. Would sure be nice if someone gave us information on where, how much to get in, will the average struggling person be able to afford to support her by attending? I really like her, but come one McCain's office, get it together and give us some info!!
