THE END
Not of this blog...not yet...but it is the last day of March, which means tomorrow we are all shaving tomorrow. Like the close of the stache? I know it looks pretty nice...but it is too much. It is a bit gross...I got new ID yesterday and I can't show it around places that care for children. For some reason mustahces/facial hair just makes me look creepy! That is why I call upon you guys to grow some for me. My super stache did work this year...or just made people feel uncomfortable. You can still grow your facial hair...there is All Beard April, Mutton Chop May, Fow-Man-Chu June, Jolly Santa Beard July, Absolute Beard August, ...and hell every month has a facial hair growing them...maye all of this does not matter as much as I thought. The Mustache March has been decent for the most...maybe not as much coverage as last year...I think it was for the good of the people. Enough talking about mustaches...this is getting weird...how about we just talk about sports for once...here we go!
IT WAS CLOSE
Tabb does know how to win in baseball now...but that does not mean they know how to blow-out a team. It was a very close match yesterday...and you can tell by my writing that...we kinda did not win this one...but it was a close one. The game ended up being 6 to 4, Lafayette. It was only two runs, it is like that York game (which was by 1), no win, but our team shows promise...maybe not for this season...but in the future. It is difficult to be dominate when half your team cannot even drive yet! There were still some worthy performances that took place yesterday afternoon, I have never heard of this guy, but it was our top man yesterday...who cares if his last name is a little goofy. Ferebee went 2-4 with a triple and 2 RBIs and the Piped Phifer went 2-3 with 2 runs. That was the game. Again, it is not horrible! Tabb is still in mix, we are a wildcard, we always play well...you never what we can do to your team. There is no break for baseball yet, today at 12 and 2, Baseball takes on Woodside first and then Phoebus at York...I think it is like a tournament thing? These are non-bay rivers games, so we will see how Tabb favors...maybe we will have more luck. Good luck today and good job from yesterday...and I kinda have nothing more to say....so batter up?
GOAAALRY
Like glory...except with goal...when you say it, you sound kinda Asian. There were enough goals in girls soccer last night again York. I told you a loss would not take place again. York was like the team's rehab. They had to recover from Tuesday's poor performance and after last night, believe me, they did! The game ended up being 9 to 1, which enforced the mercy rule. There were goals galore here, the first being from Bri Jasenak, the second from Erin Fenton which was assisted by Jazz, Megan Richards got the third assisted by Fenton, Sydney Omweg got the forth from a header by Jazz, who also scored again for the fifth in a break away, Lexi Williams put in the sixth goal, Allison Crow put in the seventh, Bri got another with the 8th which was a cross over left foot assisted by Leanna Baez which was announced as a hat trick, and the ninth the credit is given to the Hecker, Kelsey Hecker. I know it was a load! Tabb girls soccer is not laying over dying just yet. This is the comeback story of the week, at the beginning they were down and at the end of the week they are back up. Unfortunately, you cannot see them dominate again until after break which will be the 10th of April against Woodside. Just celebrate the win for like a win for now. Good job girls. What a great way to enter break.
The guys too on York as well except they were at home and did not get a mercy rule. It was a closer win, but Tabb still got it. The final score was 2 to 1. After a dismantling loss at the beginning of the week, Tabb came back at the end, just like the girls! Tabb soccer is the sport to watch out for. This battle was hard fought, but Admiral Adam's training shined when the pressure kicked in. Hima nd Sutton lead the troops in the direction they needed to be in, which was a winning one. The goals were made by Jansen and Maw. Maw has been quite impressive so far this season. He always ends up being a factor in games...for this the guys in charge decided to move him up in the ranks. Now we have an Admiral, a Sargent, and a new Major, Major Maw...which sounds like something really bummy...but is not! With this new addition in command I see no blow-outs in our future. This win will take us so many places....but we are just going have to until after spring break. I special get well goes to Glory Kim, a York player...I do not know the story, but everyone has been saying that...it is good to see our team giving support to others when they need it. Good job guys at both ends of the field. Have a good beak and come back ready to win.
LACROSSE!
Tabb lacrosse has been doing good all season, both sexes, but it was the boys who played last night...they definitely knocked the king off his thrown. Tabb beat Menchville 21 to 0. How about I just say it for everyone...holy shit! It is okay, when you come past 20 points in scoring in a non football or basketball sport, you are allowed one curse word. I thought it was impressive when it was 19-0, y'know it could be like a lucky game, but to repeat that and get in the 20s is outstanding. This proves it, Tabb is all about boys soccer. What other lacrosse team has put up as much points? Or just team in general? Is Menchville that bad? Where is the mercy rule? Some many questions arrive from this...but instead of staying on those...just congrats to the whole team! With a score of 21-0...I am sure that everyone got a goal in...or at least two! This is why you need to go to lacrosse games! What other school sports beat a team that badly? This year lacrosse just keeps on moving up and up in recognition. Who knows what they accomplish yet? We will not see any lacrosse action, boys or girls, until the end of the break...but what a great way to enter break, 21-0...we da best!
GOOD NEWS/ BAD NEWS
Actually, I do always start with the bad news first...well if you have not noticed there is no softball score on here...it was never posted anywhere...but it is strange. It was at the same time and place as baseball and we have that score! To make it up I will say softball won 6 to 1 with a triple by St. John, double by Burnette, and a run by Murray. Hopefully, one day we will find out if my predictions are ever right. The bad news really does correspond well with the good. The top athletic schools in Virginia list was released and Tabb is tied with Christiansburg for 2nd! That is why I do not understand why we do not have the softball score, we are #2 in the state! I told you winter was a successful season and much thank to field hockey, as always. There is one problem...Grafton is #1...they have had a good year all around, football, bball, etc....so we need a good season closer to win the top spot. Soccer, base sports,....c'mon consider lacrosse a sport already!! Remember that sometimes you may lose, but we are still the #2 AA most athletic school in the state...but also do not screw it up!! Grafton will not win another thing over us! I am pretty all our sports need regconition. Tabb is still the best and hopefully we can be the best of 'em all! I guess good job to all sports this year!
Goodness, this is long again! I need to end this already. Let me give a shoutie saying good job to all teams who played yesterday and this year making us #2 in the state, good luck to baseball, so long to all mustaches, thank you to all you who participated, I hope you are having a good break, and I will be here tomorrow with some results...and something special...just wait...there is that then I am on break...from this blog! Have good one, come back...if you are not on vacation yet...and...ah...I guess...bye! Roll Tig!
Peace be with you.
