MIDDLE

It is the middle of the week already! Weeks be going by so fast! I guess that warm weather is gone too...even notice I always mention the weather? It is good filler...okay I won't bring it up...it is, how it is! You know what is?....winter sports! They started off with a bang and ended in the same fashion...well I think...well everything ended up good! Like I said this is Tabb's winter wonderland! Without any further adue here comes the results....like a bang!

LAST NIGHT

Girls basketball really did make Jamestown live up to the name Lametown, beating 45 to 29! They had nowhere to go...their wings got caught in our net....it is is wrong to catch American Eagles, however, these are just eagles...so animal control won't care...or we won't tell 'em! They should've been turkeys. When it comes to scoring this is how it reads Fenton (the F-bomb has join the girls bball team!) had 4, 'Pulverizing' Piazza 8, Mahan the Machine had 16, 'Trick' Mackey had 2, 'Merciful'  Macfarlane had 10, 'Joker' Joseph had 4, and Drury the Drowser (she so good she puts people to sleep) had 1. All that equals 45 and a win...the first one of the season...and it is the first game....soooo I would call that a good start! Next time let's try and get 5 more points so we can get half of 100...or just go for 100 all together! Good job girls! Who missed the game last night?...Well, you are in luck, tomorrow they have another game, it's away, but not too far away. We face another bird team, you guessed it York...who always has a statement to make...or at least they try to! They are the falcons...but nothing like the millennium one....okay that was lame! Don't you be lame, try to make this game tomorrow at 7 at York. I cannot say if it will be a good game...but there will have good bleachers at least!

I DON'T HAVE

the swimming results...I cannot find them anywhere...does swimming have their own site... their results are usually delayed in results anyway...so if things work out they usually do then I should have them in like a couple of days...I hope. This usually a type of situation where I just make up the results...but I don't know swimming enough to do so. There is the backstroke? IP something? Is the doggy paddle one? 1800? Swimming is kinda like track underwater...and I am not that good at track either....so...ah...let's just say that everyone got under 90 seconds in every category...and diving...wait do we have a diving team?...How do you score that? ...Okay...okay...I am going nowhere with this...so to end this I will do it the same way as I did yesterday....Falcons can't swim, but Tigers can...so by those standards...you figure out who won the meet! It seems like an easy answer to me.....well...I'll do better making stuff up next time...come back in a couple days...we'll have the real results!

TONIGHT!

That ! is important! This just isn't any other game...this just isn't any other sport...it is Baggettball! It is back! The winter season is officially here! Everything that really does matter starts tonight! But it is not at home...and not at school close by...but we play another bird team. It is like Bird Week here! Well, girls played Jamestown yesterday...so who do you think the boys are playing tonight?! Look how badly the girls beat them...I think the boys can do repeat of last night. And how can we not? This is Baggettball. Person have been trying to figure out how to play it for years now! Still no one has anything! It is not science, it is Baggett! It something if you don't get it you never will! Baggettball is in full effect tonight! From masters of the game such as Joe 'the Show' Nelson, Will 'the Thrill' Baggett, Dan 'the Man' Schiele, Mr. MVP-still-Sha-Rod-The Postman-Shaq Rodney! We are going for double MVP titles this year...I don't know about him...but this blog is! There'll is much more from old faces to new faces...but it all still Baggettball no matter who is on the team! Tonight at 7 at Jamestown boys basketball begins for this season! We all know it is going to be good...so go see it...who doesn't like to see a win? So be there or be lame. I have never been to Jamestown, but I am sure they have nicer bleachers too!

When I wrote the first entry of this blog, the very first, I said there was going a weekly sports joke of the week...well...it only appeared in that first entry. There are only a few sports jokes out there. During the season I am actually busy with actual news. I do not have time to search for jokes...but then I met Diana...

Yo, Kinney is a jokemaster. Look how goofy she looks in this picture! She has a bunch....and they make me laugh...so here she is! Every Wednesday is Diana's Day. The jokes are not so much sports related...but again they make me giggle...so first joke of this experiment:

Get it?! I thought it was good! Yep, so get ready to slap your knee on Wednesdays because if you thought this one was good wait until we get to the dirty ones...it works with my alliteration theme...but that is coming next season! We are starting off light.

BEARD EMPEROR!!

He is fading away even more! By tomorrow the Beard Emperor could be gone! His reign is suppose to expand beyond November, but it seems this year it is not looking so. This is our final chance, today, to keep the Beard Emperor in power and help him believe facial hair still exists at Tabb. What can you do? Don't shave! Add miracle grow to your beard, you gotta grow it out! To shave the Emperor in this condition we need more than just the average beards. Send in your pictures of your face hair to show the Beard Emperor, you still believe in his cause. But we only have one day...by the way it is looking we have less than 24 hours to keep the Emperor "alive". So do what you can, please! We just introduced him, he just started his reign...that we know of, why do we have to say goodbye soooo soon! I do not know who can replace this beard! Keep hope alive, grow that hair! Hang in there Beard Emperor!

Okay, here we are and this is it! Shouties wishing the boys good luck, a snare roll for Diana, grow those beards for the Emperor, good job swimming...however you did, good job girls, and bring it on bird teams, Tabb flies too...except higher! LET'S BEGIN!

Finally the winter starts today! It all begins at 6:00....well if we count JV then it will at 5:30. We will have actual results up by tomorrow....so all you readers come back already! The blog has a purpose again! It is a big day, the new season premieres tonight and already has rave reviews! I hear it cannot be missed! I am so happy for games to be back...I was running out of field hockey material! So good stuff...and I think winter heard my plea...it was like 70 yesterday and feeling so bad today...I know awesome! Forget snow, I am happy where the weather is at. White Christmases are overrated! Anyhow, we got actual stuff going on, let's get to it already!

FIRST

The first sport to actually play with swimming. Yes, they open up the 2011-2012 winter season, believe it or not! God thing the weather is what it is in Virginia...or else the water would be frozen! Th top competitor today, not just in swimming, is Jamestown. Once Tabb is done them they are going to be Lametown for now on! Like it is going to be official in the winter! They will be stravin' for win! Stravin' more than they did in 1609...too soon? They are going to get them wings wet...and that is going mess them up! Tabb no longer has greats such as Matty Ice, Fins Florer, or even Kate the Great...but the Bear, Bowles the Blob, Stimble Kimball (related to Kamikaze Kimball...so she will surely make a splash!), and we'll find out/remember more names after today! So swimming actually gets the honor of opening up the season...so how about people actually make their event?! Yes, it is not at home...or in York County...but in Hampton...but not the scary part!! The pool at Hampton University is the location. So hit up the HU to see Tabb start the winter and see which sport will making waves on the competition...yeah that doesn't make sense...but you get it...6 pm, HU, Tabb swimming, be there or be lame! Audience does not need to know how to swim.

SECOND

I guess if you count the girls basketball jv team, they start the season for Tabb 30 minutes before swimming. On the varsity status swimming has it, but overall tabb jv owns it. I am not here to talk about them...I do not even know who the heck is on that team? Best of luck though! We big time here...which means varsity! Girls basketball plays Lametown (we are just going with that all season!) as well. The biggest absence from the team will be the Can...but we still got Pulverizing Piazza, Mahan the Machine, Joseph the Joker (that was her nickname, right?), Merciful Macfarlane (that is a new nickname!), Kinnetic Kinney (but she is injured) and a few more that I cannot recall...but will remember after tonight! Guess what? This is a home game!! The first home game of the season be girls hoops! This is the first of many and who is starting it? Girls basketball! It is enough of an honor to go out and see their game...for once! No seriously! They are just as good as the boys...I mean they were ranked #2...while boys #3...it is a small margin, but still! Come see what the big commotion will be this season...tonight at Tabb at 7, girls basketball is on! Be there or be lame!

TOMORROW

Basketball fever is not over yet (and won't be until March. It is not too serious of a sickness!)! Boys basketball as known as Baggettball starts their season tomorrow...but away...at Lametown (I came up with this name back in August and have not used it as much, but season I am driving it into the ground!)...I feel sorry for them too! #3 is alright...but seems a bit underrated for Baggettball. The team no longer has the likes of Cy the guy, the Keg, Captain Corbett, Jammin' James, Quinlin the Gremlin, and a few others...and not many who are on the team have as good of rhyming names! But they have gained a few guys from last year's JV such as Daniel Schiele! Look how tall that guy is! I can just see him living up to his nickname of saint finally! I predict a second rate Sherwood...2nd rate because no one is as good as the 'wood, but second rate is close enough! Do not forget about Joe the Show, Will the Thrill, and don't we still have the one and only....Shaq! Shaq! Shaq! Shaq!...start the chant now! He'll be scoring plenty this season! Mr. MVP is back! The Postman has some deliveries scheduled for tomorrow up in Jamestown! Do not forget Baggett himself! The man behind the operation! Is this his last season?! Who knows...but Baggettball will be played as it always is....by winning! So tomorrow up in Jamestown at 7 Baggettball is back! If you have missed as much as I have go see it. Once more be there or be lame....town!

MORE GOOD NEWS

but not for us! York did as good as in the fall as Grafton did...or almost...maybe just in football. Their football team lost on Saturday...and they are still ranked in the top 10! Is high school nothing like the BCS? #10...I don't know...that loss should make them drop more! It does not make much sense to me! I just keep hearing good news...about other schools! Tabb's good news happened a week ago with the news of the 4-peat...but after that, besides the Polish Hall of Fame....I do not think we have much! This season we gots to put Grafton and York back in their place...near the bottom....so believe me when I say that tigers do not hibernate during the winter...but Falcons, Clippers, Panthers, Rams, and all other Bay Rivers mascots do...I do not think Clipper can hibernate!

BEARD EMPEROR
Oh no...it has already started! The Beard Emperor is beginning to fade! It is only half of his face...but before long it will be his entire face. His shirt even vanished! By the looks of things he will be gone by the beginning of December...like everyone else! We just got in touch with the Beard Emperor, we cannot have him go so soon! So stop shaving, Thanksgiving dinner was understandable, but now no holidays are on the horizon until like 3 weeks. You need to grow, someones life is on the line! Thomas is gone and Brandon Yauncey cannot do this alone! Throw away any razors you have...it is time to keep growing! Help save the Beard Emperor...and show him that Tabb still knows something about facial hair. I hope it is not too late...

Okay, there you go for today! See I am back to writing a majority of this blog about sports...as it should be! Be sure to make some games tonight. I wish it was longer too....Hey, thanks Diana! When you see a promo from an athlete that plays a winter sport you know…well…winter sports are coming!! We are only days away from actual games happening! No longer will this blog have any news on Polish people, man crushes, or field hockey…well cannot promise on the 3^rd one! But, yes the new season has finally arrived…and yes break is over! We are all back in school…but only for like 2 weeks or so…then Martin is back for a month! I still remember everything that happened…watch out! I am posting this really early, I am driving back Monday morning, it seemed to have less traffic  then doing so on Sunday…I hope I am write…I mean right…get that joke? So this another late nite edition of the blog…where anything can happen! Gotta keep reading! I hope you enjoyed Rick over break, it is that season, carols maybe coming from him…check your doors. I hope you like Diana…because more will becoming from her too…but for the time being, let’s start this already!!

There may have been some typos on the schedule I have…but I think it is right…I think that Saturday game is a make-up…but man when I say said winter was here…I was not kidding! A jam packed week of sports…there is nothing more I can ask for! Weather may not show it, but winter is back! The Tabb gym, Baggett Court, is occupied!

GOOD NEWS /  BAD NEWS

The two took place this break. Which do you want first? Which one is usually the first to be said? I think bad news is…then the good news will cheer us all up! So I warned you…here comes the…

BAD NEWS

One word: Grafton…they had a terrific fall! Their field hockey team may have loss the state championship (who know by who!), but they were still tthere! Their volleyball team did good as always and their football team is still playing! At Tabb we got the 4-peat and then…?? How did they get the best of us?! What’s going on?! Now in the winter their boys AND girls basketball teams are ranked #1! Is this the year of the clipper….which I am pretty sure is not apart of the Chinese calendar…but the Tiger is! This bad news makes declare a winter meltdown! A season upset! Tabb will have this season! Good job in the fall, but the path is slippery now and clippers in water freeze and get stuck! By the end of Feburary, early March the most heard name of the season will be: T-A-Double B!

GOOD NEWS

Well…okay Grafton was #1 in the basketball polls, but do you know who was #2 and #3…us! The Tabb Tigers! Boys are ranked #3 and girls #2…when was the last time the girls were expected to do better than the boys…baggettball! This is good because we have two dominant teams this season! Both are in the top 3! We can’t say that about the fall! The last this has happen was in the spring, but now it is like the spring has come early…not really, it will be super cold! Compared to last season, we will see a lot more Ws! Happy days will be on again! The only thing we can say is…ayyyeee! Winter is going to be a good time! Christmas will be 3 months long…or any other winter holiday you celebrate! You know the basketball polls were written by Marty O’Brien…I know pretty well…maybe I can get him to critique them a bit!

POPCORN’S PICKS

Yeah, he is still around! He ate like a pig this Thanksgiving…wait he always eats like that!! What can we do with Popcorn? Last season he proved he could took down anyone in Popcorn Versus! No one wants to challenge him any longer…so because of his performance from the past year Popcorn is getting promoted in a sense. There are 2 games a week in Baggettball, so instead of just predicting Friday’s games, he will do so for Wednesday’s…or whatever day the games fall on. Call it Popcorn’s Picks Xtra! Now with such a busy schedule we’ll see how he handles it! So are Wednesday’s picks!

 BEARD EMPEROR

They do not call him that for nothing…look at that thing! Fall was a disappoint in facial hair…where was it? What happened Juby? November gave a little promise, many did partciate in the month’s celebration…except James Everhart’s hair did not return! Beard Emperor is somewhat pleased…but honestly at the same time the Emperor is not sure about his reign any longer. He has held the throne for awhile now and the spirit of the facial hair seems to be leaving Tabb. He is not sure about his current state….it maybe time for a new emperor. He is losing his powers. So grow those beards to keep those beards Wednesday and beyond…help us keep the Emperor alive! It is all up to you…and your hair crop…or whatever the slang term for a beard is!

Wellll…this is it…for today! Games be starting tomorrow! Don’t you miss it! We still have things to be thankful and Thanksgiving is over! HAPPY BREAK!

Would people be offended if I said Thanksgiving? Not everyone celebrates it! Yeah, I was going make a turkey, but I have crayons or colored pencils in my house! I could not believe it either! Just because I am in college does not mean I have up coloring! Well, my hand does look kinda look a turkey. I can see it, can you? This is how I get festive...giving you the hand!

So what special thing am I leaving you with over this break? Well our semi-official singer, Josh, is on hiatus...but I realized it is not hard to find a replacement. We got Rick!!!

Rick Ochranek! Wayne Newton Jr. himself! Everyone Dad...but he never punishes anyone! Rick actually performs...like you can actually hire him for an event! He does a show at Tabb every year and graduated '10...so Rick Ochranek is now the official voice of the Tabb Blog. During this break I will leave with the sounds of Rick...who, appropriately, is reinventing the idea of Rick Rolling!

So I am out of town, I'll actually be back on Saturday, but blog wize we are looking at Monday! I need a break! There has been a post here everyday since August 1st! Look it up! How many days is that....too many! So I'll enjoy my time off and I hope you do to! Safe travels! Oh, and if you are in town check out the Poquoson Wendy's! I am tellin' you, it is the perfect way to spend Thanksgiving! There is alot of bad things happening in the world, but the Wendy's drink machine gives me hope! Have a nice break...see you Monday!

NOT BREAK YET!

Yo, I got one more day before I leave. In fact I leave school today….why am I even writing this?...I always have something or try to…what would you do without the Tabb Sports Blog?! I will be in Yorktown by like 3 today, but then will be leaving less than 24 hours later…but at least I’ll be there. There will not be very much reunions, but 2 more weeks and then I have a month off…so wait until then! That will the return! I will be at sports  games again and just in time for Baggettball! I can’t wait…and speaking of Baggetball…

My schedule reads that they have a scrimmage tonight. I think it is still on. The one that was on Saturday was cancelled, but they will have one this Saturday against Gloucester. Girls also play a scrimmage against Gloucester the same day! So more than one “games” are going on! I do not think, however, they play Waslingham tonight. The academy boys will play the Tabb boys. This will be the first action boys basketball has seen this season, so these tigers are hungry. I feel sorry for Waslingham. They are the first victims of the season. You are not suppose to feed the tigers, but by showing up they are doing so. It is only a scrimmage, so nothing really counts, but this is the first sneak peek of how the team will be lookin’ this season…and tomorrow is like a half day for you kids…so what is really going on? Regular Tabb time, 7 and Jv 5:30…and I think it is at Tabb…I’ll look…oh wait, no it is at Waslingham...so few we will this sneak peak, but good things come to those who wait. The first game is 11/30, which is right after break so there is something to look forward to when you return! ...but, yeah, what else is going on tonight? Waslingham is not too far away. Why not go? So I will say it for the second time this season, be there or be lame!

Oh, so Wisniewski is starting up early on his campaign…elections are not until January 12^th. Some guys think they can win anything! Ow, so this is his campaign direction-being all American. Technically, my mom is Canadian, but it does not matter in this day and age. Canadians after a long struggle, like every other ethnicity, have been accepted kindly in our country. I know this promotion is rather offensive. Well, okay let the campaigning begin. I do not know how much campaigning I have to…I mean I am the writer of this thing…I mean I could make it as bias as I want…I mean nothing! I do admire that Wiz loves America because I do as well…but he wrote America in red…just like a commie would! Oh, I found my campaign viewpoint! We both do hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving-whether you celebrate it or not…if not, you are lucky for staying thin!

Hey, this is a picture of the state runner-up Tabb competition cheer team! Do I know who is pictured…well no…Do I have any news besides this picture?...well no…but the point is I have posted pictures of every other championship team, so competition cheer is now not excluded! Now you all can see how these champs look like! I know my coverage was not really there at all, but I never meant it personally. Of course you girls are doing a sport. Sideline cheer…that’s another story…but here are the champions, my friends! They deserve the same recognition all the other teams got…and this is kinda it. Hey, competition cheer has never actually appeared on this blog, so we are progressing…the blog and the team. Congrats once more on your accomplishment…and maybe next year my coverage will be better…if I am still around.

Yes, Adam Parker news two days in a row! Isn’t it wonderful? Actually we have big news on Mr. Parker…that does not involve my crush, so keep on reading! Everyone knows that Penn State has not had the best news lately, but today they can saw they do have something actually positive! Adam Parker was accepted to the Pennsylvania State University, so this is a sign things will get better! Wiz’s NFL playing cousin (Stefan Wisniewski) attended that school and now plays in the NFL and does not have to testify to a grand jury, so good things are coming your way! Congrats Adam!  Best in luck, if you decide to go there…but I know you are waiting on that George Mason application!

It is that time again to end this entry and…well…get to class…and then the road! I will have a little something up tomorrow and then back on Monday! I have writing everyday (how is everyday not a word!...it is one this blog…it is similar to like everything, that is one word!) since  August 1^st. I need a break. I have been setting records…and what am I going to be writing over break? What I am doing. Oh, and my grandparents have no internet…I will try to survive! MY WORD!

The weather in Fairfax in beautiful. It is like in the 70s...and it is late November. Maybe winter heard my call...but I still want your sports to be here. Today....goodness....I don't know if I am going to make it through. I have a few things today...but tomorrow...well never knows. Hey, break is like  days away...what are you expecting from this blog? Do not worry after break sports will be here...so you will be receiving actually information from his blog...not stuff about my cat or the Wiz Kid...okay I will still probably have that stuff still....but in between actually sports news....like it use to be! I just this break to be...good things always come out of break...except school...

THE LAST

This is the last day of Championship Week...even if it has been over a week. These are the last pictures I have from field hockey's 4-peat. They are not the best...because I took 'em...like always I try...but this is it for field hockey...they have been around long enough! It all must end sometime, so, today, with these pictures the field hockey season is over for the blog. We have enjoyed while the best we can...but seriously...we gotta move on...seriously non-field hockey people are getting irritated...so bid farewell. The 4-peat occurred and we could not ask for me. SCRIMMAGE!

Yo, there was a bball scrimmage on Saturday...boys bball...do I have the results....no!...but it s kinda like a game....and there is another on Tuesday! Will I have the score? Probably not...I am leaving on Wednesday, but see games are going on...kinda! If boys hoops has a scrimmage then girls must have one and maybe swimming or wrestling or track...if they even have scrimmages. So in this period of limbo you can catch some boys basketball action! Granted it will not count...and I won't have any results....but like I was saying in the beginning winter is coming and this is a sign! Baggettball is back, technically! This is a sneak peak of what to come this season and if I know anything about Baggettball it always ends up with a W. Baggett is back in sports, just for this season, so we must cherish it. This will be the best season out of the year! Spring better stay back for awhile! Big things are to come. Shaq is already Mr. Pre-MVP (preseason MVP), so come see some high basketball, that does not quite count, but what else is going on? I am going to say we won the benefit game  on Saturday against Mathews and tomorrow at 7 at Tabb, the boys take on Waslingham! These Academy boys will be schooled! It is an Academy, but it's no Hogwarts...jeez, did I just use that reference?...That was dumb, sorry...but not this game...or scrimmage. Magic will still be there...but not by wizards...but the Tabb boys basketball team! So make it because I can't make it...and share the results...oh, I think it is here, first time I will say this season: be there or be lame!

Word! Picture uploading are working! This is Joe Nelson, we all know him. We will see him on the boys basketball team this season, but this is not about boys basketball...this is about Joe. Look at him. Is there something you notice...besides him being a classy dresser. Look at his face...notice anything. No smile. This is not just this picture...but all Joe Nelson pictures. Joe never smiles! Every picture Joe takes...nothing. Yo, Joe you live in York County you cannot be that tough. Who are you foolin'? York County has no streets...no seriously, where is there a sidewalk? I know Joe very well...he is a very nice young man and always happy...but you can never tell by this picture...or any Joe picture. I want the goal of this basketball season, one of the goals, is to make Joe Nelson smile. I swear it has happened before, but there is no documented evidence of this. By March we will have one. Each week in the winter we will see the progression of Joe's lips, from straight to curved upwards! Get your camera. Catch him when he is not looking! This blog is going to break this story, Joe Nelson smiles! Joe maybe a beast on the court or field, but in real life...c'mon...that dude is a giant teddy bear! Come off your cloud, Joe. There is nothing wrong with looking happy...I do it all the time...and I'm awesome! Put on a smile Joe because it is coming! By the end of the season, Joe Nelson is going to smile...or at least smirk.

BEST GIFT EVER

We all know of the crush I developed this fall...on Adam Parker...who can blame me! Look at that smile (Joe take notes!)  When I came home last week I did get to see him...and gave me the best gift ever as gratitude for covering golf this year to including kicking news in football, and including him in the blog all together! I have the prettiest flowers ever picked! I have always said giving men flowers is not weird...flowers are pretty and smell nice...who wouldn't like flowers? I like flowers. This hole scene was like a dream I had once...or close to it. There are many who wish to receive flowers from Adam and I was the lucky one this time...maybe the only time! I have to come home more often! I think Adam did this as almost a farewell gift because he is done with sports for awhile...but this offering made the crush ever stronger. This crush cannot be crushed! I cannot wait until Spring! We will still be the top spot for Adam Parker news...allll yyyyyearrr lllloooongggg! I am glad you are not disturbed by my feelings and acknowledge our relationship, Adam, but I am not going anywhere!...I hope you know that! Adam Parker is still the best athlete at Tabb and no one an beat him...at least in my book. Thanks for the flower, here's looking at you kid!

Yep, this is what I have for today...Joe smiling and Adam Parker being my crush...my goodness we need sports around! I will be here tomorrow...after that...I don't know...we all must enjoy our break! So I love you tabb field hockey, this season was great and I'll have stuff on you again, just give me a month break, Joe you are going to smile punk, love you Adam, somebody check some scrimmages, and more things are on the way...even if no games are. Break is so close I can smell the turkey! Let's get to it already! I hope it is as nice in Yorktown as it is here. SOMETHING DIFFERENT

This blog has been the same for awhile. I mean not much is going on. I have been trying to make something out of nothing. I hate the Week of Nothingness. Seriously, we need games to get here already!! So today this going to be different because we will have no field hockey photos! I am almost done with the ones I have already, so, yeah, we are venturing into different sports. We'll have our last set tomorrow...then I have no idea what I will be writing about. I have a few things t0 write about field hockey...but no visuals. Championship Week ends like tomorrow...and after that...well....let's hope for Thanksgiving break to come even sooner than it is suppose to be....I have no idea what to write about it...I'll find something. See they won't weird...yeah I say it lightly...but v-ball is back for day...or maybe tomorrow too. I owe much to tabb volleyball...I mean how many  games have I been to...yeah..something is coming to make up for that...just wait! Thanks for the pictures! A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT

We have Popcorn on his back before, which is not a bad thing....like it is for most, actually animals lying on their back mean they trust you. It is when they are most vulnerable...so this tell us a good thing about Popcorn! If you recall all the past pictures of Popcorn on his back this one different...he is a bit tinyer. He is one of the few who stuck his New Years Resolution! Popcorn is having less of a weight problem! He is losing those pounds...or grams...he is not an incredible amount of weight...or he'll be dead! But yeah Popcorn should an inspiration to all who are in a similar situation....I know he is a cat...but if a guy who just sleeps all day can shed some pounds than anyone can! He is not the original he once was when he was younger...but no one gets back to their ol' days! So...if you are wondering who this new hanging around this blog is...it is the same Popcorn as it always been...except not as huge figure. Maybe his new resolution will be to stop biting people...we can only hope...maybe the weight is not as impressive...I mean we just gave him last food. Self control is easy when you have hands to open anything! If you wanna lose weight...just think as a cat...though you may lose alot of friends...

8-PEAT!

That is our new goal tabb field hockey. I know right now I am talking people are not even on the team yet...but this is a big goal. A 4-peat is amazing! Tabb field hockey be world famous. We got the record books filled up my fields...but a 4-peat is not quite the record...overall! From like 1989-1995 Cox had a 7-peat! Tabb is well on their way towards, but we are Tabb and better than everyone, so let's say let us just win until we hit an 8-peat...it'll be a new record and Tabb's reign will be universally known...and we get others a chance to win. I say let's keep on winning until we hit an 8-peat...or maybe a 9-peat then burn-out as the legends we are. Yeah, seriously after the 8 or 9-peat we can dissolve the program. Going out on top is the way to go...no one will get to see us fall! So Cox we did good once...but Tabb will top that! Krista Meyers once told me tabb field hockey can do whatever they want. Maybe I am holding the team back...forget 8-peat...yo, 18-peat! We'll never lose!...my last set of pictures are tomorrow...the season is finally ending for the blog to :( .......8-peat at least!

Hey...ah...this is what we...or I have today...like I said I try...but after break winter sports are here! By the way debate came in 2nd at their debate yesterday, that is kinda like a sport, it is recognized by the VHSL...maybe they will get coverage....watch out Mitchell! WHAT A DAY!

Saturday, nothing really is going on today...but it is the weekend, so what a day it is going to be! You are looking at where I keep my crown and wand from the field hockey 4-peat. I taped it to my desk...my roommate thinks it is really strange, but it is lucky and a reward. See I kept mine! Of course I did!  It is a reminder of this great season we just had in the fall. It is still pretty cold outside...so yeah winter is coming sooner than I wished it to. Do I have very much to get to today...no...but I only have 3 more days left to come up with crap...and then I be on break! So bare with these next couple of days posts....they'll be better when the break is over...and when winter games start to play until then...we are stuck on field hockey!

And happy one week anniversary to tabb field hockey! It occurred one week ago...and we are still celebratin'...or at least this blog is! (I can't nothing else!)

There is much to celebrate for our Wiz! Big things are taking place! First, there is non-blog news: Matt Wisniewski was elected president of the student council of James Madison University. I know, JMU is now the official worst school in the state! We did not even campaign on this blog! He is the Wiz and nobody beats him! Many people have lucked into a presidency. In the Tabb Blog Inc. the Wiz Kid now wants to become president of it...but I am the president! Because the Wiz is politically hungry I will give him the challenge (to watch him fall!). In January will be having elections for the new president of Tabb Blog Inc.. It is against me and the Wiz Kid. Start paying attention to the issues because we'll be debating on them. So who do you want in the future of the blog? The guy who pretty much invented...or his jerk best friend with a kinda cool nickname! Martin-Quincy 2012!

POLISH HALL OF FAME

That is the other reason for the celebration, The Wiz finally established the Tabb Blog Polish Hall of Fame. We have the first class...and there are not many Polish around Tabb so might be the only class, but Wizniewski accomplished another goal of his...so congrats to him, I guess! So here Wiz's selections for the Hall.

• Pope John Paul II
• Laura Mack (the only actual Polish athlete on this list)
• Anne Frank
• Blake Finkenauer (it is not Polish, is it? German? Well, they occupied Poland once!)

• Grover (from Seasame Street...think about it...)

This might be stupid, but not like I have much to write about anyway! Let Wiz have his glory! I am sure Polish people enjoy this...and hopefully not offended...blame the Wiz Kid! Congrats to all inductees. Many thought I was joking when I first mentioned this....but sometimes I am that desperate for material...soon enough the Greek Hall of Fame will come...but first the Candian Hall...I need a Hall to be inducted in! But congrats to all who inducted...even John Paul and Anne Frank. This is the Wisniewski's Hall, his name is on this...I'm not Polish...but I lke your sausages!

Stop your fighting and jump for joy! We are taking a break from field hockey photos tomorrow and will be posting pictures from the volleyball banquet!! The Most Dangerous Thing in Short Shorts are back...maybe for a day...but when they are around you never what will happen! I guess I should give shouties to all who have their crowns and wands, Mr. Q thanks for the photos, congrats Wiz, but you got nothing on the Tabb Blog Inc. presidency (got any leftovers from that cake), all inductees of the Polish hall of fame, your day is tomorrow volleyball (I have a gift for you guys too.), and everyone to have a good Saturday. THE TABB BLOG HALL OF FAME FALL 2011 CLASS

 

Yeah, we do one take with Popcorn. It is the most he will stay still for. It may have looked as if he was daying from the still shot, but he is okay...but a very active kitty. If you like he is coming out with a calendar. He wants that calendar with bunnies on it...but I have not explained what that calendar really is to him yet! Anyhow, let us look at this hall of fame class.

Tabb field hockey - I really w ant to avoid inducting entire teams in the Hall, but one cannot resist Tabb field hockey. We all know their stats....and you really cannot single out one player. Everyone does an incredible job from defense to offense to coaching. They did not lose a game this season and outscored ev eryone 158-1. They won the district, region, and states again! Anyone team that can do a 4-peat does not only belong in this Hall of Fame...but alot of other halls!

Andrew Juinio - what can you say? Junio is Junio. Junio is like translation for sweet! In a year football was not doing the most incredible, Junio brought back much hope. Despite have many challenges the J-train kept on running and running and before you know he has over 1000 yards! Tabb has a long tradition of members to that club and welcome Junio kindly. For some reason he only 2nd team All-District...even though he had the 2nd most yards in the BRD. Well, in this hall you are first all the way. Andrew 1000 still activates regularly. Hey, everyone already knows...it is who-KNEE-Oh!

Adam Parker - this not because of my love for him, I mean, without Adam Parker, what would golf be? He was our top guy! I did not know much about the sport and was nervous writing about, but I met with Adam I knew I could be as successful as he was. Adam was the team's top golfer for the entire season. Maybe sometimes he finished higher or lower than others, but he always ended up finishing the highest for tabb. Adam Parker is the first hall of famer who is a golfer. This is very much an honor and there is no one I would bestow this upon than Admiral Adam Parker...call me sometime....

Sydney Galoozis - So me and Popcorn still are not good at Greek...but you know who I am talking about! The Hurricane had a break through season...she made it stormy for any team that the girls played against. I saw her name every time I was looking for stats. There were nights she went on a killing spree other nights where she dug the whole time and other nights where her hand she ended  up with was a bunch of aces. Sydney is quite a versatile player. I see bright future in volleyball for her, I mean she made the whole fame when she was junior, only a few can say that (4 actually!), just likie the Mack! I know I said all tabb volleyball was inducted in the hall...but I think my actions are forgiven...I think...I have a gift.

Competition Cheer - Popcorn did not mention these girls because we found out their accomplishments after we shot the video. Again, one take that is all he will try to stay still for! But yeah I know I kinda had nothing on these girls, but they were still doing good. I am not sure how to cover competition cheer, but it seems like this team does good without blog motivation. They were state runner-ups and that is just as good as winning states...no really! You guys usually do cheers...but now I am here doing one for you!

What up about Finkenauer? Blake made it in the hall last for cross country. It would be inducting the same guy for the same thing. We all know he did good this season and the hall already recognizes that. Inducting teams is different,I mean different people are on them from last year, but great season Blake, still! So this is the class. Congrats to all who made it. The big ceremony will not be until July...no really...anyhow see what a great season gives you? A hall of fame induction...I know it was allll worth it!

I think I have covered most winter sports. I did boys and girls basketball to wrestling to track to swimming. That is it. We are having openers at an aquarium in a flying airplane, under ground, at the mall, and at a spa! What a great start! My time with looking in the future is finished, we can can always ask....

Yeah, he kinda became 4.7 1/2 by the end of the fall...but as you can he is no longer with us. He was accepted early to Oxford. He did not want to look bad, so he used his mind to delete any photos of him on this blog. It worked and he got in...but I still had to have our genius somehow...so he left me his notebook of predictions and witty sayings, so we are good the rest of season. The book says the season looks promising for sports...not weather. It has high expectation for all sports and possible champions by the end....that is what his math says. But then he kinda contradicts himself saying even with his calculations he is not sure really how winter will go. He wrote,

"I always fear the worst. Because fearing anything else just seems counterproductive."

Even though he is gone, his notebook kinda says it all! 4.7...or 4.7 1/2 is still kinda with this...even though  he does not want to be. I hope the winter turns better than anyone thinks...and that it stays in the 60s! have any predictions there 4.7 1/2

What else do I have to deliver...um... Andrew Junio and Grace Wusk are finalist for the  Student Achievement Award, both hall of famers! Hollie MacDonald will play field hockey for Longwood University, also a hall of famer, as well. Is that old news? I got it though. And that is about it today...as always be back...I hope you will be too...because who am I doing all this work for then? Congrats hall of famers and I hope you like Oxford 4.7...1/2. FRIDAY YET?

I was wrong I did not miss out on the sports banquets! They were last night...I just missed out on telling people when they were....but yeah last night. Oh, and if I did not have enough already....I have more field hockey photos! Actually only a few and I was able to find a cross country from last night, so at least we are expanding in sport pics. I do not know what each individual won at each team's banquet, but I know about field hockey's awards! Most of the awards were for these four ladies pictured (but not Mike 'Da Man' Dow and he is also not a lady either); Most Outstanding was Julia Aymonin, MVP was Bri Jasenak, Most Orientated was Lauren Neff, and Best Offensive Player was Grace Wusk. There maybe more, but that is all I know of. You want your team awards to be written or pictures of your team posted...you gotta email me bro!, phillipsma@verizon.net . It was black tie affair last night...or just suit and tie...what do you call these events for women? Heels and dress affairs? I'll have some very dressed up pictures today...and so more from Saturday...still. Anyhow, yeah, Friday is tomorrow then we only have like 2 days, or I have 2 days then break! You kids had like 3 day week last week then a full one then a 2 1/2 day one again, so no complaining! Unfortunately, winter have arrived, it is so cold! I am not too happy. There is still much to look forward to...okay I will get to the pictures already

The last picture is larger because it is one of the few or only pictures that is not field hockey. It is girls cross country...yeah I could not tell you who is in it besides the Q-train and Kinetic Kinney, but we have a little bit of a change today, just a little. There are still more field hockey pictures coming....who said the season is over with? To go back to all the banquets last night, I guess I should day good job to everyone who participated in a fall sport. No matter the record or how much you played everyone made the season worthwhile and did a fantastic. I enjoyed it all very much. Thanks. I hope to see the same in the winter minus the cold weather!

I had to make these picture a wee bit smaller, it came out huge! If too small it is a 2012 calendar I found; Cats in Hats! Immediately, I knew who could qualify to appear...Popcorn Phillips. Actually this very similar to an idea of mine, I call it, Cats wearing Glass: the 2012 calendar. It is so silly. Why does the cat have glasses? He does not need them! It would be filled with acquisitive kitties reading newspapers and books or getting eye exams. This calendar makes it hard to compete. They have cats in hats in hats, like on their head in an actual hat! It has come to my attention that people like cat calendars. Cats wearing Glasses is a good idea, but there are so many scenarios where one needs glasses. I do still plan to cash in on a cat's cuteness, that is why I am announcing the 2012 Popcorn Calendar. He is cat...and cute to some...and I have enough photos of him and he has enough fans also, so it makes sense! I do not get much money (like almost nothing...or sometimes actually nothing!) for this blog, so I do not want to exploit you Popcorn, but I think I am beyond that now! So hav you ever seen pictures of Popcorn and thought he was cute? Well you can own him...in a 12 month calendar for 2012...he maybe wearing glasses in one of the months or even a hat (if I don't get sued)...2012 is coming sooner tha you think, celebrate the year with cat, but not just any cat, the cat has the highest winning perctange than any other mammal. KAMIKAZE

Yeah, I finally found him, Kamikaze Kimball! Remember Jake Kimball? He was apart of the tabb football team, tabb track, and maybe that is about it. Hey, this guy is a legend...and goes to George Mason, so I can track him down. The Divine Wind had a injury this season, so I was not able to be apart of the Mason Club team again this year. However, he is rehabilitating and should have a pretty sweet return in 2012. He remembers all the things he learned at Tabb and applies at George Mason...not just in sports. He likes thrift store shopping and growing a beard, he has grown up, but it still sounds like our Kimball. Plus, Stimble Kimball who does swimming, this is her brother! How gnarly is that? People still say gnarly, shut up! I am syked I finally found him. Although, he is the kamikaze he does blend in nicely in a crowd, we have the biggest student population in the state, so it makes sense. More will come from Jake, I promise. I am on a 'Where are they Now' search at George Mason. We finally got Kimball...the next guy on the list is: Animal Alex Prior. We'll see when he shows up...I mean it took me since August to find Jake...or just remember my camera! If you know an alumni is let bee known, the Tabb blog is after them!

PREVIEW

I think the only sport I have left to look at is swimming. I do not think they will do too bad. Kate the Great is gone...but they still got Bowles the Blob, Stimble Kimball, the Bear, and a few other big names, so it will probably up the same or maye better, I do not know much about swimming. The question is where can we have this season opener at? The place has to have water...but we already used an aquarium. You know some really super nice spas have pools in them. I mean they are not that big, but who does not want to go to a spa. No seriously, I do! I need a pedicure really bad. I can take care of my fingernails, but my toes are a different story....okay too much info! Yeah, people will actually show up if we have at a spa...especially moms...and me! We just need to find a spa that is nice enough that has a pool in it! When we do, watch out for Tabb swimming, not only can they do a back stroke...but will also get a back massage. I think it is a full plan. Man, winter is starting out great, isn't it? Forgot what I said before...wait I will be at school for all these openers, most likely...crap!! Anyhow, Tabb swimming,  watch out, the waters are not safe!

We have come to the part of the blog when I am done writing and have to ge to class. Good job to all athletes in the fall, Kamikaze Kimball, Cat who wear glasses not hats, Tabb swimming, warm weather to come back, and everyone to have a good day! Hall of fame inductees announcement tomorrow...and of course field hockey photos...they will take us into break! More will come, not just field hockey stuff, so stick around and winter sports will start playing before you know it then spring sports will then school is over! It goes that fast! I promise!
