Obama townhall tour hits the Peninsula on Thursday...
Michelle Obama is in south Hampton Roads tomorrow, and U.S. Rep Robert C. "Bobby" Scott, D-Newport News, is going to host a townhall meeting for the presumptive Democratic nominee on Thursday.
The local town hall meeting is part of a statewide series this week that includes stops in Richmond, Danville and Martinsville. When Barack Obama's campaign comes to the Peninsula they're going to set up shops in the local plumbers and pipefitters union hall in downtown. The Richmond event is going to be hosted by former congressman Ben Jones - who most of you probably remember fondly as "Cooter Davenport" from the Dukes of Hazzard.
The townhall starts in Newport News at noon and here's the address.
