Another possible AG candidate surfaces

David M. Foster, the former chairman of the Arlington County School Board, is considering seeking the Republican nomination for attorney general.

Foster, 54, is a longtime member of the Arlington County GOP Committee and served on the school board from 2000 to 2007. He is the co-chair of the antitrust and trade regulation practice group of the international Washington, D.C., law firm of Fulbright and Jaworski.

Foster is a member of the Internet Safety Task Force that was formed by current AG Bob McDonnell, who is preparing to run for governor in 2009.

Foster would join Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, a lawyer from Fairfax County, who has already declared his intentions to run for AG.
