Just in: Mark Warner will deliver Dems' keynote speech
The Associated Press is reporting that Mark R. Warner, the former Virginia governor and current U.S. Senate candidate, will give the keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama announced the selection early Wednesday morning.
It is a primetime slot that could boost Warner's national profile, the story notes. He will deliver the speech on Aug. 26th, a night when the theme is economic opportunity. That's the same night that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will speak.
Warner is running against former Virginia governor Jim Gilmore for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by John Warner, who is no relation to Mark.
We'll have more throughout the day.

Most Virginians won't care. We already know that Warner represents an agenda of political correctness, increased taxation and NEVER any targeted cuts to pet patronage programs, along with no enhancements to our LIBERTY through restricting the power of government.
The only thing interesting about the Democratic Convention is that they usually have some pretty good riots.
