Touching introduction from Beth Robinson...
The event just kicked off with an introduction from Beth Robinson, with her Marine husband and 18-month old daughter in the audience.
Robinson's husband Matt has been in the Marine Corps for more than 13 years and he deployed to Iraq in 2001, 2003, twice more since 2006, and once to Afghanistan. They expect him to be deployed again within the next year.
Beth and Matt have been married for 12 years, and she suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. The 33-year-old mother was cheered on by a sympathetic crowd that frequently yelped out encouragement and even on moment where her toddler made a bit of a cry for "Mama."
Robinson lamented the state of the country's health care system - specifically the treatment for military men and women returning from deployments. Robinson went a full throated endorsement of Barack Obama's campaign.
"We believe that Sen. Obama can make the positive changes for the military and the country," Robinson said.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Matt was never deployed that many times. Someone needs to learn to tell the truth. Has anyone asked about Beth's past and the skeletons in her and her husbands closet?

I think Beth Robinson is WRONG! I too am a military wife - and I am a supporter of John McCain! He knows what it is like to serve this country and what it is like to go without! I have adequate health care - adequate housing - and my husband has a good job - one that I am very proud of! Not every military family agrees with Beth Robinson - I promise you that!
