QUITE FRIDAY

It is the end already...it has come so soon...it is not the end of all time...but just the end of the week...which, I don't know about you, but I am pretty happy about that...it sucked...but tonight is a night off...it is a 3-day weekend, concerning sport...well actually 4, but who is counting? It is not a real 4 day weekend! Anyhow, I got some good and bad today...all of which will make everyone happy it is the weekend...so with out further procrastinating I give you today's tabb blog entry, brought to you by: the weekend: too intense for weekdays!

PLAN B?

I feel that is what girls basketball is going by now. An unexpected mishap took place last at Smithfield...first, I thought this game was home? Did I write home? No one messed up right...if you did at least you did not have to drive far away...is that a good apology formy mistake...oh, like anyone shared the correct info! Anyhow, there a disturbance in the force...the tabb force...which is 500 times stronger than the regular force. Somehow, Smithfield discovered the strength, determination, agility, and spirit to beat Tabb. It is all nice they finally learned how to believe in themselves and win...but at all games...why this one? Couldn't it have been like Jamestown?! No one thought our girls would come out of this game defeated...it is not the end of the season. Girls basketball is just a fan of the theatrics. It is physcological, make Grafton think they are better, get the top seed, and then beat them in a rematch for the district tournament title. We are just performing some mind games here. Also, it was Smithfield's senior night...it was a nice gesture...Tabb is not dead...by far. Ever have an off night...ever read this blog when I write it at night?...yeah... the score was only 41 to 28 ... a little than we would like...but not a blow-out or...well the scorers were F-bomb blew 4, Pulverizing Piazza had 10, Mahan the Machine got 6, In-Cain shot 2, Merciful McFarlane put up 4, and Joker Joseph got double. The regular did not end on the highest not...but the district tournament will...which is Monday (no 4-day weekend) against Lafayette or Warhill at 7 at home...despite the loss, nothing has changed about our girls...trust me! So...be there or be lame!

306950_2362135326624_1047555374_2748058_1312246686_n
It took a long time...alot of mental concentration....much planning....some start overs (or do overs?)...and a little bit of stress....but finally the math has been calculated and the results are glorious...there will be a Krista Meyers reunion...not...with the blog...but with her old family, the tabb field hockey family. As the picture reads: epic. How is this going down? It is no math miracle really.... I don't know...like field hockey always does some type of Disney field hockey tournament or showcase, so that is in Florida and so Krista, so they put two and two together and back again is Krista with the people she belongs with (no offense Florida State). Disney just got even better...not only Krista Meyers...but Tabb field hockey...it is not  going to be the most wonderful place on Earth...but more like the universe! I guess the magic does exist...Disney kinda sucks to be honest...too many lines...but it won't suck this weekend...or however long the reunion is going on. I hope the reunion goes well...and maybe...I do not know...spring breakish...blog reunion?...feelin' it Krista? I mean...look at what this blog has become...I just write about stuff I know nothing about...because I have nothing else to write about...so...see ya on top of space mountain...

RESULTS SO FAR

This concerns Shaq Rodney's nickname...we have had so many votes so far...believe it or not...and a final nickname has not been chosen, we can eliminate a few from the list. First, obviously the Rod, is not helping anyone...I made that up the day before the competition. Then Shaq the Mack is looking to have the same fate. It is cool, many Baggettball player have rhyming nicknames, but Shaq's other nickname options are just better sounding, therefore terminating Shaq the Mack from the list. Now Sha-Rod is not done with yet...but is in a weak position. I do not think it is that bad...as a name that's origin is two names together...it could be worse...most people just think I am talking about a couple.  Mr. MVP still reigns...but could be past it's prime...it came from Shaq's Player of the Year title last year...which he might not achieve again this year...though at Tabb we all believe he should no matter what. It maybe living in the past...still a reminder of how sweet he is. Then the Postman....which is basically a different wording of the nickname: the Mailman...which I think is Karl Malone...but Karl does not play anymore...so it does not really matter...maybe Karl will be flattered and come to a game...that'd be awesome! But yeah...that is how the nicknames are looking...chose between Sha-Rod, Mr. MVP, the Postman...or I guess just Shaq.

We are done for the day...we did not have much...but tomorrow will be worse...but still good. I can make something out of nothing...stayed tuned...so much is on the way...winter is far from over...I would not say far...but we still have a few miles to go...the trip is not ending yet...so hang on spring! Let me give a shoutie saying good job girls basketball, nice reunion Krista and all, any new nickname ideas...anyone?, and I have nothing left but to say have a good one and come back...seriously...help a brother out once and awhile too...as you can see I am far from knowing everything....not a few miles! I am hitch hiking sometimes...pick me up sometime, it'd be nice! So... good bye! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

Mr. Baggett can run a 90 second mile.

NOT QUITE FRIDAY

But it is almost Friday...or just about it...I know it is not the same, but just try to look at it that way. I realized I missed the Puppy Bowl this year. The Super Bowl is alright, but you should see those labs' moves. How they are not called out of bonce is beyond me and give it to thek German Shepard for some terrific defense. This material is like a couple days old...but you know what is not a couple days old...today's results! I did not see these...except physically in person :(  ...I will be back in a month...almost...anyhow, here is new stuff...that has nothing to do with puppies!

LAST NIGHT

Baggettball did it again...W-O-N! All day, everyday, any day, name a day! Tabb dominated particularly the entire game...but Smithfield did ry to come back. In the 4th the Packers packed on over 20 points! Periods before they did not even achieve 10...impressive on their part...but still it was not enough to win...a little unfortunate...maybe says something about our back-up players...but who cares...still Baggettball and Tabb got the win 55 to 48. Our scorers were Today's Ryan Sawyer had 7, Lil' Baggett shot 4, Big Wille got 2, Machete Mitchell put up 5, The Postman made 13 deliveries, All-Around Brown got 2, Saint Schiele made 14 (career high...maybe?, and Joe the Show Nelson contributed with 8. All and all it was a good game, for the most part, a win, and from what I heard it was a good senior night...it was senior night...right?...I mean I missed the girls'...but I think I got ;it right this time. What now? The regular season is finished officially, nothing is left...except the district tournament, which Tabb got the 4th seed in, should've beaten Lafyette twice, so we get to play the 5th seed: New Kent on Tuesday and it is a home game. New Kent was pretty simple last time we played, so I think we got this...but then after this game we face the winner of the 8 seed and 1 seed match up...#1 is Grafton...rematch? I feel like this has been done on purpose...so there is that possibility...but New Kent first! Trojans never used much armor, welcome to 2012 and Tabb, you are going to need some! Tuesday at 7 at Tabb, the post starts, where will you be? Somewhere else is...lame...of course! Good job guys and all senior extra on that!

TONIGHT

The boys have just played Smithfield...but who has not? Girls basketball! It is like the same sport...except different gender, rules a bit different, and they are on top of the district...but are sharing that currently...but we are trying to change that. Tabb just needs to play...which in Tabbnese means win...sorry to bring out the secret language again...but with this team, it is what they do when they play. They beat Smithfield once already...so I am not too worried about tonight. I hear their playing has been a little sloppy, but they had just came off a hard loss last game, they got everything settled now. The Bay Rivers is theirs...and if we keep winning, same with Grafton, I think Tabb will still get the 1 seed. It was really complicated it will be determined, but due to both us beating each other once, having the exact same record, it comes down to like preseason polls or something...so I take back what I have said in the past...preseason counts! I read nothing concerning a tiebreaker...just read Marty's article if you are as confused as I, http://weblogs.dailypress.com/sports/highschool/bayriversblog/2012/02/bay_rivers_district_tournament_3.html  Also, we would play Lafayette or Warhill...but that is not until next week...tonight, again, is Smithfield. Tabb will be packin' something too...points. That is a no brainer...I mean Pulverizing Piazza, Mahan the Machine, Joker Joseph, Trick Mackey, Striker Stratton, the Hoodlum, the Buldozer, In-cain, and there are so many. Last game of the regular season and sure has been one memborable one. One of the greatest, if not the greatest, girls seasons in Tabb history...it is far from over...but the regular season is tonight. Let's end like we always do...win. Good luck tonight girls...and to all remember tonight at 7 at Tabb this game is going on...be there or be lame...or be from Smithfield, it is a long drive...more Tabbies the better anyway!

YOU CHOSE

I am having quite the fan interactive opportunities this week...on Monday I wrote how you can become the blogger for a day...seriously someone get on that! Did you know how big of a deal that is?! No, really...shut up! But this is different...I just need help with something...basketball season is not over at all...and or best well known player is, of course, Shaq Rodney. I give everyone nicknames, sometimes more than one, but Shaq has the most. I feel we need to pick on by the end of this season...or even before districts on Tuesdays. It was one thing for a guy to have a couple of nicknames...but like 6 or 7...too many...it is my own fault...they all sounded good...so vote on your fav. The nicknames are the following...

  • Sha-Rod
  • Shaq the Mack
  • Mr. MVP
  • the Postman
  • the Rod

I like them all...the Rod I feel we can let go...but the others are good. As I think about it, his full name is Shaquille, so Shaq is a nickname to begin with!! I do not know what to do. Also, Shaq is graduating in June, so we should send him to college with a worthy nickname. So pick your favorite...or else he will become the Man of 1000 Names!!...crap! That is another nickname! I can't stop!!

I can stop writing and here I go...this it for today. The weekend is in sight...and things have not too spectacular for me...spectacular is too big of a word anyway...just the best, anyway...there is always next week. Popcorn should be visiting soon...I think...he told me he has to catch up on his sleep...so I will be waiting for awhile. But wait for me tomorrow and my new entry...because I shall have one. Good luck girls, good job guys, smooth move Popcorn, no new nicknames for awhile, and everyone keep it real. See ya! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

Mr. Baggett does not get strike by lighting, lighting gets struck by Baggett.

MID

Thanks Neil! Yo, it is Steel Neil Rissling!...from the Tabb wrestling team! They have been doin' pretty good...and with a name like his, he must be good too! You can probably see Neil at regionals in a week or so...well actually I don't know...crap! That doesn't sound good...I mean I am sure he is there...I have no actualn knowledge of...but he is Steel Neil!...Did I save it? Okay, I am thinking I should just stop digging this big hole and start this entry. It is going to be good also...so here we go...

DID YOU KNOW?

The Tabb girls basketball team won again...did you hear? Probably not so much, outside of Tabb, because HR Varsity did a story on Grafton and how they are keepin' their spot. But so is Tabb! Seriously, both games were identical in points, but Grafton gets the coverage. Tabb was here first! I know dude...the liberal media, totally! Tabb never really gets the respect it deserves in the first place, so nothing really new here. Also, coverage is not that important...field hockey won 4-straight without it! Anyhow, how about this game...it was almost a 4th loss, a beginning of a losing streak...but both have never happened. It is a comeback story and in the 4th quarter, so he best kind...except for the other team. It is Warhill, you are good at football, stick to one thing! Tabb came back to win 41 to 31. They made it easier than it looked...or something like that. The scorers were the F-bomb blew up 7 times, Pulverizing Piazza had 11, Mahan the Machine put up 9, Trick Mackey had 2, Swingin' Swenson got4, Hoodlum Holder contributed with 2, and Joker Joseph end up with 6. It was a comeback win, but they are still on top...like they were before and will stay. Only one regular season game left...and it is Smithfield. The first time was a win, so I see that again...even if it was a comeback win. Tabb can win in any fashion! The race is on for who will lose first...Tabb or Grafton....the #1 seed is in jeopardy...remember who did everything first, Tabb...wait...the first shall be last and last shall be first...wait crap...no! All I know is Tabb will win...ball is in your court Grafton...no literally.

TONIGHT

It is boys basketball...and it is not just any other game...it is the last game of the regular season...but do not freit...they are making it to the post! Also, tonight is senior night...and we have some big names when it comes to their class. Also, it is a home game...who knows where Tabb has to travel in the post...so the next home game may be a while...so everyone should go. It is hump day, I don't know what else you are suppose to do on this day...I could do an inapproprite joke here...instead I will list off the seniors for tonight...

  • Shaq 'Sha-Rod' 'the Mack' 'Mr. MVP' 'The Postman' Rodney
  • Pete 'Big' Willie
  • 'Today's' Ryan Sawyer
  • Will 'the Thrill' 'Number 3' 'Lil'' Baggett
  • 'Hottie' Nati Fessehaie
  • Drew 'the' Buffkin
  • Joe 'the Show' 'Mr. Defense' 'Joe-nella' Nelson

That should be everyone...at least everyone that I know of....see there are big names and alot of 'em! Tabb boys basketball know what they are doin' and should not forget when playing Smithfield. You are going to hit up civilization tonight Packers...instead of being in the middle of nowhere...I do not know where I am going with that...I am not just being meaner than usual or stating the obvious, you guys be the judge. The point is the game is against Smithfield tonight at 7 at home, it is senior night, the last game of the season, on a day where bad jokes are easy to make, so instead of performing a blue routine, see an orange one tonight. By this time next week, who knows where we will be...the blog will still be here, everything else: aaaah? I told you all the info you need already....so one more thing needs to be done...you gotta go...you know what is coming next: be there or be lame!

GREAT SUCCESS

401745_1814289412272_1691178395_936708_378669167_n
Commander Curren has returned...I don't know...maybe 2 weeks...but in that short time he has accomplished a tremendous amount. First, in battle he has been brilliant. Our fan section was the only thing that beat Grafton those two nights...and an undefeated streak has been occurring. Nick has been preparing lunch for his troops, providing rides, cutting hair, tutoring, and when these two needed help in the science fair, Commander Curren did not back down one bit. He helped turn a mediocre project into an honorable mention one...which brought $100 with it...so he is helping people get money as well...to some that maybe his greatest accomplishment. That project was on sugar and tooth decay...a simple idea became an award winner!  Sidenote: too much candy = bad.  Since his return all has been right in the Tabb community. I am more than happy he is here for the post season...I just know our Orange Army will find success. Now I think we pass him around each team, so all our sport teams will find success and not lose.  It is unfortunate he is a senior, but he has 5 months to make everything right at Tabb...and hope it stays that way when he leaves...his impact will at least be felt..

Guess what? Are we done? Or Finished? Yes, so soon...but I got class buddy! I can't write forever..one day...all blog all day...24 hours...we'll see if I have enough material...or stamina...I do not even know what that means...I am just writing, so I will at least do something useful with it...good job girls, good luck Baggettball, great achievement Commander, anyone find usb on it with some strange stuff yet?, Pop did you miss me?...I really gotta go to class...have a nice one...see ya when I do...Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

Mr. Baggett can bench press infinity.

THIS BLOWS!

Like my personal week...nothing bad in Tabb sports! I accidentally left my usb in the computer lab yesterday and when I came back for it yesterday, it was gone! There is a lost and found with usbs, but none are mine. I have everything saved on it on different computers...but there is alotta stuff on that usb regardless. Whoever has it is going to learn alot about me! Yo, it is personal...I hope I get it back. Then I did not get hired for 2 jobs in the same week...there could have been some space there! Things have not been the best here at GMU...I am thinkin' about coming back to Tabb...again! Keep an eye out for your new classmate...yeah I am stuck here...but here is something that does not blow...Tabb Sports!!

Indoor track did not blow yesterday...they did pretty good...but they always do. If they did blow it is in the sense they were blowing everyone away! And I do have some results...thank you milestat! There is alotta of 'em, but I am posting everything...just the top ones....sorry, I do not want this to be the Indoor Track Blog. Plus, I do notr quite know what I am writing anyhow! I am tryin'...let's start...In the 55 meter dash Micah Hanks came in 2nd with a time of 7.46 and Melissa Progar came in 8th with a time of 7.74. In the 300 Brittni King came in first with a time of 41.16 and Micah Hanks came in second with a time of 41.76 and Taylor Omweg came in 10th with a time of 45.50. Tabb dominated the 300...just like 300...like Spartans...maybe...okay onward to the 500, which Tabb did good again! Brittni King came in first with a time of 1:18.81, Taylor Omweg came in second with a time of 1:19.08, and Aly Harmatz came in sixth with a time of 1:23.26.  In the 1000 Leigh Ann Soitsmann came in 6th with a time of 3:16.51. In the 1600 Sydney Van Ness came in 9th with a time of 6:00.74. In the 3200 Kara Enoch finish 6th with a time of 12:46.21.  Tabb finished first in the 4X200 and 4x400 and second by 4x800...and now i have to go on to the boys?! I* just wrote all of this...okay, next time I will write the boys stats instead of the girls...sorry I gotta keep the blog rollin'...am I just being kinda lazy...shut up! I have more things to get to and class...and yeah, boo ya! The 4x400 got state time and first in the district...this group included Blake Finkenauer, Nick Curren, Trent Moon, and Dave Camarillo. That is probably the biggest results...everything else is just all Finkenauer and Camarillo and a little bit of Howe...that is pretty much it. I ddi not even write down the shot put or hurdles scores...I do not understand what they mean..so do not feel left out, I cannot be on this subject forever, we are almost at 500 words! Go here: http://va.milesplit.com/meets/104297/results/187363  and maybe I will have full boys results up tomorrow...we'll see...why are there so much results anyway?!!

Have I figured out where today's girls basketball game is yet...Hr Varsity says away...yeah, there are not many cases where bot the girls and boys play away the same team...but the wrestling thing messed things up, there is a week's difference, it is Warhill (whatever that means!)...far away...but there are not many games left...I mean with the regular season's concern. It is only Tuesday...what else is there to do tonight...besides all those pizza deals? Nothing else is going on...no other sports are playing...so why not just see the girls player. Our main objective here is: winning...which the girls basketball team has been plenty of this year...only 3 games did not end up that way...and I do  not see Warhill adding a 4th....maybe a 15th...is it 15 wins?...well it is going to be soon enough. Anyhow, tabb girls basketball is at Warhill, so what's up? You know who knows what is up, oh people like...Pulverizing Piazza, Mahan the Machine, Trick Mackey, the Joker, the Hoodlum, the Bulldozer....still too many 'the' names?....It could be worse...I don't know...like no nicknames! Man, I am in an pretty disgruntled mood I guess...well tonight at 7 at Warhill come see the real team in charge of the district...first team to win matters most...take that Grafton...tie or die...be there or be lame.

The Bay Rivers blog announced it the district player of the year...but that is not really official...therefore I guess I can start naming district players of the year as well. I do blog about the bay rivers...sure one team...but I won't be biased...what do you think? When it comes to some girls hoops I gotta say district player of the year would be...

  • Tabb girls basketball - hey, we did not need one player...we have like 14...or how ever many are on the team...c'mon no one saw us doing this well this year...give the tabb team credit...like everyone on it!

Hmm...now we are on to the boys...as we refer it as...Baggettball...no I am not naming the entire team...or Baggett..actually not even Shaq, this maybe out of left field (for some), but I gotta go with...

  • Nati Fessehaie and Drew Buffkin - they are the two most beloved player and barely play...I do not know they get the fanfare, but it is impressive. I know it is not a popularity contest...but let's make it one...these guys deserve to be honored

What other sports do we have...swimming...indoor track...wrestling...it is hard to pick there...um...okay well wrestling it is between

  • Richard Harrell and Junio - Harrell has always done good and was like the only wrestler to win at districts...and Junio is...well...Junio!

Um...in swimming...on doubt

  • Tom Malone - because he is awesome and is also going to states anyway so...yeah...and for girls...ah...I don't know...Beradini...bears are awesome

Oh, and indoor track

  • Micah Hanks and Brittni King - both these names show up everywhere in track...look at the results above...and guys: Finkenauer and Camarillo...same reasoning

So...yeah..these are the district players for the winter season. I just know the real BRD voters will see it the same way...and how cool will it be when all the district players of the year in every sport are from Tabb! I cannot wait for the announcement now either!

Yeah man it is over now...1000 words good enough...I gotta eat and stuff, class, and other stuff...so I am gone...but good job indoor track...no harsh feelings toward all your results...there are alot...come on...wait until tomorrow...good luck girls basketball, good job all district players of the year...I am sure it will turn out that way, and usb stealer I will find you!...and I guess everyone have a good one...and yesterday I missed corn dog day...so here is to a better day..especially for me...or anyone else who had a sucky one too. Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

Mr. Baggett pops basketball like they are balloons.

02/06/2012

DID YOU SEE THAT?!!

Well, do I even need to say what I am referring too? That Super Bowl was pretty sweet! Great game! It is official now, the only thing that can truly stop the patriots are the giants! This game may have almost been better than the first. It was down to the wire, man! The commercials were not too horrible either…at least I don’t think so. I do like the Redskins…but I will give it to the giants. New York is a beautiful state…second to Virginia…also Maine…and if South Carolina got rid of some trash, them too! But yeah, another pretty awesome Super Bowl! This year unfortunately I do not have any teachers from the winning team’s area…so class is not going to be cancelled. Maybe you will get more lucky at Tabb…wait isn’t the day after the Super Bowl a holiday? Yeah, everyone has to go to work don’t they? Thanks Obama…or do we scapegoat Goodell?

TODAY

This is an actual event going on today. This happens rarely, usually games begin on Tuesdays, so you know we just do not jump into things. We just got off the weekend, but we still need a break. This event is just for indoor track. I did not mean ‘just’…but it is not like a game, more like a competiton…there is a difference! I mean in indoor (too many in’s!) track it is mostly justy relays – competing against one another…but in other games like basketball, there are rules, points, the clock stops…well mosty of that happens…I think people kinda know what I mean. There is a difference…not saying it is not as important as the other! I am just going to shut it…but this is there is last even of the regular season…and there have only been 3…so plus districts, regionals, and states indoor track only have 7 events. They could get their season done in a week! This does not happen much…so try to make it…oh, by the way the meet starts at 10. My schedule only says 10, so I am assuming it is not at PM. I know, it is an indoor track thing, go figure! Who knows maybe skipping school to watch the indoor track team is excusable…okay no ideas! Come see what all this Fikenauer is about or what is the Soitsmann? …yeah those were bad…honestly I just use names from cross country and regular track whenever I talked about running sports. I am sure the same do it a lot…come see for yourself. Today at 10 at the Boo…somebody make it. Good luck indoor track…add even more to states!

TOMORROW?

I did not add the question mark to wonder what was going on tomorrow…I mean….i know…I just do not know where. The boys basketball were suppose…or written in my schedule, to play at home against Warhill, but we had the wrestle fest (great name…should’ve used it), so that was a type or something. Usually if the guys play one team at home, then the girls play them away…so is it the other way around? There is so much I do not know by being 2 ½ hours away!!  However, it is going on and it is Warhill! Our girls just need to keep on winning and the district can be ours….even if Grafton keeps winning, it will be a tie, which is not so bad…but I think a tiebreaker will be set…just worry about the present. I do not think winning will be that difficult for a challenge for our girls, they have only loss 3 times…and only once to Grafton. They know what they are doing. I do not know about Warhill much, but who cares…I do not where the game is even at…so just go and see how it is…though you do not know where it is. Asking Pulverizing Piazza or Trick Mackey or the Machine or the F-bomb or the the Joker or, do I have too many ‘the’ games, anyone on the girls hoops team. I see the girls going back to their ol’ ways…which is good in this case. I do know the game will be at 7 and will be tomorrow…so I hope that much helps ya out! Hopefully by the time I write this tomorrow I will have more…so come back and see..you can if you loss a lot on yesterday’s game…do you dare…wherever it is…be there or be lame!

POPCORN’S PICKS

D769ef4e50d8__1313623737000
He lingers in the dark...but we all know who it is. Last year’s Popcorn’s Super Bowl was way closer. He still picked correctly, the winner, but the score was a bit high…but he is still doing good. Popcorn has been so much better this school. It pisses me off too! Why does a cat have to be so good at everything…and along with that, he lives the life too. I wish I could do nothing all day and be as flexible and lick myself…okay too much information! You know what…I am just going to go to the picks already!

Grafton 59    York 41

Warhill 47    Jamestown 46

Bruton 64    New Kent 54

Lafayette 58   Poquoson 54

Tabb 100  Smithfield 0

They do look pretty good…I say that every week…but he still does always pick very accurately, so I am kinda right….but maybe this week will be different…as much as I know about this entry…I am mostly wrong…I don’t care anymore…whatev! Do what you want you dumb cat!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Joe Nelson – for committing to VMI

Richard Harrell - for winning districts under his weight class

Shaq Rodney - for scoring 23 points against Grafton and holding their star player to like 3 points

Girls basketball - because I forgot about your senior night

Did I miss someone? Let it be known!

LATE...OR LATER??

766c505bd730__1328462902000
I just like to look at it as later...I had a looonngg day yesterday. It was Mason's Homecoming! C'mon now! Here is a picture from the game...oh snap! There is George Mason himself! The bball team beat ODU 54-50...yes, it was a sloppy game...but good ending and that is all that matters for a homecoming game! When the game ended the players walked out through the student section and I was sitting on the ended and got to high-five each one! I almost got to touch Ryan Pearson's beard! I am never washing my hand again! GMU is in a three way tie for the top spot of the CAA - with Drexel...and VCU!! We play VCU on Valentine's Day...so we will give them a very nice broken heart! Tailgate was great, the game was, the after party, man, George Mason...wait this is the Tabb sports blog...not the mason one! I got a little far ahead of myself...but that was my day yesterday...so let us look at how Tabb's day was...

WRESTLEMANIA BRD STYLE

I am sure that there are many results from this two day event...but I only have the top story...the main event...the spotlight. You know what I mean...but before we get there, let me go through the team results. Tabb ended in 5th place with 134 points. It is not the best...but not the worst...in the middle is just the right place to be. Honestly, the tourney did not turn out the best for us at Tabb and it was in our house! There were 4 Tabb wrestlers in the finals...and only one won (those two words sounded too familiar!! Sorry to confuse anyone!) Hallowin' Harrell got a pin in 55 seconds...unfortunately Boyd and Hicks were not able to get pinned, but got pinned. Then something unspeakable happened...unforgivable, Hall from Jamestown...beat Junio! In an almost 6 minute match Junio was taken down...hey Tabb will not forget this! We'll get you back Jamestown! Also, there were Consolation matches...which means...ah...does someone want to help me out on that one?  Anyhow, they are lik other matches...okay I'll look up the word...okay means comfort after being getting a loss...so this like an everyone wins match...right? We only had two players in this event Sterolizing Starner and Hunkin' Hawes...Starner won a got won in 4-0, but Hawes didn't get the pin...but still did good. Everyone did good...though we did not have many wins...but everyone in the finals and the consolation and a few others qualified for regionals in late Febuary. Of course, Tabbmania was better...but Wrestlemania was alright...I do not think have much to be upset about...except Junio! Watch out! Good job all wrestlers!

SCHEDULE

This is like the last week of winter sports...like regular sports season. Next week the magic starts, the district tournament then the regional then the state then spring!! There is not much games going on, but these are the last ones at home for awhile...maybe...it depends where our teams are ranked whether or not we will have any home games..it is so-so for our teams. Just help celebrate the last week of winter (sports wize).

MONDAY: Indoor track against Bruton at 10

TUESDAY: Girls hoops AT/vs. Warhill at 7

WEDNESDAY: Baggettball vs. Smithfield at 7

THURSDAY: Girls bball AT Smithfield at 7

FRIDAY: NOTHING!! 3-day weekend...sports wize again...

Okay, it is usual week kinda...one game a day...but no Friday. Yo, it is a party weekend!! It is in honor of the winter sports...we had a pretty decent season...better than the fall...so enjoy the last week of me knowing when games are going on.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

We are talking about wrestling for the majority of the day...so with that we have a very special announcement we have been saving all week. There was someone who may have seen yesterday because he was not wrestling. A wrestler put in his resignation papers early. He went out on top and there is nothing better than that. Help me and honor the career and accomplishments of the man we all call King Kong Everhart.

284637_2054154306643_1028125548_2312665_4879581_n
Yeah he is peacing out. The season went well...maybe not as well as he planned...but he thought it would work out alot better by just retiring. We all remember his career highlights from that double back flip once, the pulverizer, making others numb, and most forfeits in the BRD history and the youngest wrestler to ever to win states and not even qualify to be there. He and us will have plenty of memories to recall from...and I am sure a hall of fame call soon enough. James, that was his real, will be enjoying retirement on the beach, playing rugby, doing yoga, breeding pugs, and training for the Olympics, which he does not have an invitation for...but did not stop him before! Best of luck to you, King Kong...you will always be the king of the jungle known as Tabb.

Um...are we done...um...yes...I have other stuff to do...hey it is a holiday and tomorrow is too...right? No class? Anyone?...Big game tonight...and oh, okay as we did last year we will have Popcorn predict the score

8717ae8fc3d1__1279827979000

New York 27   New England 24

There is always a 3 point difference! I like to the Giants...Patriots win too much and I do not know how much of that is honest...the only Patriots I like are the George Mason Patriots1 Tonight is the battle of the New...yeah that is dumb...no wonder nobody uses it! So yeah that is tonight I know everyone or most will be watching. Look out for the Tabb Blog commercial!....Believe me...just wait and see...have a good one, good job wrestling, best wishes James, GMU is sweet, and that is all I got. See ya tomorrow. Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

Anything that has Mr. Baggett in it is super.

I DON'T KNOW

I have no idea why I am writing…well I always do…have I ever let you guys down?...but today is a big day…it is George Mason’s homecoming! I am busy up yazoo all day…so I really got to get this out of da way…see I did not even bother to write the…too much words…although I used alotta words to explain it! But, yeah do not lang behind, we are having diddle daddling, this will be fast paced sports blog…or as fast as I think I can go. Anyhow…what else is up?...Wait, I don’t care…no small talk! Entry starts NOW!!

WHO DAT?!!

That is for speeding purposes, it just what people say at sport games…imparticulary the Saints…I am using in a way to ask who is Warhill? I have never heard of ‘em? Have you? I don’t know, Tabb just blew out a team 80 to 64 last night. Oh…that was Warhill! I guess it does not really matter it is! Tabb beat ‘em…so let us proceed onward. This was a great comeback from the last game…it was not even close…if only Grafton and Warhill could trade places…no like the movie…more like Freaky Friday…souls switch…wait would that make Grafton bad…or the same…I haven’t seen it in a long time…by the way Shelley Long version for the win! Anyhow, Baggettball was Baggettball…the way it had always been…except still no flat tops. Who knows they may become Player of the Month for Febuary also. Also going back to the game, the scorers were:  Today’s Ryan Sawyer with 16, Will the Thrill had 7,Machete Mitchell put up 15, Sha-Rod did work with 17, Professor X got 5,All-Around Brown got a uno, Yancey had a deuce and, Schiele put up cinco. We are going international!! Not really…who can’t count to five in Spanish? It twas a good night…and too bad it was away…it was away…right? Anyhow, great job baggettball…keep up the good work….and what? One more regular season game left? Let’s end this in style…winning style!

STUFF I HONESTLY DO NOT HAVE MUCH ON

I am not doing this just do I can save time and go party it up! I really do not have much on either sport…but I will plunch in the best I can. There was a swim meet…and I have results on it…but I can share some lick of good news…Tabb boys are going to states! They must have swam pretty decently. I have no info on the girls…but the guys = states …I mean I am sure a few girls will be there too. That new is official, we already have a few track people who qualified for states…so it is a sign, that spring is coming soon…kinda. I am not ready to see these sports go either, but the weather is another story! No worries, we still have much time left…but yes boys swimming is in states. In Chritainsburg. How are w e getting there?....By swimming, duh! Just go up the Jamees….right? Good job guys…I am not surprised…with having the likes of Tom Malone, it is just one of those expected things. Anyone who knows anything more share, please. I hope my girls did just as well too. Tabb is going to own this state through the water ways!

Then there is wrestling…I do not have much because the event is still going on. It is a two day thing. The results have not been finialized. No spotlights have been brought out yet! That is not until tonight…and that stuff is pretty intense. Just come to watch that at least! The toiurney (I did not know why I keep on calling it that!) is going on all day. No seriously….alllllll day! I was there last year pretty the entire day. Has anyone gone yet? See anything interesting? Good matches? New Kent’s blond hair…yeah that does not have any  undertones! I am sure no one else has any homecoming concerns to attend to, so attend this. There is so much wrestling it is like mania…now I get the name!  Everyone will be there, Derek the Dingo, Hallowin’ Harrell, Steel Neil, Bruiser Boyd, Thorn Rose, Awesome Aren, who-KNEE-Oh!, and everyone else will be on the mat…maybe even Roper…then we are all in trouble! It is not bowling, but there will be enough pins alright! All day today, cheer on Tabb wrestling, and see who will be the next on to regionals. …and big news tomorrow…you have to wait….but it is big…unfortunate…but worthy…you gotta comeback…plus results…hopefully!

I will be honest, I am still trying to grip this girl’s  loss from the other  night. I know we should move on, I said that myself….but all I am saying is…something seems fishy…and no that is not a reference to Grafton being the Clippers. I am just saying, Tabb beat Grafton first to begin with and then went on to lose only one district game…while Grafton wnet on to do the same except with us it was two district losses. This state ranking list comes out last week and oddly has Grafton ranked higher…and then they win. Do I smell conspiracy? Yes…or I am just making one up….I think the state rankers are in on this. They chose who is going to win and make it happen. Them being ahead of us did not make sense then…and they suddenly beat us! I think it happened on purpose…someone out there….VHSL? is the system corrupt..or just my blog?! I bet the #1 ranked team wins the state title too….i know something is going on. It is something about the state of Virginia. Hey, there are worse conspiracy theories….but in the good: Marty wrote if the tie remains, Tabb will most likely get the top spot…so we win in the end! Take that rankers!!

Guess we where are now? The end!  I gotta get stuff done! Doin' work! Good luck wrestlers, good job baggettball and swimmers boys...and girls, good luck George Mason...check your TV schedule GMU vs. ODU homecoming game...if you see a guy dressed as George Mason...guess who? What else was I going to do withthe colonial wig at this school? Watch that keep it real...I gotta have some fun...do the same...be back tomorrow...probably later...party up! If not, just have a nice day anyway! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

Mr. Baggett does not need a beard to be manly.

NOT THE BEST...AGAIN...

I never would say that I talk too much. I am just super amped for Tabb sports! In my mind they win every game! I have said a lot of things about other teams, but that is because they are not Tabb...and never will be...wait let me think...no, never will be! I do not think my writing style in unconventional...or maybe it is...but it is not changing. Everyone should be excited and proud of this school. Sometimes it does not turn out the best...but this why we have the Tabb sports blog...we never admit defeat! And do not worry Popcorn predicted there to be a prolonged winter sports season anyway!

UNCOMMON

It was a very uncommon occurance last night. Something that only happened twice this season and only once at home and barely by this team...happened...Grafton beat us at the girls basketball. I am still doing the math trying to figure out how they accomplished this! It is almost immpossible. Also, this may have been our girls' first blow-out of the season...is a 10 points difference a blow-out? It is just more than usual...but our team played as hard as they always do. The final score was 47 to 57...it is hard to believe that Tabb does not have the 57! Unlike last time when Graton pulled ahead...they kept that lead...but 10 points still is not that much. Our scorers were Firin' Fenton with 12, Pulverizing Piazza had 18, Mahan the Machine shot 8, Swingin' Swenson put up 2, Merciful Macfarlane got 5, and Joker Joseph 2...and it turns out Diana is not fully back as I thought she was...but she helped mentally. Anyhow, there is some good news that came from this game...Tabb and Grafton are tied for first place in the district....so whoever losses first does not get the district title. Tabb won like months and months in a row...so my advice is to just move on from this game and keep focus on the others...which we are all know you can win...you won before. Like I said do not admit defeat...we'll see Grafton again...and they will retreat...I do not know I was just going for the rhyme there...but it is not big deal. At the end of the day they are still Grafton...so yeah...Tabb girls basketball shall prevail!! It would kinda hard to swallow, but we can even share the district title...no matter how horrible that sounds...we are just going to keep winning like always. There is only like one week left in the season...so like 2 games...this team can win those. This game was just that one tough chapter to read in the book....like the really long one, but once you get past it you get the good parts and realize how the good the book was...like how good this team is...stick with us...Tabb can still win it all. Good job girls...you know what they say: losses, they happen!

TONIGHT?

I don't know about tonight...the schedule I got from the Tabb athletics page says that Tabb is AT Warhill tonight...but HR Varsity says that Warhill is AT Tabb...so what we do know is that we play Warhill tonight....somewhere. Last game was a tough loss and what better way to bounce back from that then playing Warhill. I cannot remember how they are this season...but I am saying confidence booster...or a not as tough game...which is good. There is no tie for this title...but Tabb can get 3rd...4th...but I am  really hoping for the 3rd...3's the charm! There is this game and one game next week...and then the postseason, so time is running out and there is still a possibility of getting back to states again...you know I am always optimistic when it comes to Tabb sports. And who can't be? We got Mr. MVP, Mr. Defense, Will the Thrill, Machete Mitchell, Saint Schiele, Today's Ryan Sawyer, Big Willie, Hottie Nati, Buffkin, and the list goes on and on...also Baggett, so....need I say more....and it is Warhill...do I need to say even more...okay, I do not know where the game is located...but as I think about it, it makes sense that it is AT Warhill....the Bay Rivers wrestling tournament  is at Tabb tonight...so HR Varsity is correct...never doubt the website! It truly does know all. But tonight is we are playing at a state of the art court...have you ever been to Warhill...it is nice...maybe it is better than being at home...and isn't the school near the outlets? So shop, watch a Tabb win...it is all good! The games are running out...I don't know if Tabb will get home field advantage in two weeks, so see the games while you can...tonight at 7 at Warhill...I don't think at Tabb...I am not bad mouthing HR Varsity...what do you think happened to the York Blogger!! Tonight, be there or lame!

TABBMANIA PART II?

I do not think we can call this tournament Tabbmania again...but it is like the entire Bay Rivers' Wrestlemania...everyone gets a shot...it just happens to be at our home...like last year. We won the bid again, we have a like millienium-contact...the tourney always be at Tabb. Have a problem then just trying to pin a guy from Tabb...I do not see that happening much. Steel Neil, Derek the Dingo, Hollowin' Harell, Bruiser Boyd, Sterolizing Starner, Thorn Rose, King Kong Everhart, and who-KNEE-Oh! That is more than enough...and we even have more guys to wrestle. Everyone gets a shot...and it all comes down to the spotlight...yep, it is the big time this weekend! It is a two-night event! Starting tonight at 5:30-11:00 and tomorrow...like all day...no seriously, last year it lasted like 18 hours...be prepared...bring snacks and pillows. This tournament will show who will be at regionals and then states...it is only for the winners!...which is Tabb! If you have never seen a wrestling event yet, do yourself a favor. I say it is more entertaining than pro wrestling. It gets intense...it must be the realness of it. Belts would be cool, but medals are more legit. See every school hit the mat this weekend...and see New Kent's bleached hair...because all guys will bleach hair are cool...Tabb will have something to compete...mullets!!...that's my idea, at least! Today and tomorrow at Tabb, be there or be lame!

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

389485_253349458056393_100001440220167_720144_1756957058_n
I can never find team pictures, but I did find one of Baggettball...except the year is like '88...I do not think it is 90s...but yo, check out those flat tops! Nice! Baggett looks the same to me...is Brad Williams on the other end?...Check out the nice court...and that tiger painting has been up that long?! This news is not for this team...but the Tabb Baggettball team this year. I know it is called player of the month...but the team deserves it. They fully changed themselves. In January they learned how to win. It was a rough start at the beginning, but Tabb is a competitor again. There were times where we did not think we would even see the postseason...but in a month or over a little they became the traditional sport will known as Baggettball. They made winter even more worthwhile...I cannot wait to see what more is left for this team...and some player please...get a flat top!

Yes, we are done for the day. It is Friday, what more do you want? Homecoming Weekend for me...but I'll have time to post...i should...watch out ODU! Good job girls basketball, good luck baggettball and wrestling, someone wear a flat top...please!, big wrestling announcement this weekend, ...and...oh, on a serious note, R.I.P. Paula Radner, I am kinda late on this news, but Paula was a secretary for a decade at Tabb, 1997-2007 and unfortunately passed away over a week ago.  She will be missed  not only by the Tabb family...but by all.     Everyone have a good one and see ya around! Gone! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

Mr. Baggett can bend air.

RESULTS ARE IN!

100_0002

From what I can deceiver from this photo Popcorn saw his shadow!! Winter sports will be going on longer! That means post-season here we come!! Look frighten Popcorn looks...I bet that means some state titles too! That is Popcorn Day for ya! ...Phil saw his shadow too?....Man, talk about a real copy cat!

....Girls bball tonight at 7 at Tabb!

NOT THE BEST

There is much news today that is not the best...first...it is February 2nd, so you know what that means...it is Popcorn Day! If Popcorn goes out and sees his shadow then winter sports go on longer than usual, if not then spring sports are going to be here sooner...it might be a lose-win situation...but those are the rules from the mythical basis. Popcorn is not harmed  in anyway, so do not worry about anything animal rights activists...but go search into that Groundhog thing...I don't know. Popcorn just wants the day for himself...though he already stole it...that is cats for ya! So did he see his shadow...with me being out of town I have to wait for the news to be sent to me...check by this afternoon to learn the fate of winter/spring sports.

EPIC

That is what the game was last night. I do not remember the last time a Tabb-Grafton ended up so close. Tabb did make the waters rough, but the clipper had a back-up engine and made it past us. It was a newer model. However, the Orange Army did claim a free victims, but in the end the ship as a whole survived. People have learned from the Titanic, so things like that w0n't happen again...except on cruise ships. But on to the actual game on the court...it was an insane event. There numerous lead changes and ties...5 of which happened in the fourth quarter. We also stopped that tall skinny...but forgot  about some other guy who is pretty good on the team as well. I believe the game came down to the last shot, which was a 3 pointer...by Grafton...which mean the district title is theirs...I accidentally wrote ours first, seeing how rare this is! It is not as disappointing as you think, Grafton only won 59 to 62. Remember the first game?...It was no way like this! Grafton said they respected the Tabb program very much...remember respect outweighs awards and titles any day! Our scorers last night were Today's Ryan Sawyer with 13, Lil' Baggett had 6, Machete Mitchell put up 4, Shaq Rodney had a season high (?) of 23, Yancey put up 2, Stilts Schiele got 7, and Joe the Show Nelson contributed with 4. They almost won with all that...but, hey man, one shot! One shot kid! No one should be ashamed, the season is not over, Tabb has improved greatly, who knows we may see Grafton again in a post tournament and then the boat will sink all the way...it already has enough damages! Good job to all...at least yesterday was not Groundhog Day or you'd be living that game over and over again!

TONIGHT

Is Groundhog Day and we...or just I...hope Grafton lives this game over and over again...I am in high confidence of their loss. It is ridiculous...Tabb girls basketball beat them once already, but still did not get ranked higher. No one in the Bay Rivers truly believes in our girls. They still get no respect?! Hey, who has lost only district game...not Grafton...if you are still guessing, it is T-A-Double B! Tonight we need put the nail in the coffin. This ship is going down to Davey Jones' locker tonight! And...don't worry I hired a really good undertaker. I mean sprinkling ashes across the ocean is beautiful, you are lucky to go that way Grafton. Who is the undertaker...Tabb girls basketball...like who did not see that coming?! These girls do good work...did you see the ceremonies for York? Bruton? Warhill? Lafayette? And countless others? They know what they are doing...this is not their first funeral. I knwo it is sad grafton, but with players like Pulverizing Piazza, Mahan the Machine, Trick Mackey, Joker Joseph, Striker Stratton, the Hoodlum, Merciful Macfarlane, and pretty much the whole team, it is hard for them not to destroy everything in their path. They do not know their full ability sometimes. Tabb girls basketball winning is a part of life, you have to accept. Good things will happen after. Your win is in a better place now...so I guess black-out! tonight...this is a funeral. All the naysayers will quite sounding like horses and finally say yay! Tonight at Tabb, they did it once (like the Giants!) and can do it again! 7 at Tabb....be there or be lame.

MY B

So I find pictures like this and realize...I missed senior night!! Senior night is always the last home game of the season, which is tonight, but apparently it was the Bruton game. I guess it was because of this Grafton funeral?...Whatever the reason...I be late...I am sorry...some top of the ball sports blog I am...though I am never quite that much to begin with. They saw better late than never and this did not quite take place a week ago...or maybe it did...but I will still honor the seniors this year, who are

  • Emily 'Pulverizing' Piazza
  • Hannah 'Swingin' Swenson
  • Natalie Joseph 'the Joker'
  • Diana 'Kinetic' Kinney (who is back on the court by the way!)
  • Cassie Sparks 'Fire'

Good job on o all your accomplishments these past years on and off the court and good luck to your future endeavors. I am sorry once again...but you still won on your senior night, which might be better than being on the Tabb sports blog! I miss senior night, I miss Diana's return, I am not doing so well with girls basketball...this is the first thing I ever missed on your sport...and the last! :)   Thanks for the photos Casey, whoever you are...I did steal these.

NOT LATE REALLY

302654_2470690775669_1504353448_2648700_270806065_n
When actual good news happens to Joe you'd think he'd be smiling...but no! By the time we got to him...he was sleeping!! That smile is coming!! In Joe's defense he has been hounded by reportsers all yesterday...though I am the Tabb sports blog...home town writer! I am not late on this, it just broke out yesterday, that Joe Nelson commits to VMI! The Virginia Military Institute: where the boys become he-men! He is going to stand out in Lexington! Mr. Defense, Joe the Show, has a new home after June...and this one is alot more stricter! I cannot wait to see his impact. Although being in a military school probably means, no smiling...so it is just up Joe's alley! A big congrats to him and best of luck. I know yesterday was national signing day or something...but this is all I got for Tabb. If there is anyone else...let me know...but Joe is our man today...and soon he really will be a man...or Keydet...or a kangaroo? The zips? ...I don't know...it sounds dumb....have fun with Joe...no Mason? You could be a star...on our club team!!

Nothing left for today...except stop by later to see if Popcorn saw his shadow or not...winter sports prolonged or spring sports sooner? It is important news! Anyhow, still fantastic job Baggettball, good luck girls, sorry about senior night, congrats Joe, forget you Phil...Popcorn is where it is at,...i had alotta stuff today, so tomorrow we will announce January's player of the month...until then keep it real my homies! I hope it is a good day...i have an interview in less than a hour...wish me luck...no!! I forgot to wear the earmuffs!! Wish me extra luck!! See you tomorrow...or this afternoon...Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

Mr. Baggett scares everyone's shadow.
