Belated birthday wishes.....

...from all of us at the Plank to Sen. John Warner, R-Va., who turned 81 on Monday.

``I'm rockin' along at 81," Warner said Friday.

Warner, who maintains a trim figure, said he did not indulge in any birthday cake. But his wife Jeanne, he confided, ``fixed a very special dinner for me."

No word on what was on the menu.

Warner, one of Virginia's most popular and enduring political figures, is giving up his Senate seat when his term expires in January.
