STRAIGHT UP!

That is what the tabb blog is. It is straight up right here...nothing to hide. Okay, I minimize it when people walk by...they might not get it. By the way one problem with working in the computer lab is the people who don't shut up! People just have regular conversations with one another or do not even excuse themselves when they answer their phone. I do not know what they talking about, but it always sounds like a drug deal. I think most people will be upset if they knew I was doing the blog up on the academic computer...though most do not use it for academia. Most visited: facebook and youtube...but still this why computer labs kinda blow...but I do always have a good connection...so that is why we have the blog today! Yay! Let's get to it....

SCHEDULE

We did not have a schedule up yesterday due to the Sunday Special...for you who are demanding one here it is. The week is pretty packed this week. I don't know what went on yesterday to make it so light...or lite...or liht...okay the last one is not a word...but you know. Considering ap exams are next week I see a not so heavy week in starting on the 7th....well not so heavy concerning sports...studying wize...oh yeah, get ready! Anyhow, this is what we are looking at the 30th - 5th

MONDAY: girls soccer vs. heritage at 6

TUESDAY: tennis vs. lafayette at 4 (boys away, girls home); baseball & softball AT Bruton at 4:30; track meet at Bailey at 4:30; boys soccer vs. grafton at 7:30; girls lacrosse vs. cox at 7

WEDNESDAY: girls soccer vs. grafton at 7 at Bailey

THURSDAY: NOTHING!!!

FRIDAY: Tennis vs. grafton (girls away, boys at home); baseball and softball vs. lafayette at 4; boys soccer AT warhill at 7; girls soccer vs. warhill at 7:30; boys lacrosse vs. hickory at 8

SATURDAY: softball car wash at bp, next to k-mart, at 9:15

Alright...or 'ight...that is what we have for the week...in another 2 or so we may have nothing. How many teams will make it to the post? I guess we will have to do good this week and see what happens in a few weeks. Be apart of it and catch some action...who knows where our teams will end up...maybe you can say you saw a champion...wait this is tabb...you will anyway!

TONIGHT

I did not hear about this game until now. I swear I did not know it was on the schedule...but sometimes surprising challenges appear. Tabb girls soccer is so good that sometimes schools just insist on playing us, so we accept the offer....and then beat them like 12-0! I guess this is one of those cases.  Heritage sounds like good practice to have before grafton...so bring it on! And what type of name is heritage anyway?! Well, okay, I will tell you about tabb's heritage...we are winners.  Everything from tabb is just golden. We were raised knowing how not lose...that is where we are coming from. I do not know about heritage's heritage. We are also keeping our heritage alive...tabb girls soccer has only been defeated once and has done alotta that winning that has been going on since the early days of tabb, sooooo we kinda know what we are doing. Do you know how many girls have like over 5 goals this season? I swear almost half...just name someone...B-Jazz, F-Bomb, the Hawk...and having your name/nickname appear on this blog count as a goal too...so I think my claim is correct. This game is all about our past. Why? Is it just because of the name of the school...yes! You will see tabb blood runs deep. What else is there to do on a Monday? And the game is at 6...so it will be done by 7 or so....early night...you van get work done and see a tabb win! That's a good night! Tonight at 6 tabb girls soccer is making the hair stand on heritage, be there or be lame!

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

girls 4x400 relay team - for doing so well at the Penn Relays

All who were apart of signing day - for being able to play on the next level

Boys soccer - for coming back and making the lafayette game a time

All involved ni the May 5k - for giving your time and making it a good time

Did I miss someone? Let it be known!

THE WINNER

6a00d83451d73669e2015390ba44c3970b-800wi

Do not be afraid, he is smiling! Kirby has much to be happy about! No, he is not settling down or anything. You know Kirby...and that way too much right now. The story is like this, we were going to sponsor someone for the May 5k. We went with the Kamikaze himself, Jake Kimball, but we kinda did all that without his consent. Though most appearance on this blog are that way, we cannot force him to volunteer. Jake said he was busy with like work and school and other dumb stuff...so we need to find a substitute...so why not Kirby? It is at his home anyway. He was allowed to participate. Take note of this, because you can register next year and so can your dog! Kirby did excellent! He came in first and not just in the tiger category, but overall. Can you seen tigers run? It was a give he was going to win! Kirby thought it was a little unfair because he was built fo running, so insisted the medal be given to the closet human to him...and that guy ran in about 20 minutes later! But bravo to Kirby and all in the 5k. It sounds as if everything went even better than planned. Now that Kirby was able to run maybe Popcorn can do it next year! Now Kirby will just do his usual, picking up chicks and hibernating...hopefully he won't mix the two!

W have come to the close, so here is a shoutie wishing girls soccer good luck, congratulating Kirby and everyone else who ran, and everyone to have a good day. This is all I really have...so...yeah...bye! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The tabb blog really does come in peace

You think I forgot about the Sunday Special in the month of April? No way!...and by the way the month is over on Tuesday! We still made it in time...I just kinda forgot where I saved it at...but the interview is found and the special lives on! This month we have Sargent Sutton Nichols from tabb boys soccer fame. What would happen if you did not have soccer? A lot of free time!

Greatest accomplishment in the sport? I have been named all-district before

What do you think of Japan? They may have won the women's world cup, but USA has won other world events...like wars

What would you like to accomplish this season? If we could make it back to where were last year, that would be awesome!

What are your season projections? You never know until you play the game, but I think we will be pretty successful overall

What do you think of George Mason? Best educational foundation ever to exist! I hope I attend one day!

EARLY, EARLY

100_1382
I got this from doing a 5k yesterday...and if you do the May 5k this morning...I should probably sa did. By the time the race is finished with is probably like now or so...but yeah the May 5k is today. I hope everyone remembered and had a good time. I do not really cared who won, that doesn't matter...unless it was blog sponsored Jake Kimball! I have no actual story on this...but I know it was a great time for all who were involved. I'll see if any stories arise from this event...for now all I have are stories that arose from yesterday's events...and we are going a bit fast today...because I got stuff to do...so without anymore delays, here ar the results from yesterday's games.

OKAY...

It might say something if that is the best title I can come up with...but yesterday things went...okay at the baseball game. Was it a win?....no...but it was a close game...it was not like any of the previous games we have played this season. The final score ending up 5 to 3...that is only by 2 points...which is not horrendous...considering the amount of points we have been down this season, this was a very good game. We did not have many stand-outs...except for our secret weapon, the little giant himself, Ben Phifer who went 2-3 with a double and a run. Winning is a slow progress, first you almost get it, then maybe a tie overtime loss, and then finally you learn how to win. Expect an extra innings loss before we win again...in 2 games. It was still a good job. It is an honorable loss. I see better things coming. For all I know baseball did better than softball because softball's score was not posted, which is always weird because they are at the same place...one guy can't cover both. Softball has won before and had close losses....so they know how to win, it just has been awhile...until yesterday! I am predicting a 4 to 2 win...it is modest. Nothing outrageous. St. John put in a double run, Crawford for in a run, and the Blur scored one in. I hope it is like this.  enjoy it when we have both scores too...but we don't....so this is just as good...I think. Good job still. I know both team performed very well.

YEAH

I am not doing so good with titles today, am I? Whatever, I am recovering from a crazy night...you have no idea!...but enough about my wild college life...how about some wild soccer life in sight? We have good stories from both teams. I am starting with the girls first. The boys have a little more epic story...but the girls just won epically (did sentence make sense?). Anyhow,  my usual girls soccer insider was out of town, but I still got the results because my posse rolls deep! We got people son...feel me (those were her words not mine!)...but it is good. I really do have connections at girls soccer...and, of course field hockey. The girls did it again, destroyed a team, it endeed up being 7 to 1. The first goal was scored by B-Jazz from an assist by Magic Macy, Lexi Williams got the second goal, Jasenak got two more goals one of which was assisted by William, E-Rich got a goal in assisted by Jazz, Brew-Thru sunk in a goal, and Hollie Holy put one in...and that is 7 goals...another pretty epic win...it was almost a mercy rule! What can stop this team? Welll....Grafton ...not saying they can do it...but it is a big game, a big week, make sure you are there...by the way these girls are playing who doesn't want to see grafton soccer loss by a mercy rule? Good job girls. Just keep doing your thing.                                                                                               .......now for the guys....it was not a big blow-out win like it was for the girls. In fact, most of the game did not even looked as if it was going to be a win...but, if you have not heard, this is a comeback story. I will be honest, boys soccer is kinda like softball, no actual score was posted. There was a mention, but I have no idea who scored these goals. I do know tabb boys soccer was down 2-0 most of the game and came back and scored 2 goals and ended up making the game a tie. I think that is a good stuff, it is a Williamsburg team after all. Our team did not give up. Boys soccer is not out of it. I apologize for not knowing who was responsible for the goals...but I bet Maw is one...no seriously he gets at least one every game! But good job to the entire team, there is no giving up at T-A-Double B!

AWAY

We do have games today....but all them are away...like far away. Umm...they are all lacrosse, by the way, I do not know last night's score either, but I know about today's game. It is strange they are so far away. At 12 today the girls take on Princess Anne, which is like in Virginia Beach...but they are playing in the OBX! It is a nice vacation..but maybe a bit early for really good weather, the water will be cold!  Then the boys take on Warhill...in Atlee, which is outside of Richmond, I do not know the time or why we are even playing in Atlee...but okay. It is a lacrosse road trip today, everyone is driving an hour or so...hopefully it will be worth it. Honestly, we know they are going to win...who am I kidding? What else do I even need to say? Sorry all the games are so far away, but the areas they are at are pretty nice, so come join the road trip! No stopping until OBX...or Atlee! Best of luck to the teams playing!

We do not have anything special, just the generic material, come see what we have tomorrow. More surprises this week...I mean it is Grafton week! But, yeah I do have work to accomplish...which is do so...this is a brief so long, good job to all teams who played and everyone involved in the 5k and good luck to lacrosse today...and that is it for me. I am out, see you tomorrow, nothing left to say but...Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

If the tabb blog was a grade it would be an A+...19 months worth!

04/27/2012

HERE, HERE

The tabb is around, no need to fear. After quite an uneventful day we have some stuff going on today...more than one thing. I hoped you enjoyed your night off...because it is time to get back to business. By the way, can you believe May is like next week?! I swear it was still Feburary. Spring goes by so fast...which is good...because it leads to the best season of all, summer! Do not get too excited yet, it is still April! We are not even in the post yet! I am still in school even! No good times until I am out, so here is the blog today...it's good...well...just read...

RESULTS

There is still no word on whether that track meet actually take place on Wednesday or Thursday, but there are some track results....at the Penn Relays. Forget the high school schedule, this is the big time! It is like one big track event and Tabb was represented very nicely. The 4x400 girl relay team won their heat with a time of 3:56.67. The members of this elite team were Leigh Ann Soistmann, Micah Hanks, Taylor Omweg and Brittni King. Three out of these four were on the indoor track state winning team. Out of the 470 schools participating in the relays Tabb finished 22nd and had the fastest time than any other Peninsula-area school. A big congrats to them and their accomplishments. I am good with having this results instead of what happened this week. This is probably more impressive. It is a resmue' win, put this on there, getting hired will not be so bad...depends on the job. But, yeah...Tabb burning down Philly! I am cool with that, ever meet people from there? yeesh! Anyhow, we left our mark on the ivy league and then some, congrats to everyone involved.

TODAY

This season really is going by fast...is it just me or does it seem as if we just played New Kent in baseball and softball. I swear a couple of weeks ago this game too place. I know we play everyone twice, but this one just seems earlier than usual. Anyhow, yeah, baseball at New Kent...if there ever was a time we'd play closet to a cornfield, it would be this game. It is kinda in the middle of nowhere, almost...but those terms then a miracle could possibly occur...and tabb baseball could use one. It is not horrible, but are the new fish in the pond. Most teams in our district are very well experience, well our guys are new playing at this level. Everyone loves a story of the little taking down the big guy, so I would like that to be our perspective. Tabb is not being pushed around, no more 19-0, no sir. We have the Freak, the Buffer, Shoeless Page, the Ghoun, the Piped Phifer, and so many more, with that there is no way we should even be where we are at. Watch out today at 4:30, tings will be a little different, Tabb is taking charge. Also, of course, at 4:30 also at New Kent softball will be playing....again, I said of course. That is not much of a surprise...when haven't that played on the same day? Anyhow, softball has struggled, but it is not as bad as baseball. The girls have gotten some runs in before, a few close games, and a couple blowouts, but when they gey blown out it is barely in the double digits. It is still not amazing and our girls deserve better. I mean we have the Saint, the bomber, the Beamer, the Blur, Crawfish...bad nickname...we are working on it! But softball is not being...well soft...anymore either. I told you guyas our base sports are making it the district tournament...and I meant it...we all do! Today at 4:30 at New Kent, you'll see how much we mean it...so be there or be lame!

I think this is a big game tonight, soccer taking on Lafayette. People from the burg know how to play some soccer...and lacrosse. That is their claim to fame. I do not know about the girls team, but the boys are suppose to be pretty good. Everyone thought tabb boys soccer would have louzy year, but guess who is still in this race, oh, we are! Tabb soccer is an army of one, Sargent Sutton, Admiral Adam, Major Maw, General Jansen, and anyone else we can think of a name with aliteration that is a military rank! We are ready for lambs...I would not call them rams...many fear rams...but no one really feels that way about Lafayette, so no rams here. Tonight at 7 at Lafayette, you'll see. Also tonight, but 30 minutes later and at tabb girls soccer takes on lafayette. The last time the team took on a team from Williamsburg it did not end up so swell...but that was awhile back...it was the first official game of the season. These girls have improvd greatly since. How many of the games this season have been mercy ruled? I say 5 or more...give me close to 5, at least! Our roster runs deep, B-Jazz, F-bomb, the Hawk, Battleship, the O, the Handler, the list goes on and on. I am not saying this will be a mercy rule, but I say it will be a win...and what is better than that? I never lose faith in girls soccer...or tabb soccer in general...and neither should you. Tonight at 7:30, the girls play Lafayette...so you know what to do (be there or be lame).

Lacrosse's season is finished with in like a week or so and the championship game will be like Mid-may, so like 2 weeks. They can do that, they are not actually a school sport...but enough people play it! That season is ending soon enough, so you gotta stop by and see a game. This game has been special, every game for the boys has been about a huge win, over the top. I hope there are mercy rules in lacrosse. If not I bet they will create one, all because of our team. Tonight the boys takes on Cox the sportscomplex, behind Wendy's. If you are not really into any of the sports going on tonight and want to save some money then give boys lacrosse a look. The game is free, the team is good, and it is not that chilly...which by the way, why is it so cold in May? Anyhow, I do not know what to say about Cox, except goodbye! Oh snap, I did just write that! Tonight at 7 at the York County Sportscomplex, come see boys lacrosse finish one of their last games of the season, champs soon...hopefully, Cox champs at least...so be there for that...or you shall be known as being lame...really lame!

FASHIONABLY LATE

35633_515025224652_149100458_30399068_2615471_n How many made the fashion show last night? I hope many of you. If you went you have noticed that the special guest was missing. This does have to do with his picture. Tisa had to make a quick run-home to Europe, but promised to be back in time for show. When an hour remained until show and no Tisa was in sight this was picture was emailed to me...it seems as if Tisa had, had some bad luck and got snowed in. She was in our area, but bad to leave. For what? I don't know lucky dress or make-up...or something like that...Tisa really avoids me...but anyhow I apologize our special guest could not make it. Perhaps when the snow melts, she will return to make an appearance somewhere...graduation? ...or maybe someone else will? That time still has time to come...but the fashion show was still good. I heard good things and I know everyone had fun. Josh was a model even, our singer! Perhaps one day Tisa will return again, btu you cannot blame the weather, know what I mean? Where in Europe did it snow? Aaaahh...

Okay, I am done. Shouties wishing everyone luck tonight, congrats to the girls involved in the Penn relays, hope everyone had fun at the fashion show, hopefully you shall return Tisa, have a good day to all, and I really have nothing left. I am just going to end it for real! I go a busy day ahead....so see you tomorrow. Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The tabb blog has been a fashion setter...ear-muffs!

TODAY, TODAY

100_1377
See I did not forget about Earth Day....or Mother Nature Day...or whatever we are going to call it. I appreciate this planet as much as anyone else does. If you are done with using your computer, after you are done reading this, turn it off...as well as any other electrictronic items that are not being used. Recycle, things can come back as even cooler things...like the computer you are using...think about it. Don't leave water running...many places do not even have running water and if they do they probably should not be drinking. Do no burn fossil fuels, I know the massive bonfire is awesome, but the even more thinning of the o-zone layer is not! Save the polar bears, I know they are far away and dangerous, but after you save them they will be eternally grateful and who does not want a pet polar bear? There are rewards for all of these things, so just because I was late on Earth Day does not mean you should be, in fact we should not even have an Earth Day. We should celebrate our Earth everyday. I help out my plant Thomas (pictured) all the time. So just remember the power is yours....I'll stop with the green text now.

YESTERDAY....

I do not have much from yesterday...because not much was posted from yesterday. First, it was the boys tennis team that was all the way up in Bruton, so the fact we did not have their results knda makes sense...that is far, at least 30 minutes or so...but we do have the girl results...and it is good news...yes, they won 6 to 3, which is like a blow-out in tennis? It sounds really nonetheless. Our results look like the following Hogge (T) d. James 6-2, 6-1;  Purdy (T) d. Houghland 6-4, 6-3; Talley (T) d. Baden-Lopes 6-1, 6-2; Craig (T) d. Adams 6-4, 6-2. Doubles: Hogge-Purdy (T) d. James-Willi 8-6; Reinagel-Houghland (B) d. Hendron-Guadette 8-5; Sanford-Hwang (T) d. Baden-Lopes. I not sure what all these numbers mean...but they are wins...I only post winning stats. I know Bruton had 3 points, but that is for the Bruton sports bkog! Go find that leo the lion! But, yeah girls tennis won again...I hope we can say the same about the boys...I think we can. They did pretty alright last time...though they did not win, I recall,...but still I know they won...I say like 11-2...is that possible in tennis? It is on this blog!! Chiraag Shetty back at states, winning this time, I am calling it! Oh, if the track team is today or yesterday I do not have the results...we will see if I have them tomorrow and then we will see what day it really too place! Good job to all who did play, whether we know how it ended up or not, I am sure it is great.

TOMORROW

We do not really have anything going on today, so instead we are going to talk about things going on...because there are several things that are taking place this afternoon...I mean yesterday afternoon. I like having Thursday night off, it is relaxing, Thursday night is underrated, you can have as much fun as you can on a Friday....who cares about school the next day...c'mon, I mean seriously seniors! Anyhow, here is a brief run down of events...

  • Baseball and softball have not had a good week. The last game was really tough and did not end up the way we really wanted it to...but that is why we have this game. It is New Kent, if it is not an easy win then it will just be a good day. Our teams are not getting blown-out again! This game will be worthwhile...in fact it is all the way at New Kent, a baseball and softball win has not really took place in some time...so yeah the distance does seem that bad. Baseball has the Buffer make sure things as planned...the buffering does not take as long as you think it does. Softball the saint, which is a good type of person to have on your side. I am feeling good about these...and you should too. Where is the fan support? Tomorrow at 4:30 at New Kent, Tabb baseball and softball are playing, so be there or be lame!
  • Boys and girls have had like a week off. We have not seen them play in sometime. Last week there we like 5 games...for the girls at least. They deserved the little break and now they are back and playing Lafayette. I do not know about this game...all I am saying is Williamsburg teams are good. Better keep focused when playing. Lafayette maybe a second rate Jamestown, but still do not count them out! These should be good games. Major Maw and the rest of the boys soccer corps. start first at 7 up at Lafayette. B-Jazz and the rest of the girls do not start playing until 7:30 against Lafayette but they are at home. No matter where are you are, far or away, you can see a tabb soccer...except if you are really far away! This is our soccer action tomorrow, spring football, be sure to check it out, be there...well you know what I am going to say next!
  • I did not have much lacrosse stuff up this week...mostly because there was none! But tomorrow boys lacrosse has a game going on. Which by the way, their entire season is ending soon. The championship (if we make it that far...do I need to say that?) will probably be in like a week or 2. Anyhow, the boys lacrosse team are back too after a week of absent. They are playing Cox...do not worry nothing bad will happen to your cable, just this team. C'mon boys lacrosse usually win every game like 17-0...we got nothing to worry about. I see them being champ in the near future...anyone else? Go see the game if you do not believe that, tomorrow at the Sportscomplex at 7...okay, I'll say it again, my trademark, be there or be lame!

And that is our tomorrow....I told you it was alot!

MOVIE NEWS

I made this announcement like a week ago, but never followed up on it. Only because casting this film was such a difficult process. There were so few rules and so many great thespians. After long review I think the list is final. I had to make some adjustments to the script, but I think it all worked out...or will. The younger version of me will no longer be included, but we did find a subsistute role for Emily...and the Wiz will produce instead and not play himself, but a few will do so. We are in talk with Krista to direct as well. It is looking to be a great film. Finally here is the cast list...these are just the main characters...

Qunicy as Martin Phillips

Commander Curren as the Wiz Kid

Krista Meyer as herself and most of the field hockey team

Adam Parker as himself and Coach Baggett

Shaq Rodney as Quincy

Tom Malone as Dan the Dude and himself

Joe Nelson as Michael Quintana and Chris DiOrio and Junio and himself

Emily Yelton as Ben Phifer and children fan and all other small parts (small was in size)

Chiraag Shetty as himself and fortune teller and Shaq Rodney and a few other bball players

Sutton Nichols as members of the girls soccer team and Derek the Dingo and Red

Josh Williams as himself and 4.7

That is about it. It is pretty packed, but we are always looking for new talent, try out if you wish, you still can and maybe you can find a spot for yourself. There plenty here to be honest, but we starting film on June 21st, so do it by then. This film will be worth your time, it is like The Avengers...except for next year!

Yes, this it for today...oh, actually tonight is not a free night, the fashion show is going on at 6:30. Only $4 and it is going to cystic fibrosis and there are like hundreds and door prizes and Tisa!! It will be worth it...it is at school too. You will not want to miss this. Wait until you see our models. I believe this is the last day you can register for the May 5k http://www.active.com/running/yorktown-va/4th-annual-tabb-high-school-may-day-5k-2012 be apart of the fun, it is a good time as well! Man, there is no games going on today and we are already at 1400 words! I blame earth Day! Time to go, have a good one, see ya tomorrow with more! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The Tabb blog is actually about 20 years old...in blog years.

YEP, YEP

Is it Wednesday?? I believe so. Hump Day...which I always thought was a weird name too...but the week is almost done...and I am not really sick. Everything is getting better it seems. Next week is the last week of class...that's sweet...oh, well last week for me and my school...oh, there is still public school? Bummer...crap, I gotta continue to write this?! Well...we only got a month and a half left anyway, no big deal...I can do it...we can do it...I am dealing with my ending, do not deal with yours just yet, there is still much to be done like exams, SOLs, ceremonies, homework, extra credit, reading the tabb sports blog....oh, hey, you can get one of those done....

YESTERDAY :/

That is how baseball results are this season...just kinda bland...nothing I want to share, but I have to. It really shows that last year was senior lead. We knew things could end up this way, but never imagined it to be this bad...bad...or our team is just strugglin'...we have a team of youngins. They are trying their best, but are facing very experienced players. I am sure we will never have a 19-run loss again, fingers crossed, Poquoson just beat us 11-1...much credit to the Hero Harley Page, who got the only run in by getting a single! All the other stats are credited to Poquoson because they got alotta runs in. It is tough, but Tabb shall prevail. We are not lying over for anyone, just d o your thing and we'll do ours. In time it will be us beating you 17-0, give it 3 years, but for now...I mean not like Poquoson is ahving another 2009 season, enjoy the win...but it's not going to get you anywhere!  Next game is AT New Kent on friday...and no, we are not the new New Kent! Softball did not favor too well yesterday either. They always put up a little more of a fight than th guys, but things always end up the same...actually this time is not too good. Poquoson won 8-0...which is something no one wants to hear...but it happens. My goal of beating Poquoson all year, is not going to happen...but was also a little unrealistic! Softball still always does good, whether they score runs or not, I think yesterday was one of those days. Tabb still has one of the top softball pitcher, St. John, and one of our girls just signed to play in college, Crawford, so I think softball is still doing good. Shake it off and get ready for Friday...at 4 at New Kent...be there or be lame!

TODAY?

I have read a couple of things that are going on today. Originally, it was just tennis. Tennis is taking on Bruton this afternoon. The green balls of fury will be gaining much...I do not know even know what I am saying! Our teams are pretty decent and deserve your support...by actually showing up....because so few do...ever! Both have won matches this year, which some did not think was going to happen...but tabb proved them wrong again. The boys are at home versus Bruton and girls are at Bruton, whichever one you attend, just know it will be worth it...I swear, they'll make you ball boy...and doesn't want to do that? That is today at 4,so again, think how many people actually go out and see them play, start the new trend! Okay, so there is, but then according to the schedule on the y-line track has a meet at Smithfield tomorrow, but HRVarsity says that it is today. You has a better record? I kinda feel hrvarsity doesn't, but then again, maybe someone messed up tthe y-line this week? Either way this is a big event...how many track meets have I covered this season? This is the first! I am not even sure who is on the team...she took a break last season...but is Amazing Aymonin back? We've missed here on the track team...remember, Tabb set records in spring track last semester...time to break those! It is either today or tomorrow, if today, then tomorrow will be very open on this blog...but...I guess...we'll find out...who is actually going all the way to Smithfield?! It is at 4:30...maybe...today or tomorrow, so be there or be lame! ..and that is today!

BIRTHDAY WISHES...?

Ssssss
It is his 21st birthday and by this picture it looks as if he is already celebrating! It is our friend, annoyance Red...which we have not seen in awhile...and we did not hear any complaints about that...but it is his birthday, so we should give him as little bit of a shoutie. Also, this is an open invitation to his birthday bash. Red always has a big all out party on the day of his birth. I remember some good times back in the day...from skinny dipping on land, illegal hot fudge sundae making (you can use too much fudge), condoms on doorknobs (long story...crazy party...only time the cops showed up...to party with us!!), playing dress-up (you do not want to know that story either), and a bunch of other memories we all cannot fully recall. I know it all sounds like fun and you guys are all invited...but there is one catch, it is in Alabama. I know it's dumb, but that is where he lives now. He does suck, but I got my vip pass and pick up jet...so you can come with me...but I am also 3 hours away. Why am I even writing this? I guess to talk about  how awesome we are!! Yay! Red may visit this summer...so watch out for some party time!! For happy birthday Red...let's make some sundaes!

That is today...we will see what actually goes on. Here is a shoutie wishing all the teams who may/ may not be playing good luck, happy bday Red, let's stop calling it Hump Day, and have a good day. Tomorrow is big, kinda, the fashion show takes place at 6:30, Tisa is getting much rest before it...yeah...I just can't find her! It is the last day to sign up for the May 5k on Saturday and it is one day before Friday...what more do you need? This to end? You got it. See ya tomorrow homies! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The tabb blog is available in space...you're welcome Uranus.

04/24/2012

YEAH, YEAH!!

P4241017
We are pushign back Mother Nature Day...or whatever...to celebrate National Signing Day...well actually signing day is Feb. 1st, but here at Tabb we like to acommadate all our athletes, so wait until everyone signs. At this ceremony, no one actually sign sqat...it just looks legit. It is a special to get all our 'next level' athletes together. Sorry, I cannot name you everyone, though most I have already announced, but we can try and see if we know anyone in the picture...look, Tom Malone has a pretty nice shirt on...and Scott where is your school shirt?...Joe is still not smiling! There are so many people in this picture....like many I have never even heard of...but I can assure you, at least one person from every sport did get signed somewhere, even if they technically did not sign anything, but it is still a reason to celebrate. So many athletes have accomplish so much and will continue to do in college. A  big congrats goes out to all. I may not have all your names now...but I am sure we all will hear them one day...

TODAY

The sports keep on going and going...actually...not so much. Surprise, the girls lacrosse game was not posted...I do not k now if that game even want on...was it raining down there too? I can't really comment on the wetness, but baseball and softball are scheduled to play Poquoson this afternoon. Poquoson has no problem playing in damp conditions...they are from a swamp...who do you think swamp people was based upon!! Anyhow, the game is at home at 4:30, thirty minutes later, so everyone has a chance to watch. There are a few teams tabb baseball can't quite beat...let's be honest...I think we are praying we don't face Grafton anytime soon, but Poquoson does not quite fit the category. The 'ight...but Tabb can perciver. Who else has the Buffer? The Little Giant? The Freak? The Ghoun? the Page? They allhelped us before win and now they can do it again. Trust me, there is more bull about Poquoson than you think! ...and not just in baseball...softball, anyone? Poquoson might still have a good softball team. Our team means so well, but just can't get the win sometimes. They deserve a much better record, but they have learned from their mistakes and are getting everyone back...starting with Poquoson. There is no chance, St. John, Burnette, Crawford (who signed with Sweet Brier, yesterday), that one girl I cannot pronounce our last name, and so many more. It is a win today baby...if it is actually dry enough...our base sports are not out (get it?), and won't be for awhile. Today at 4:30 at tabb, take yourself out to the ball game....or just be lame!

TOMORROW

Only one thing is going on tomorrow too...but it probably won't draw as big of a crowd as today's...or maybe even that girls lacrosse game that possibly went on. Anyhow, if you have guessed it, we are talking about tennis. Not many go to the games, I know, but you should! It is alot more than Chiraag Shetty...the team has won on their own...or have had very close matches. They have improved from years past, both the girls and the boys. So in this circumstance I do declare that everyone attend the tennis courts tomorrow at 4. I cannot recall if boys are home or girls are away, but whoever is away is at Bruton...so stick at tabb. There are no chairs or bench, so you will need to bring your own...maybe this explains the low attendance! It will be worth your time. Tennis courts have not had this much hype since the 1800s in France! At Tabb we are starting something big. We are taking something over ourselves and it is the Bay Rivers District! Tennis has their own  entire day tomorrow and will shine, so make sure you make it. Tomorrow at 4 boys at home, girls away (just looked it up), so be there or be lame!

SHE'S HERE

185_20741364520_744614520_284536_8023_n
and really does not want to be disturbed...but for the fashion show on Thursday (6:30 in the auditorium), we promised her and here she is....Tisa Forest the Forrest Fire. From her career as a bbal star, model, author, actress, activists, and even voice actor, Tisa makes her first appearance in Yorktown, VA in 3 year. She will bring her runaway knowledge to the talent. In fact she is wearing something she designed herself! She is a Jill of all Trades! As you can see Tisa is in town already...but she is keeping on the down-low. She is visiting old places, people, etc...and does not want any big deal of her return made. It has been a long time, but only respectful if we understand. Just keep an eye out around time...and perhaps you will se someone familiar. An old star that you thought fell already....far from it sir! But, yeah the fashion show in in 2 days and people are already getting set up. It is a good deal, it is $4, all money goes to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and there are 40 diferent door prizes to be won! If you do not like fashion, it should be fun. The Forest Fire burns again, on Thursday, perhaps for a last time...I promised I'd leave her alone after this show...forever!

Hey kids, this is it...yeah it is kinda short again!! But I'll have more news and pictures tomorrow...no seriously, I always have stuff lined up in the work. Patience is a virtue. Good luck to baseball and softball, let the field be dry, congrats to all playing in college, and everyone have a good day. I will see you tomorrow, now I have to make a decision, go to class or take a nap...it is difficult...that is usual a choice I have to take everyday! You too? We get it...we'll I'll see ya! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The Tabb blog originally only existed in the mind.

OKAY, OKAY

It is a new week and almost May, both of which, I find hard to believe. I have been missing alotta holidays lately. Yesterday was Earth Day then Friday was Hitler's birthday...I guess that is not a holiday, but a day...well, someone celebrates it...unfortunately! 4/20 has other holiday themes...I am not too familiar with it...but ask around. Okay, I missed Earth Day...I devoted an entry about last year with Captain America writing the first paragraph...okay it was not that good!! I notice on a school calendar in a hall way they accidentally wrote the 20th as Earth Day and someone wrote some very disapproving comments...but seriously who cares about Earth Day! It is not like they got the date of Christmas wrong! By the way, everyday is Earth Day...so...this blog is very environmentally friendly, we are printed on the internet, so we have been saving paper forever! Tabb blog will have our Earth Day, we can't call it Earth Day....so Mother Nature Day...I like moms...but yeah, going green tomorrow! Anyhow, more events are coming, no more bland intros...we got a bunch of stuff for you!! But now we just got regular sports news...

TONIGHT

No real sports are going on tonight...but there is a club meeting, do you people get upset when I refer to lacrosse games as club meetings...technically wouldn't they be? Okay, fine, there is a girls lacrosse game today...and nothing else. Lacrosse has nothing to compete with...it is there night! Usually there are some other school sports playing, but tonight girls lacrosse is the school sport...almost. They are playing Cox...I feel we could make several jokes out that name...but how about we just make fun of them for their playing skills. Okay...I do not know any of that...but I know tabb girls lacrosse is doing really well...and that is all have and all I need. For those you think Wusking does not go on anymore, tabb girls lacrosse is for you. Those who are looking for a sport with a little Bourgeosis, tabb girls lacrosse is for you. For those who have wonder what ever became of many female sports stars of the fall, come see tabb girls lacrosse and you shall find out! Many are still playing and achieving much success...it will continue today with Cox. Girls lacrosse just has a little more than boys...it can't be explained, just come and see tonight at 7 at Yorktown Middle, one sport wants to fill up your Monday and make it not suck, thank them for that, tabb girls larosse are taking down Cox, be there or be lame! ...and good luck girls!

TOMORROW

It is a little strange this week...usually each day has multiple sports, but this week only Friday is packed full. Everyday until then has like one thing going...do not be disappointed, now I do not have to write 1500 words!! Tomorrow, there are actually two sports going on, but they are kinda the same...you know the base sports. Baseball and softball take on Poquoson tomorrow, I do not like the sound of that either...but e have to play! Tabb does not get scared out of anything! Poquoson is not as good as they were...hey, this is not 2009! Get real...but, yeah they are still kinda decent...I think they beat us last time...so, they have that going for them...but it was not a big win...Poquoson is no Grafton or York team...winning these game is a possibility. Never let go of hope, we put on surprises last year...and this year...well if baseball and softball can do surprises they can do miracles! We will be in the tournament and it'll happen...but we have to start with Poquoson...and maybe before this game...there is still time...more depth coverage of this tomorrow...but for now be aware tomorrow at 4:30 at tabb, baseball and softball both take on Poquoson...sorry no trailer parking is at the school...so be there or be hick...good? It is topical..kinda...

POPCORN'S PICKS

B79b67df69eb__1316441211000
You cannot hide from us Popcorn....seriously, you only work one day a week, people would adore your schedule...if they got paid alot...how much Popcorn get paid? Aaah...nevermind that! It is Monday, we do what we always do, which is, asking my cat who he thinks will win Friday's baseball games. Why?...well we have to make him useful somehow....and by doing so he helps out the blog, so it is a win-win situation...or at least...or at least in my eyes. His record will be up soon, still calculating, but at this moment and time all we have for you is his picks...so without further adue, here are Popcorn's Picks

York 13   Smithfield 1

Warhill 5  Bruton 2

Jamestown 6   Poquoson 2

Grafton 11   Lafayette 3

Tabb 100  New Kent

If a score of 100 ever occurs in baseball, EVER!, we can all say Popcorn did call it! These are his picks, like they always are. You may not agree or think some are a bit outrageous...but they are picked by a 2 1/2 year-old cat...so...yeah...

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Courtney Keifer - for making her first soccer goal on the varsity level

Girl tennis - for winning their matches instead of the boys team being the only tennis winners

Reily Maw - for scoring 4 goals against Bruton

Shaq Rodney and Will Baggett - for committing to play at Shenandoah University

Did I miss anyone? Let it be known!

FAN OF THE YEAR

I have been doing players of the week, players of the month, hal of fame inductees...but I have never done anything with my fans! Are there any fans of this blog out there? Anyone? I am sure someone has been loyal this whole 2 years of the blog's existence...so like so many teams and other places do, we want to honor you...this blog does, nonetheless. Starting in May let us whenever how big of a fan you are...anyway, by videos, cards, songs, pictures,...anything you have to prove you are the biggest tabb sports blog fan...and we will honor you...not with the title of fan of year...but just biggest fan in general! Yes, we are looking for our #1...we have so many titles filled except this one, so if you know you love this blog (hopefully someone) let it be known...being the #1 fan of this blog brings much benefits...like ahh...well you will just have to wait and...so calling all fans, if we have any....the time to rave about us is now....so please...someone do it...no seriously please...I really think no one reads anymore!

This is it my audience...if I have an audience...but yeah...I do not have much for this paragraph, so just keep it real and good luck to girls lacrosse and Mother Nature Day is tomorrow and any other holiday you can think of...so have a good one and be back and now I am gone! ...no really...I am out! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

WELL, WELL

Yeah...tabb sports blog...back on track and that's fact, so what is up Jack? ....yep, it is one of those days...but I am trying to write this...so bare with me...hey, it is a Sunday, why am I writing this? Oh, because I always do! Do not expect any amazing today, but you will get the info you will need...so, yeah, here we are today. Is it raining down there? It is raining here and I have cold...I am not in the writing mood, but I have to and I have been procrastinating this for almost an hour now...so let's just do this to get it done! Here, we are starting....NOW!

SCHEDULE

It is still a normal week, the regular season is still upon us...give it like3 weeks and maybe we will be in the post...but how many teams will been in there? That is why we have to play this games during the week, so we can make sure all our teams make it in it.  And there are always plenty of games for you to make, so do something, make a game any game, coming up soon you won't have that opportunity! Here are the games scheduled this week....

MONDAY: Girls lacrosse vs. Cox at 7

TUESDAY:  Baseball and softball vs. Poquoson at 4:30

WEDNESDAY: tennis against Bruton at 4:00

THURSDAY: Track AT Smithfield atk 4:30

FRIDAY: Baseball and softball AT New Kent 4; girls soccer against Lafayette at 7:30; Boys soccer AT Layfayette at 7; Boys lacrosse against First Colonial

SATURDAY: May Day 5k!!! Girls alccrosse vs Princess Anne at 12 in OBX!!; boy lacrosse aagainst some Richmond team

Okay, it is a light week...or lite?....it starts out with not so much then when the weekend hits...so much, but it is all good. There are still things for you to make and see...and even run ad there is more, stick around this week, and you will see!

LACROSSE

We are behind on our lacrosse results....those you want to know probably already know by now, but I will still include 'em...but I like to be fair...right....well I believe we are two games behind. To start with the boys they beat both their 2 last challengers Maury was 14 to 2, the game was so bad they cancelled it like th tv show...wait is that show cancelled yet?...Really?! Anyhow, that came and was conquered! Then Cox got beat by our tabb boys lacrosse team 11 to 2, close to the last score, but still a win! These keep on doing it and even beat Grafton, successful season, I say; ye! Watch for more games this week and hopefully I have some time to post them on time! Speaking of Cox, the girls lacrosse team plays them tomorrow...should we be worried about the outcome?...well their results from their last game still hav been posted!....but the rest of the previous games have been pretty big wins...except this one...but there is always one time for everything, so disregard that! Hopefully, gets up there tomorrow or the next day, so I can have stuff on time. From the Wusk to the Great Oak to Mad Madison, there is enough evidence to prove that last game was win. Go to the game tomorrow to suport, enjoy, and give me the score, tomorrow at Yorktown middle at 7, be there or be lame.

GET PUMPED

Jjjj
It is the May Day 5k! Isn't this the 4th annual? I guess the big celebration on 5th anniversary?...but it still a big deal! I walked it last year, it was my first 5k and since then I have walked about 6 or 7, so I can compete with those people who can bumper stickers that read '13.1'...let's 3 x 6 is 18...so I have been like 18 or 21.1 miles...something like that...do you have a bumper sticker for me? Okay, maybe I should not be counting if I am a real runner! But I can't run it, I am busy, but I found someone to sponsor, who is not...the Kamikaze Kimball...who has no extracuilars around my school, he suffered a back injury during this club football season, so I has been missing out on athletics...this 5k is a great start reenter sports, it is like training. Look how hyped he is? I had to sponsor someone...so you think you have this race in the bag, but until you see the Kamikaze in action. He is in to win it...but that is not what this race is about, it is just for fun, but Jake is heavily motivated and doped up on painkilling drugs! My guys is in, where is yours...or you? In 6 days the May 5k, Tabb's annual 5k, gets off, register here: http://www.active.com/running/yorktown-va/4th-annual-tabb-high-school-may-day-5k-2012...it ends on Thursday, so hurry up. Be as excited as Jake is...it will make him look less odd...i had to sponsor someone...

Yes, this is it.  I know after weeks of 1000 words entries, we cut it short with about 800. It is old school bloggin' today! But...it is still just as good as it has always been, right?...I try, shut it, no shouties today...because we kinda have nothing going on...so you know exactly what I am gong to say "have a good day, see you tomorrow...hopefully, and Rollllll Tiiigg!!"...I am predictable...no, you know what, I hope your day sucks....okay, too mean, have a good one, see you tomorrow, Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The Tabb blog has never actually had a good day itself.

04/21/2012

HEY YA!

How are things going my friends? It is a little bit of a late nite edition of the blog…but it is technically Saturday. We have plenty of results from yesterday, which was a few hours ago, and a few things today and just stuff to get rid of…wait I don’t know where that last one came from…but we got everything you need in tabb sports, like we always do…right? So, I know it is Saturday, but  you can still stop by and check it out for a few seconds and then continue to enjoy the rest of your day…I am busy too, that is why I am writing this at 12:00 am. Without further delay today’s entries!

 SEEING DOUBLE

Both soccer teams ended with the same score and they ending up beating the same team.  It was like replay or they were connected or something like twins stuff or something. I swear, I think the same game went on except one of them the team was replaced by girls  and the other boys. Both teams beat Bruton 8-0, which is, yes, a mercy rule. Panthers are more like Popcorn, no offense…I guess he is not a kitten, but still small. But yeah same team same score. For the boys the scorers were Major Maw with 4, C. Quesenbury once, Fitch got one, J. Quesenbury got a shot in (there are tow Q’s!!), and General Jansen got a goal. Assists were done by Sargent Sutton twice, General Jansen twice, Han, Maw, Hollowell, and Nicely all got one…and that is how the boys beat Bruton. The girls did with Bri Jasenak scoring twice, once assisted by Megan Richards, Megan Richards got a goal of her own, so did Magic Macy, the F-Bomb exploded twice, and Sydney Omweg got a goal in assisted, and that is 8…right? Nope, Bruton actually scored in their own goal, that hurts, but at least the mercy rule in affect after, so the game ended…right? But good job tabb soccer, you are always keeping tabb alive in the spring! I know the next girl’s game is in a week and after a 4-game week, they need a break, I assume the boys are the same, so enjoy a little break…but study too…ap exams should be coming up…

NOT SO DOUBLE

I swear I did not think York was still good at baseball…or any other base sports…but they did not loss as much as I thought they did…which is a little of an uh-oh…okay it is an uh-oh or was…it was not like the Grafton game, but just about. York beat us 15-0…yeah…I do not know what really went on either…but…yeah…that is all I can really say. York has had a pretty sucky year, just give ‘em one…but one that is 15-0…that is being a little too nice. Okay, so our goal is still making the district tournament. I am sure something went on or something, our boys will be back…you’ll see…no really! Softball is not as bad, but still not an win either and this loss was in the double digits too…but barely and the team scored, so was it that bad…well not super horrible! York won 10 to 3…and we have some stats from this game. Kayla St. John went 2-4 with a double and RBI. In this sense the softball game did turn out better than the baseball game. Do these teams have a little break too? I don’t know, just saying…our base sports are not over, they are coming back before you know it. I swear by it, forget York and Grafton those teams are well stacked. There are plenty of teams that we can beat and make our annual return to the district tournament…in which baseball won last year. We could repeat! No expected it last year and probably don’t this year…but stick around, everything will fall into place. Good job baseball and softball.

LACROSSE

Lacrosse are always posted late or maybe it is because I am writing, so early, but no lacrosse results yet…but there are games you can go to today. Both teams are playing, one is close the other far…road trip! Girls play Chesapeake at tabb elementary, which is probably the closet a lacrosse has been  to us in awhile, c’mon Yorktown middle is far! Chesa-what? I have never heard of them either, but I have heard of tabb girls lacrosse, so is who I am siding with. The boys play warhill…but at Atlee, which I  am pretty sure is outside of Richmond…which does not make much sense…but they are doing it. Usually when you bring someone further away, it is from murder purposes, well will killing them…on the field that is. It is out there…so let’s make this trip worth while! I try with my lacrosse coverge, but if you just go to a game you will get it better. Today for girls at 1 and boys at 4:30…you maybe able to see both..or be late for one, but both are free. Good luck team.. be there or be lame!

EMPEROR

  ST.J

It is weird we have our almighty beard emperor and he still has his mustache…and it is an impressive one. The emperor himself forgot to shave it off. He was fond of it ever so. He still has the beard, but he goes his mustache a little more. The emperor has decided to extend his reign, not only does he rule all beards that come in and out of tabb high school, but mustaches too. No longer is there a need for Mustache March, they will be accepted and celebrated all year long. This is a big day in tabb facial hair history, there will be no more segregation, as long as you have something on your face that is hair you are good. The Beard Emperor hopes this decision will increase the amount of facial at tabb as well, this year has been a little lackluster. The mustache is good all year aound, as well, as beard, mutton chops, side burn, chin straps, soul patch…wait soul patch is too far…but any facial hair is good facial hair as said by our ruler of the beards!

This is it. I am done…tomorrow will not be early, but late…but it will be up sometime tomorrow. As of now I have said it all, so enjoy your day and keep it all good, it is a Saturday, it was made for relaxing, so do so and return on the Sabbath (tomorrow). Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The tabb blog has been posted at least in every hour of the day.
