THE TABB BLOG HALL OF FAME: CLASS OF SPRING 2012
The situation here is...we did not have an inductee video because during the time of the selection Popcorn was suing us, so I could not achieve a video before I left for school...but Popcorn sent us this video he made instead...which is a simple paint job...but very impressive for a cat! Anyhow, the inductees names are in, it is all official...or about to be...I just have to announce the names, or explain why they made it, I know usually you can hear Popcorn's voice when the announcement is made...but just imagine it in your head, it is very high pitch...because that is how animal voice sound like....okay, okay with further distraction these are the class of spring 2012 inductees, congratulate them...
- Reilly Maw - As much as I love Adam Parker, Reilly Maw really is the backbone to this time. Maw is what you say when you want the secret weapon used. This guy, for the most part, got one goal or more in just about every game this season. I swear he got the most goals on the team this season. Maw is becoming a verb because the ball gets Maw-ed so much! Good news is he is only a junior, he will be coming back, most likely be a captain, and I would not be surprised to see him play in college on day.
- Bri Jasenak - is almost like Reilly Maw. She just about scored once every game or maybe a little bit more. You can really tell why she is going to play in college. Bri makes the team better sometimes, she was gone for the district championship, and it didn't work so good, but was back for regionals and we were regionals champs! Jasenak was one of our biggest girls soccer stars ever, she made the game better, more recoginized, and, of course, always more fun.
- CJ Freedman - The baseball season was forgettable...it is not that we weren't paying attention, it is just that no one wants to think about it! After like 8 seniors graduated it really affected the team...but I always say Freedman's name as a standout in the game. In a time of darkness, Freedman was the light. This guy is only a freshman too and he was even named team MVP. It makes the future of tabb baseball lookl bright as well...CJ Freedman did amazing this season...and he is just getting started!
- Kimmy Burnette - it was difficult to pick someone from softball. There are not too many well-known names. The well-known is St. John, but she got inducted last year, so who is second well known, which would be Burnette, it might be spelled Kimmie also, but she has been working hard for years. No longer shall she be overlooked. It is the bomber, thet name is used for a reason. I know tabb made like the last spot in the district tournament, but without Burnette, they would not have made it at all.
- Tabb boys lacrosse - tabb boys lacrosse always does good...but this year they uped the anty...almost every game was a blow-out...like 17 or 18 to like 2. They only loss one game, out of league, destroyed Grafton each time, won their league, and even like a state title...a club state title...this was probably the programs best year since its inception. If the success continues...are we still going to be calling it a club sport?
- Micah Hanks - tabb girls track team was pretty good this year. They continue their 4-peat in the 1600, which Micah was apart of, and you can hear her name even more. There many events where Micah was in the top 3, if not the top 2. Hanks is the next Kiara Porter! She is everywhere on this track field, you have no idea. The name of Micah Hanks is probably the most printed name on the team. I do not think she is a senior either, so the best is yet to come.
So, yes here are this spring season's inductees. We carefully examined each sport and these are the names we thought suited the class. The induction dinner in on July 28th and is a $25 meal with a $7 dessert....sorry, but the tabb blog is always trying to make some extra dough...we gotta build this hall...the hall itself will not be opening until 2016....or if you donate enough...who knows...it could be earlier...anyone?
CHIR AAGTH....
I cannot avoid this any longer...the celebration did not quite go as we planned...it was kinda like last year...except no Wesley Wong. Chiraag did not get the state title, it was an intense game. It was in a second tie breaker...and it did not quite end up the best. But there is nothing to be ashamed of, we can still celebrate Chiraagth. Chiraag is a 3-time district and 2-time region winner, has been to state multiple times, and who else is known from tabb tennis? Chiraagth is not a celebratiion of a state title, but an honoring of Chiraag the person. He is a great athlete and a cool dude...state titles are just some other title to give yourself. Chiraag still has one impressive resume', as well as, skill. There are so many who do not win the big game, but are still greats...and when Chiraag plays in college and wins there, he won't be a state champ...but a national champ! That is waaayyyy cooler! Chiraagth is a well deserved holiday in honor to one of our greatest athletes. You had an amazing career Chiraag, I don't know what tennis will be without you...no seriously!
Yeah, this is for today...there is not much going on...like period! Umm...PROM tomorrow...yo Junio as prom king!...but more on that tomorrow....for now congrats inductees, Chiraag, and everyone else no mater what your accomplishment...yep, no matter what. Stay safe mom...like always I'll be around tomorrow, I hop the same for you! I shall see you then, ta ta for now..., Roll Tig!
Peace be with you.
