Drake, Wagner announce endorsements
A couple of endorsement announcements came in today.
U.S. Rep. Thelma Drake, R-Norfolk, announced that she has been endorsed by the National Federal of Independent Businesses in her race against Democratic challenger Glenn Nye. Drake had a real estate business before becoming a full-time lawmaker.
Jody Wagner, the former secretary of finance for Gov. Tim Kaine who is now seeking the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor, announced that she has received endorsements from a list of Democratic state lawmakers:
Senators Richard Saslaw, Mary Margaret Whipple, Charles Colgan, Mamie Locke, Louise Lucas, John Miller,
Yvonne Miller, Ralph Northam and Patsy Ticer.
And Delegates Kenny Alexander, Kristen Amundson, Mamye BaCote, Joseph Bouchard, Robert Brink, David Bulova, Chuck Caputo, Rosalyn Dance, David Englin, Frank Hall, Algie Howell, Lynwood Lewis Jr., Dave Marsden, Bobby Mathieson, Paula Miller, Joe Morrissey, Dave Poisson, Jim Shuler, Mark Sickles, Roz Tyler, Margaret Vanderhye and Vivian Watts.

I guess this puts to rest for good the possibility that Del. Alexander will run for Lt. Gov. next year.
