Palin and why people hate the "media"....
Great video on the web of a Fox News anchor absolutely tearing the pants off the senior editor of US Weekly over an article about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin this week.
The celebrity gossip rag that fills newstands and small minds everywhere rushed out a story about Palin and her 17-year-old unmarried, pregnant daughter and her background in Alaska. Palin has been under attack since Republican John McCain picked her as his vice presidential nominee.
The relative unknown politician has been subject to heaps of rumors and innuendo, in large part because news organizations needed to fill in the gaps in the resume.
But apparently the headline "Babies, Lies and Scandal" didn't sit well with one of the anchors over at Fox News - shocking, I know. The editor - Bradley Jacobs - appears completely unprepared for the blindside interview and is totally lost throughout.
It is funny when at one point he complains that they didn't have enough time to check the facts and get everything into the story. Uggg.
But it's also sort of mind boggling to watch a Fox anchor take on a member of the "media" - bascially a picture-laced tabloid - and essentially yells at him about being "fair and balanced."
Congratulations for getting tough on US Weekly, what's your next hard target for fact checking - MTV?
But you have to love the passion from the Fox anchor - she seems personally hurt by the magazine story. I must have missed the times when she was hitting back this hard against the ridiculous rumors floating around the Internet about Barack Obama. I'm sure she was just as tough on those folks.

You might remember when Fox News picked up on a rumor about Obama's elementary school from a little-known conservative magazine. For some insight into what's "fair and balanced" click here.

I can't believe this blogger! What is it you don't understand about getting all the facts and printing them. You seem to be more interested in the Fox anchor's reaction to this idiot editor's ramarks as to not being able the get all the facts before his deadline. I guess this is standard for the rabid liberal left, can't find anything against the person, attack the family. Think I am going off into the wild blue yonder, check the daily Koz. These people need to get a life.
To the author of this blog, if you work for the Daily Press is this the way you work your stories for the paper??? Get half the facts and go with that?
The big story should be that this woman has shaken up the democrats and they are scared. She is a breathe of fresh air to the political scene and I am happy for her nomination.

The anchor in question is typically one of the more balanced on that or any other cable news station.
Funny that someone at the Daily Press is knocking US Weekly, or Fox for that matter. Have you taken a look at your front page lately? Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference -- they're both pretty "soft" news.
Were I at a campaign, I'd be a whole lot more concerned about a negative cover on US Weekly too - they might not be as pretentious as the Daily Press / Shad Plank, but they have roughly equivalent "gravitas/"

"Tammy Faye" Palin really hates YouTube.com because people can go there and learn about her vindictive and malicious abuse of her position as Governor, where she tried to get her ex brother-in-law fired, and how the she fired the Commissioner (Walt M.) who refused to be a party to her improper, corrupt conduct. Just search: Wooten Gate.
Corrupt politicians always hate the media, especially the way the media has a habit of shining a bright light on corruption and abuse of power.
If judged only by the currently known illegal actions, Palin would look like an old fashioned, corrupt Party boss, who is willing to break any law in order to settle a score or ruin anyone who might be a political liability.
Palin should not be Governor, let alone be a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
