Former Gov. Mark R. Warner has a campaign setup that's hitting on all cylinders right now - it was crystal clear during his speech In Norfolk on Monday.
The crowd was entertained by a four-piece ensemble - including a trumpet, trombone, tuba and drummer and a gaggle of local elected officials singing Warner's praises - including a couple admirals. Meanwhile staffers set up a host of street signs, a portable backdrop for television interviews and the Rolling Stones sang "Start me up," right when Warner came to the podium.
Ok, somebody jumped the gun and started the Stones a little early, but you get the idea. The campaign is fully managed and prepped for what is likely to be a long tough campaign.
Warner also hit some nice personal moments during his speech, introducing his wife Lisa and two of his daughters before noting that family keeps him from getting to cocky.
"There is a certain amount of humility that you earn having three teenage daughters," he said.
Also in the crowd, a video spotter for former Gov. Jim Gilmore - who is ther frontrunner for the Republican nomination. Like we said before, if Warner's in public he'll probably have a small video camera pointing at him at all times, waiting for the slightest slip.

You mean like the camera the Dems sent into the Republican Advance in NOVA?
