The as-yet-unamed vice presidential candidate will speak at the Democratic National Convention on the same night where the theme is "national security." (It was either that or "funny hats.") Prognosticators would argue that a national security emphasis bodes well for folks like Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware or former Sen. Sam Nunn of Georgia, the Associated Press reports.
The theme for the Aug. 25th opening night will be "One Nation" with a speech by Michelle Obama. The next night's theme is "Renewing America's Promise" with an address by Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. The third night is "Securing America's Future," which showcases the VP pick.
The final night is Barack Obama's acceptance speech with the theme "Change You Can Believe In."
Don't you love theme parties? Got any ideas for your own theme? Weigh in, and keep it clean.

"Securing America's Future" is also the motto of Gen. Wesley Clark's PAC. Clark represents a nod to the Clinton people while pacifying the hawks and white men who might otherwise feel left out (pun intended).
