Clinton Standard Time
Hillary Clinton has at least one trait in common with her husband Bill:
Both seem to run behind schedule.
When he served in the White House, Bill Clinton was known to be so habitually late for events that his time schedule became known as Clinton Standard Time, to account for all the delays.
Now comes Hillary. The Clinton campaign called a press conference Wednesday at her national campaign headquarters in Arlington for 2:30 p.m. and told the press to arrive by 2:15 p.m.
When the magic hour arrived, the campaign announced that Clinton was just leaving New York bound for Washington. She showed up for her press conference at about 4 p.m., about 90 minutes late.
But in the hectic pace of a presidential primary campaign, such delays are understandable. And in any case, 4 p.m. likely equates to 2:30 p.m. Clinton Standard Time.
