John McCain on the Daily Show tonight....

Set your Tivo, because Sen. John McCain is heading to The Daily Show tonight to talk with funnyman Jon Stewart about the race for the White House.

McCain is a longtime friend of the show, even though it has a liberal bent, so it should make for a good back and forth about the Democratic race and also about McCain. So tune in tonight at 11 p.m. or catch the repeat tomorrow.

Also - you might have missed it but former Del. John Welch, R-Virginia Beach, made a guest appearance on The Daily Show the other night. The show was doing a piece on the awards for political attack ads, and during one of the interviews - a poster of "Welcher" is in the background.

Apparently that political hitman is proud of his work here in Virginia. It wasn't the same guy who brought us "Willie Horton" in 1988, but at least he's in the segment. Please to enjoy.
