Tabb Tigers Sports

EARLY MORNING

Why? That's when 5ks begin! I was there and I understand about over 300 more were too! There were tabb athletes (try the entire girls soccer team), coaches, faculty, parents, and even just regular joes with no connection with the school. It was a great turn out and a great 5k.

I don't look that bad! I had my hand band, Marines shirt (I'm Marines strong!), and new shoes. All that helped finish at 56:24. I walked the whole thing and at the end was actually categorized in the men 20-29 runners not walkers. I was 8th in that, but if I was put in the walkers I would be 5th. It doesn't matter. It doesn't change my time. I know Coach Brown is reading this, so I have to talk good....but seriously the Tabb May 5k is a fun time. It's not competative. Everyone just does it for fun (I think.) and it was fun, so that's good! I know many well-known Tabb athletes such Blake Fikenhauer and Bri Jasenak finished on top of their age group....I think Jasenak finished like first or second for women overall. It would be good f I had the names of all who finished in the top of their age groups...but that's a lot names! A good job to everyone! Everyone gets a medal of accomplishment on the inside. I have a new goal of 50 minutes for next year. My training paid off, but now I need to continue. I hope you join me. No ONE was in the women 70-over category...next year, c'mon mom, free medal....I'm in trouble! Anyway, despite being up at 7 am on a Saturday  it was a fun time and great way to welcome May! 

THE BALL GAMES

Baseball and softball played at Smithfield yesterday. I have more info on softball than baseball, so let's start with softball for once! Things are taking place again for Tabb softball! The streak is starting up again for them! They won 13 to 4! Kayla St John for  MVP of the BRD. I'm starting the campaign now! Every time this team wins she pitches. She's de facto of the team. They form like Voltron and she's the head....it's just like the Wu! St John also went 4-4, Burnette the beamer went 4-5, Rockin' Rue went 3-5 with a RBI, Joye went 2-4, Mur the Blur with 1-4 with a HR and 4 RBI and all that equals a tabb win! You all thought tabb softball  was hot for like a week and done, but you were wrong! A lesson has been learned, Tabb softball is never of teir game...speaking of which...I neeed to attend one...I'll promise you'll see next week...or the next...or...I'll make it...just keep winning!

I don't have as much info on baseball. They won 17 to 2, so this really made up for the 1-0 win last...they got revenge for a win! I don't know who all scored, but with the score being 17...like the whole team did! Corbett added to his MVP resume' with 7 strikeouts and 2 hits. So another Tabb baseball win...what else is new? The York game is coming up this week, so...revenge for that is coming soon...20 to 2. The team is just going put up double digits for the rest of the season. They;re taking the district back! Stay tuned to see this brigade! Good job to baseball and softball for making the games only last 5 innings! Let's keep it that way!

ONE FOR TWO

I only have the girls results. They are the lucky ones. Boys were only in Poquoson...it wasn't too far...but I only got the gals...sorry! They won! 5 to 4! It was pretty close as you can see. For singls Haase defeated her opponent 6-0. Hogge won 6-0. Hendron won 6-0. Yes 3 Hs winning 6-0, just a coincidence! To break the trend another Hartman won 6-0. For doubles Haase-Hogge (the double H) won together 8-0...and all that was about it. I'll be nice and say the boys won too! It was a 5-4 win, a close match likes that just makes you want make a tennis match!....I'll make one of those matches too! Good job to both...even though I only actually know one score...still good job beating Poquoson...like it was hard!

Today there is a girls lacrosse game this evening 5:30-7:00. What else is there to do on a Saturday evening? They  take on Maury...no there will be no paternity tests at the game! We can take on this team easily...they don't got bourgeois! Stefen Wisniewski was drafted to the Raiders...guess which team is the Wiz Kids's favorite team now? His cousin plays for them and his uncle is a coach as well...so I hate the team even more now...hey this blog could have connection to famous football players...wait no one famous plays for the Raiders! There is still no turn-up of Popcorn! See what marriage does to you...am I right?...Okay I'm gone...I'm tired! Bye!

POPCORN...MISSING!!

He never showed up this morning! We were all waiting! We still can't find him! He is not answering his phone! Cold paws? Not much is none! The wedding is ruined! People woke up at 4 for nothing! I apologize for wasting everyone's time! I have no clue what is going on! We'll never see the window seal kiss! This wedding was suppose to be big! It never occurred...but the other wedding did....and got better ratings for doing so! Noooo the Brits won!! More on Popcorn's fate later...I hope! I hope I find Popcorn before Alexis does!!

PREMATURE

Cancellation yesterdays? I guess it rained a little, but not too much...I don't think anything bad happened...but it's better to be safe than sorry...right? I don't know...girls lacrosse might've played...they never updates on any site! Underrated just like this blog...or are we over? Naw...we're just right! The weather wasn't too bad and did not seem damaging, so games are on today! Yay! But most are away! Boo!!

THE BALL SPORTS

Baseball and softball are going to get some pork, yep Smithfield...unless they were hit bad by the weather...I don't think they were...I think it was mainly bad in North Carolina. Anyway, baseball faces Smithfield or a second time this season. It was a pitching duel last time. Tabb only won by 1..not by one extra point like 5-4, but literally 1, like 1-0! How will it be played today? I have a feeling Corbett will be in the duel again. Rematch? Same pitchers? I would do it. We have not had a game of the week in awhile, so this one will be named: Game of the Week. It's the Single Digit Showdown Part II. Come watch if you have time. All our favs will be there, The Keg, Gallagher, No-Hit Norris, Barbershop, and who can forget Baggett! Seems will a worthy road trip! Good luck guys. That's today at 4 out in the 'field.

Softball takes on Smithfield too. Last time they played the top team in the district. That team showed why they were #1, but I don't think Smithfield is anywhere near the top...seriously are they? Even if they are Smithfield better clear the way Tabb is coming! They had a winning streak before, no matter how short,and are in alignment to have another. Astrology is a hobby of mine. Tabb softball winning is just written. The softball Cy Young, Kayla St John, she is the master of the mound. The secret ingredient to winning is her, but...the other players help too! The beamer, the bomber, Rockin' Rue, Mur the blur...this time is legit! If you want to see magic happen come to Smithfield at 4 to see a show called Tabb Softball!....best of luck girls...I know...we all know you can get that win!

SPORT WITH BALL NOT IN THE NAME

Most sports are ball sports...no laughing!...The other title referenced ball in the name of the event...it's not called Tennisball...it's just tennis...which is going on today! Here at Tabb the storm did not really affect, so I am sure Poquoson is fine! Boys are away again and girls at home...why? That's just how it is...I never know too much anyway...Tab tennis always does descent...not losing everyone, but also not winning either. It's good to be in the middle...not as much complaining. even if in the middle these two teams are far from mediocre. They have insane moves...the slammer, the line crosser, the knock-out, and the head smasher (has only been done once in the past 5 years...very special.). Come see all these moves and more and find out if I just made all this up! Today at 4 at home for girls and at Poquoson for boys. Good luck yous guys...try to attempt the head smasher for me...please!

TOMORROW

Is the tabb May 5k...the day is May, so it works! It's too late to sign up, so sorry you missed out! But for all you who did get a spot the 5k starts at 8am tomorrow. You can pick up your packet at the outside concession stand closeby the tennis court today at 4-8 pm...but I think you can always get it tomorrow morning as well. This is my first 5k. I hope it's fun....and not too tiring..Tabb May 5k tomorrow at 8...be there or be lame!

This is kinda it today...no draft today....once you got Staw that's good enough...just no nickname wize! As for the real draft the Wiz in it...the Wiz Kid's cousin Stefen Wisniewski! The Wisniewskis are very atheltically talented. Many of Matt's uncles have played in the NFL too...all this talent is related this guy...

  I can see where he gets the intensity from! I apologize on behalf of Popcorn. The whole wedding did not concern anyone anyway...like anyone you knew was invited or anyone has actually met Popcorn...would anyone want to se some dumb wedding early in the morning for people that don't know anyway?...trust me I could've kissed the bride a whole better :)...have a good day...I'm gone!

CANCELLED!

As in everything! The boys soccer game, girls soccer game, boys lacrosse practice, most sports practices, and...well as of this moment (3:03 pm) the girls lacrosse has not been called off...yet, but we can only assume there is a high possibility of it joining the crowd! This is going to be quite the storm! It should be a good night in...we all have work we need to get done! I haven't been to much games this week! They've all been away or, now, cancelled! Better luck next week I guess! As for reschedule dates I know boys soccer will pay Jamestown May 16th. As for the girls, not sure, but I am sure I'll receive the news soon! So...what else is there to do today?

NEW RESULTS

Boys lacrosse played First Colonial last night and showed them why they needed to leave the 17th century and come to the 21st! They beat them 19 to 7. Unlike last time it wasn't a close one...or it was and tabb just pulled ahead by alot! That's so much goals I don't even know who all scored, but, hey, sports are teamefforts anyway, so everyone did! This win make tabb undefeated in their conference and no more games are left. What happens to an undefeated team on top of their conference with no games left? The Postseason! Playoffs son! The date is May 9th and the team is Maury! We have a week or so to get ready, but when May 9th gets here the Orange Army shall assemble once more! The last time a Tabb team entered the post-season great things happened! These guys are looking to be Tabb's most successful club ever!

DRAFT

It is a big draft day isn't?...with the NFL?...Oh, I was thinking about them! Are they even having a season? To be honest if the Redskins didn't play this year...I'd be okay with that! We got the Tabb football draft...technically there is no draft...just new faces moving up from JV that look promising. Also, there is no gurantee they'll play next year if they played this year. In honor of the actuallt that is going I'll discuss the hot possible newbies of next fall. I don't know many, but if there was a top pick I would say it would be...

 
Staw!...that's what the kids call him! They made it that nickname up...and I thought I had some bad nicknames! It's suppose to be like star! I don't think this guy needs a nickname. His name is Desmond Love! No offense, but that overpowers Storm Johnson as a name! With a name like that he must get all the ladies. Sounds like a name of an r&b singer! Desmond was apparently the star (as his nickname poorly states) of the JV this year. He's good at running, so good he has a Phd in it. That's right Dr. Love! I can't wait for him to be on varsity. Desmond Love just sounds like he can show me all how to get a date! I'll cut off with the ladies name persona, but I'm sure h has it! Dr. Love is one to look out for! He's writing prescriptions for losses..to the other team! What a great running attack the team will have, Dr. Love, All-Around Jake Brown, who-KNEE-Oh! We have added a new train, no more Q-train, but the Love Train (better nickname?). So for tabb's first pick they chose Desmond Love! As for other selections...well...I don't know that many who were on JV!...It's only Draft Day 1!

GAMES TOMORROW

I am not too sure about...it depends all wet things get today. Baseball and softball will be away at Smithfield. Last time baseball played Smithfield it was a great game. They only won 1-0...great, but maybe a little boring...but with a game that close big things are exspected the second time around! However, it's all the way up, or down, in Smithfield...so not many will see it, but we'll all know about it! People from Tabb are connected like jedis! Softball takes Smithfield as well. Maybe things have not been going they planned, but I have always had faith in them. St. John is aiming towards pitcher of the year. The Cy Young of Softball! Along with her team mates the beamer, the bomber, Murray, and Rue it creates an incredible force not even a pack can destroy! Anothwer streak is coming...just wait! Tennis has a match against Poquoson. Again it all depends on the weather...you know how fast that place floods! The boys are heading towards the bayou while thew girls are staying home. I am not sure how well Poquoson is at tennis and I could have a joke that accompanies this, but I'm sure short on time, so just check out the matches tomorrow at 4. Get your wimbledon on?...baseball an softball is at 4 too.

TABBB ROYAL WEDDING COUNTDOWN: LESS THAN A DAY

 
Okay, so this is like the worst doctored picture ever!...but they're not seeing each other until the big day! Tomorrow they will have a picture together...they do not really believe in pics anyway....tomorrow at 5 in the morning what wedding will you be watching? I know, who would watch a wedding at 5 AM, but so many don't have lives like...most my readers..and me! Popcorn is tying the knot! He is a really big part of the blog...maybe even bigger than the blog itself! All our fans should be watching this! Our coverage starts at 3 by 5 at the SPCA get ready, Popcorn will be married! It'll be the first thing on the blog!...not much is going tomorrow!...this wedding is for real! They are going through it...rumors are Alexis is expecting...questions are....will be puppies or kitties...and isn't Popcorn fixed?...Tomorrow Popcorn's Wedding...be there or be lame!

Today is his last day as the regional manager of Dunder Mifflin paper company Scranton branch. He is moving to Colorado to help his fiance's take care of her parents. A best of luck to you and you will truly be missed...no seriously..how is that show going to work now?!

THE SHOW GOES ON...

As in games...it never rained...maybe for like a 10 minute period, but never anything devastating enough to call off any games...so the good news is I have results and stuff to write about today...but tomorrow I have only 1 game to discuss....this blog may look grim...whatever I have plenty of Popcorn's Wedding info!

BASE TO THE BALL

I don't know...I just thought it was a creative title...but two words put together did occur yesterday. It went on all the way up at New Kent. There they showed why they are 2nd in the district by beating New Kent 5-1! You could call the field the Lyons Den yesterday. Jared was the winning pitcher and went 2-3 with a triple and 1 RBI. No-Hit also had a triple and 1 run, Dupree went 2-4 with 1 RBI, Kegelman had the exact same thing, and Barber opened up shop having runs and a homer in the sixth! All that equals a tiger win for my friends! In other tiger win news I have the Powhatan results. They played a double header it turns out. In the first game Tabb handed Powhatan their first loss. In the second Powhatan handed Tabb their 3rd loss. So the first game was better. No-Hit Norris shined once again. He didn't get another no hitter, but got the win, which is good enough! He also went 3-5 while the Keg went 3-4 with a HR, double, three runs, and two RBIs. In the second game Tabb did not put in any of their top three pitchers and got pound with 14 hits...or for 14 (Marty O'Brien's words not mine!). So let's not discuss the 2nd game....we still 2nd in the district...and we'll possibly see the Native Americans (This blog is becoming PC!...not really!) in regionals...if THEY make it! I have no info on anyone's ERA. I do have a good tip on ERA. Back when I was in high school my grades were never too good, so I always viewed GPA in terms of ERA. 1.7 is a horrible GPA, but I am in the starting line-up! Cy Young nominee even! I was awesome my fake baseball fantasy, but not so in my realistic academic life! My mom didn't buy into my fantasy pitching career either!...But I hope this helps all you failing kids! Anyway, good job baseball!

AS FOR SOFT TO THE BALL

Things were not as good. The streak never was so..there was a make-up game they lost last week against Jamestown or someone like that. So it was never a long winning as I said and yesterday they played the top team in the district, so forming a new streak did not occur. St John's charm did not even work as pitcher, but she went 2-4 and so did Bentley. New Kent showed why they are top of the district with only a single loss by beating us 10 to 2. I still give our girls credit, like always. They played the #1 softball team in the Bay Rivers. It wasn't looking good to begin with! No excuses some may say, but sometimes are just good and there is nothing you can do. In the BRD there is New Kent and then Tabb! New Kent can be #1, but Tabb is coming in at #2. We'll let this game go, but next game, the Comeback Kids return! So good job softball. New Kent is just really good, but next game...you got this!

TEN TO THE NIS

It's tennis and all the results I have are boys...which is weird because they were further away....and lost! It was 7 to 2, Jamestown. The match won tat I can see was by Shinin' Shetty who did it 6-2 in singles...oh and hi and Vidakis got a wi in doubles. It was 8 to 4. The rest were a bunch of defeats...but like softball...Jamestown is on top of the district. They're undefeated, so no harsh feelings. Good job guys! And to make you feel better I'll say the girls didn't get a win either! Both teams instead of a win I'll give you shoutie! Great job! Forget good and forget Jamestown. Just keep causing all the racket..get it?...Okay...yeah...I'm done.

THE ROYAL TABB BLOG WEDDING

 
The Tabb Blog is the top blog on HR Varsity, so we're like the king, so...yes...we're royality! What other type of royal wedding would be going? Last time I checked we live in America, so why would networks give coverage to some dumb wedding happening in English?...We woped those guys twice...and also you're welcome for WW2! So this blog is giving coverage to another dumb wedding...except this one hasto do with animals! As you can see Alexis is anxiously waiting her big day. Her and Popcorn have agreed not to se each other until then. Currently, Alexis is getting some rest until Friday and so is Popcorn, but he normally sleeps all day anyway! For his bachelor party we are going to a restaurant in an aviary. There is no actual restaurant inside, but Popcorn is gong to make it one. After we are going to chill at the yarn factory and have fun there...mostly Popcorn will. We will finish the evening with some ice cold shots of milk. It'll be me, Popcorn, the Wiz Kid, Kirby, Cat Man (he played on football team and looks like a cat. I won't reveal his true identity)...and I think Marty is too busy tonight, but it should be fun! Popcorn only has one more day to be a free man! But look what he's marrying? What a cutie! And for the record Popcorn looks better than Prince William...Alexis to Kate....well  Kate is really really pretty...sorry girl! Our coverage will start at 3! The other wedding's will start at 4...oh, I guess ours is better! Don't miss it on Friday at 11...British time!...who'll get more viewers?! So if you lie to self-indulge in a wedding that has nothing to do with you then do so with one that matters...Popcorn's! ...You don't have to drink tea...just tap water!

Lacrosse has a game tonight against First Colonial...in Va Beach. Last game of the regular season. Hopefully their #1 fan James Everhart shows up...he was absent last time! You're losing the title! Tomorrow we'll discuss girls soccer's game, the boys soccer's game, girls lacrosse's game, and the draft! No not NFL draft! The BRD draft! You'll see what promising players will possibly be on the team in the fall!...Where should most picks go?...O-line?..I agree...stay tuned for that! That's all for today. EASTER MONDAY?

Seriously? You high school kids got Monday off! That's lame! Yeah, enjoy your pagan holiday!...I am not sure why I am complaining?...I only have week left of school...suck on that!!

LAST NIGHT

Even with this pagan celebration Tabb sports still made their way in. Even with no school, it does not matter to club sports. Boys lacrosse took on Kellum last night. It was the last home game of the regular season...during the playoffs, who knows? With it being the last game, it was made worthwhile. Actually I do not think it happened the way it did on purpose, but for a last game it was very memorable, which is good. It makes the people want to come back...and the free admission helps too...the 30 minute drive...not so much! People were there, but that was Grafton...and it was a no school day, so I was no expecting a full house. For those who did make it, witnessed the greatest game of the season. The best I've seen...okay this was only my 2nd game....but I have heard a lot of scores throughout the season and this was the closet. Both teams took awhile to warm-up. It was almost scoreless through the first. Eventually the rhythm kicked in and it was about 4 to 2 by the half or close to that. By the 2nd the Kellum Knights had divised a plan at their round table and pursued it. It proved effective, the score was tied 5-5 (Tabb got another score in.). When this tie took place I thought it was getting close to the end of regulation time, but apparently not or there was just enough time for 4 more goals; 1 by Kellum, 3 by Tabb. The final was 8-6, Tabb. It might have been the closet game of the year....could we say plainly...Game of the Year? It was exciting to watching and proved to me boys lacrosse is very physical! You guys are tough, you got me! Again, it was close, but in the end the knights had to crown the tigers as Duke of York! Good job to the entire team! I dugth undefeated! Can't wait for the next game...that is not in Virginia Beach. So...play-offs?...Wait I won't talk about those!

THE CLOUDS AHEAD

I've seen a few dark clouds ahead, but none never stay too long. I heard it was suppose to be raining today....but the again when are weathermen ever right? A weatherman and the Tabb Sports Blog are the only job where you don't get fired for being wrong! I guess I shouln't give them a hard time! It gets dark, but then light again, so this rain I am not sure of! There are a few games going on today, but all of them are away...except girls tennis.

Baseball is traveling up to New Kent...and that is way up there! Our guys have been playing fantasically. They only have 2 losses and 1 tie...and all their wins include Poquoson. State champion, what?!...Not this year!...I hope...football and baseball champions in the same year? C'mon Tabb needs some too! Share the wealth! Plus, only Tabb knows how to 3-peat! Today we're focused on New Kent. We beat 'em the first time, so now it's time to do so on their turf! They're only trojans...not spartans...spartans would be a whole different story! We're not dining in Hell. I am not sure who is on mound...I think Corbett was last time...so Lefty Lyons...haven't seen No-Hit Norris in awhile...whoever it is I am New Kent will be walking...walking home! They just won't want to play anymore! (They live close-by.). With guys with names like Buffkin, Gallagher, Chinstrap Kegelman, Barber (he's opening up shop!), Corbin, Van Hosen....this isn't madness...THIS IS TABB! ...New Kent at 4.

What is there to say about tabb softball? Winning (is that catchphrase old yet?)! It's what they've been doing! Lead by St John on the mound, she has good genetics, remember Terrible 'Nice Beard' Thomas St John? Related. It's no wonder she has been successful. So far she has pitched in all the team's wins...I know it's fair to give breaks and have others get a turn, but if something is working...maybe it is better to stick with it...This team is sticking with winning! I called this streak happening and I am sticking with my word too! The BRD knows what is up finally, but it's too late! Softball has this winning thing down! With St John, the beamer, the bomber, Rue, Murray...there is no wonder why they been having a streak going on! Watch it keep on going today at New Kent at 4. It's tabb softball: where winners play!

Then we have tennis like always boys and girls play at the same time, but when is away and one is home. Girls won the coin flip and get to not travel. The boys are going up to J-town! They are going to bring frowns...they won't be frowning, but make the other team frown...right? Get it? Did I really need to explain that joke...or even need to say the joke?...Anyway, both our teams are descent. Not a bunch of losses, but not a bunch of wins either...but it's nothing to complain about. A lot of people who don't like sports actually enjoy tennis, so this is for you guys! Hey, I am not sure if you even pay to see these matches, so...are more coming now?...but no seats! It's no big deal...stop by today...the team will appreciate it! Today at 4 girls home, boys away!

POPCORN'S WEDDING UPDATE

The wedding will be at the SPCA petting zoo. The SPCA is a very special place to both Popcorn and Alexis. They both came from there. That was the thing they had in common to start this great relationship. All their friends are still there and is a place they both love. The petting zoo is free that day, so why not go...it's for Popcorn! The wedding is just around the corner! Tell your pets! No one thought Popcorn was going to settle down, but it's happening! Someone actually tamed him...so shethinks (Popcorn added that!)! April 29th at 11 at SPCA, be there or be lame! Tomorrow we'll have bachelor party info!!

We'll I think I hear thunder, but it's sunny...I don't know...I bet the games will be going....so go NOW! Head start! I guess I'll get going myself...bye-bye!

Do the Tabb Sports Blog like always! Do going back to school! Yep, right after a holiday! It was no national holiday. Earth Day was...but there was still school. I hear it was Earth Week! I missed out! And I forgot my free tree! Screw holidays, let's just focus on school...seriously I have finals next week!!

TONIGHT

The only school sport going on is not technically not a school sport! It is everyone's favorite club, lacrosse, tonight it's the boys meeting. They play Kellum. Ah...I do not have much jokes on that name. All I can say to boys lacrosse about Kellum is...kill 'em!...too graphic? The boys are undefeated in the HR Lax conference and guess who else is? No one! Trust they're not lonely! The team prefers it that way! They're doing better than many actual tabb sports...well there's soccer and baseball...okay about the same! That's still good company! The boys lacrosse wants your company! They do as well as any other sport for tabb and deserve the same support! They got the Warrior! He's a beast! He has to be held back most the time. Speaking of Popcorn's wedding it will officially begin at 11 AM. So that is on April 29th, 2011 at 11. There are about 1900 guests. Popcorn knows alot of people...don't tell him this, but only about 9 have confirmed! Most people think it's a joke...but animals get married all the time! Lassie is like the Elizabeth Taylor of the dog world! Friday is going to be a big day! Our coverage will begin at like 4 AM! I know people will just be so anxious for the ceremony. I know there are many questions about Alexis. She has no connection to Tabb Blog royalty. She is just a simpleton, but is ready to take our spot in the blog. She has been learning and training for weeks now! I hope she will be well accepted. It just come to Popcorn and my attention there is another wedding going on that day...some prince thing?...So you have to decide...do you want to see a wedding of a monarchy that doesn't rule you...or some dumb cat and dog?

We do have some games going on tomorrow, but I also hear we have some rain going on as well. Most games are away, so I am not sure how many of you were actually planning on attending. Baseball and softball are having an away week. Sorry fans, you won't see them all week! There'll be no strikes called! They are up in New Kent. Tennis plays Jamestown, boys away girls home. Do they play tennis in the rain? We'll find out tomorrow...

HAPPY EASTER!! WAR IS OVER!!

What war? Santa and the Easter Bunny have a turf war going on! Why do I blog on Easter? Not everyone celebrates it! We're not on break or anything. There is school tomorrow! I blogged during Passover. Isn't Passover like a week? And Chanukah is 8 days....man, Jewish people know how to do holidays! The Easter Bunny does not visit my house because Popcorn chases all rabbits away...even 6 foot tall ones! Having your picture taken with the Easter Bunny is a little creepy. It is just some guy in a bunny suit....there are alot of people who wear bunny suits for weird reasons! I just don't know his story. How'd he get so tall and start delivering goodies? It's just a little creepy! I've always felt that way.  I have to write thiss fast so I can start finding all the eggs he's hidden....and if I don't they'll be there until next year...

Okay, soooo we had a baseball game yessterday, which....I...don't have....it was far away....on the day before Easter! Like always I'm going to say it's a W. I don't know...8 to 6...I'm no Popcorn though...okay I really do not have much today!! In other news the tigers have had their council meeting and have ruled that they are not offended by our use of their likeness and name. Tabb has special permission to be called Tigers from the tiger community. I don't know about all these other Bay Rivers teams...falcons, panthers...? The Tigers understood our purpose and support us greatly. Maybe next game a few may stop by. It is good to get such support. Nowadays people get offended bby anything! Hurricane victims by teams named hurricanes or teams named crusaders get guff from people's ancestors who died back then. Who can trace their family that far? Gettysburg College gets a rough time for being the bullets...it was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. At Tabb there is no controversy....We All Have Stripes!

With this wedding on the 29th I know what most are thinking...what are the couple wearing! Popcorn will have a Slyvester designed tux from the cat bontique http://www.thesophisticatedcat.com/cat_clothes/special_occasion/tuxedo.html. It is as tradition as you can get, but still classy, very. Alexis is sticking to the traditional theme and sticking to a classic vintage white dress designed by Benji from poochie heaven http://www.poochieheaven.com/happilyeverdogweddingdress.html. I think colors of the wedding will just be black and white. It's an old fashion theme. We just have the fashion insight ffor today, but stick around all week for more. Remember the big day is the 29th...what other wedding is going on that day?!

I remember when I was little I was on an easter egg hunt and I thought I opened a plastic egg that turned out to be a real egg painted! It was a mess! Now when I participate in easter egg hunts I look like a jerk because I have so much better searching skills than kids who are 4! Hunts have no age limits! WHAT DO I HAVE TODAY?

Not much...guess what happened yesterday...not much....actually not anything! For once there was a Friday that did not have like 9 different games that went on, which leaves me less busy, but also less material to write about! Yesterday was Mother Nature's Day and anyone who knows me knows I have a thing for moms! I hear at Lowe's, today, they're giving away free trees! I don't know the what size or it it is just seeds, but it's free! There was a Captain Planet marathon on yesterday, you needed the 500 channel package to see it, and I will say it was a ground-breaking show. Not only was it was on the first cartoons to talk about helping the environment, but one episode has Hitler in it and there is one about AIDS! I am being serious. I doubt many cartoons today would hit those topics! Anyway...still ot much went on yesterday.....like 2000 years ago this guy died...but he came back. I'll stop my babbling. There is one sport thing going on today.

Usually boys play and girls play when it comes to baseball and softball, but today it is only baseball. It maybe a double header....but I doubt it. It is written on my HR Varsity schedule twice in a row, but the 2nd time says 11 pm. That is one late game! I am sticking with the 1 pm time. Tabb takes on Powhatan. Powhatan always has a good football team, but does it have the same effect on baseball? We must wait and see. The game is at Powhatan, so I don't know how many of you are actually going...but if you do Powhatan is in...Powhatan, Virginia...a little simple. It does have an A in front of the N. I think usually people would spell it Powhaton...or maybe that has just been my mistake! By the way Algonquain is a language. Tabb is traveling up to play the school today. We learned from last game Tabb does not only have great players, but great players with cool last names! What up Buffkin? What up Gallagher? I think Gallagher might be cooler. Along with the usual, Growing a Chin Strap Kegelman, Southpaw but not a pitcher Barber, Captain Corbett, and they also have Baggett...so what else does a team need? They got the wins too...and will be adding on today. Powhatan are the indians like I didn't see that mascot coming! Indian maybe offensive, maybe go with tribe....wait that offensive too! I hope Tigers are not offended by our use of their name. We mean it in no disrespect. Tigers have accomplished so much that by naming our mascots after you we meant it as a way of honor. Kirby seems fine with it...but does he speak for all tigers. I hope everything is accepted in the tiger community. Well, today at 1 in Powhatan, which is in Central Virginia somewhere, it's Tigers vs. Indians....wait that sounds offensive!...Just be there if you can.

Ah...in other news, sport wize, the new football practice schedule for..I think it is VHSL in general is well liked. I do not really understand the whole scheduling, but it is suppose to be good enough for both players and coaches to still have lives! Also, a coach can work more with it's quarterbacks...so fingers crossed...Tabb may have a passing game in the fall! Hopefully this new practice schedule helps....Tabb Football lost like 14 seniors! Those young guys need to step it up! Poquoson just came off a state title, Lafayette has a new head coach who is suppose to be good, Grafton and York are Grafton and York....next year will be as fun as this year! What is the blog working schedule? Was anything revised? I blog everyday!...no other bloggers do...I guess mine is by choice...and I am just on a different level than the others! You must be this great to blog!...but seriously..when am I getting paid!

WEDDING NEWS

April 29th...we all know what is going on that day. What royal thing? No! Someone really close to us is getting married....Popcorn. Yes, he has kept it a secret, but announced it yesterday. He is pretty young, not even being 2 yet, but in cat years he's like 18, so it all legal. He is marrying someone a little older..I think 4...here is the beauty

 
Yep, Popcorn is into dogs. Back years ago this interspeices marriages or just relationship would not be accepted, but we have matured as a nation. Her name is Alexis, her and Popcorn met...well she is my sister's dog...so it just happened one day and it was love at first sight. Everyone is invited to the wedding. EARTH DAY!!

 
It has been said everyday is Earth Day...but today is when it counts. This tree was dead before Martin hugged it! See what simple hug can do! But it's not hug day...yet! There is so much you can do in your community. Ever look at the side of the road while driving? Yikes!! Clean that up! Let the grass grow naturally don't cut it for a day....is there such thing as a perfect lawn? Not in my neighborhood! This blog is 100% recyclable and who know what else? So many household objects. Those jeans you're wearing were once a bunch of broken bottles and pizza boxes. How cool is that? Ever have some oil or other liquid you don't need and you just pour in the lake? That's bad! We don't want 3-headed fishes! Today just go for hike and appreciate the scenery around us. We are lucky to have it and who knows how long we'll have it. Earth is just not your home, but everyone's. treat with respect a home deserves. Remember to buy some scuba gear for future, save the polar bears, don't use spray deteriorate, recycle everything, leave no trace, plant stuff, lobby against polluting factors, hug trees, be a hippie, but not commie, and remember the power is yours! Wow, thanks for the intro Captain! Before we go into more Earth Day stuff we actually have more Tabb Sports stuff! We had some games go on last night! I was at the girls lacrosse game...my 2nd this week...and the entire season!...I'll be at more...it was a showdown...or maybe the word is shut out! The girls scored 15 or 16 goals. My memory escapes me, but it was alot! But to be fair, it wasn't quite a shut out, Poquoson scored one goal! They got a score in! Those girls delivered once! I heard they are a first year team, so facing a powerhouse like Tabb takes guts and getting a goal in on Tabb takes even more effort! They deserve some recognition....I'm nicer on Earth Day! As for scorers, you know, I never quite have that info...I know a few were wusked in, Bonnie did some work, I'll say the Dynamite blew some in, Oakley got the ball past the goalie,...it was a sharing experience! They won...again! I think this makes them on top in their district....or league...or whatever they're in! Boys are the same! Tabb is having a new underground dynasty in lacrosse! Be apart. I saw many of my pals at the game, Dominant DiOrio, Matty J, and Krista came back from Paris for Easter weekend and was there. It was fun...but a little chilly...too chilly for sun dresses! It was a long drive, but worth it...unless gas goes up to $5 a gallon! ...so Matt am I not the best driver ever?!...I thought I had more room...Dragonfly is awesome!

Baseball and softball played Lafayette twice in one week. I didn't know we did series in high school. It was unfortunate...for Lafayette. They turned out to be no Marquis! Baseball was at home, Corbett was on the mound, and fans were in the seats...I assume I wasn't there! Tabb won this two game series, 5 to 4, this time. Captain Corbett pitched fine and went 1-2 with a double, Buffkin (with that last name you don't need a nickname!) went 1-1 with a run and RBI, and Gallagher (another sweet last night! He smashes balls like they're water melons) went 1-1 with a run. Tabb won and are like 2nd in the district, so this two game series accomplished much for the team. It is my understanding they play tomorrow, but is an out of district game...some in Northern Virginia or something? It's actually Powhatan, that's up there! Good job on the win...and you too girls lacrosse...sorry I forgot in the paragraph above!

There is this new craze going on....have you heard? It's an actual sport, but has a bit of a cult following like lacrosse, but is getting bigger! It's the Tabb softball sensation! It's hitting the nation...or just the tabb community, but still! These girls had a bit of a rocky start, but now have a 3-game winning streak going...and it's going...and going...I don't see it being gone! They won their two game series against Lafayette too, but the game yesterday, they won 4-0. The team did not let Lafayette score even once...by those standards they did better than the boys. St John is really living up to her last name. All three wins she has been pitching...she is becoming the first lady of the team! She also went 2-3 with 2 runs, 'Rockin' Rue went 1-4 with a RBI, 'Memorizin' Murray (nickname is a workin' progress!) went 1-3, and Burnette (is she the beamer or the bomber, I forget!) went 4-4 with 2 runs!  I predicted it and it is happening! I told you so! Tabb softball is here! Take notice already! They are starting a W collection. BRD teams beware! Great job on another win girls!...I am glad we are finally done playing Lafayette! We know they're uncastrated sheep, named after Marquis de LaFayette, in Williamsburg, Lawrence Taylor went to the school...I really have no material left!...wait for new jokes when play-offs hit!

So tonight...there is nothing! No games! Tomorrow will be the saddest blog...ever! I have no idea what I am writing! It's going to be gloomy...help out if you can! But, hey, no games tonight means you can celebrate Earth Day! I don't think much is going on locally, some stuff at Mount Trashmore, but not in Yorktown...you don't need events to celebrate! As the kinda lame intro said just take a hike or guess what I'm planting...

 
Who wants to help? They are a pretty blue! By writing in green I saved a lot of dark coloring and green is made by mixing colors together, colors are not really being used, so I kinda recycled! I don't really want to beat a message over anyone's head...who am I Al Gore?...but I like the quote 'everyday is Earth Day', you shouldn't just help the community this one day...then nothing would get done! Captain Planet is retiring anyway, I hear. Step it up! If the polar ice caps do melt and flood the Earth...well in Waterworld, people adapted and became half fish...that actual sounds kinda cool! Don't let stuff worry you, just do what you think is right!...Polar bears are mean anyway! Hippies did a few good things it turns out, but...tye dye is out!..I...for ick!..

IT'S TOO EARLY...

I'm really busy today. This is the only time I have to post something unless it's like a 7 at night. Seriously is anyone really that interested in tabb sports blog to read at 8 in the morning? Well this one is for you! You're welcome!

I have no results from yesterday. There were no games, so that makes sense. There are a few games today....I think.. First let me bring up the greatest show with nets...they have double nets...yes it's lacrosse! And it's girls only today. I do not know if it'll be warm enough for a sun dress again, but stop by anyway. It is my understanding that the team has  only lost 1 game and today they play Poquoson. Do I really need to say anything? It's been awhile since I've thrown out some zings, but it's all old hat now anyway...there'll be a lot of pick-up trucks in the parking lot today. Was that good? A little weak...it doesn't mater what the score is, people from Poquoson can't count anyway! There's a good zing! Back to the actual game, the Red Raider leads this patrol with explosive expert 'Dynamite' Dana, havoc coordinator Jen Harvey, the Great Oakley, Wusk specialist Grace and Betsy, and stll have a fair share of Bourgeois. Yes, that's what that smell is. The game is at 4:30-6:00. I think it is going to be a bit longer than last time! It is nonstop action. This game is not for the weak hearted or people who are pregnaunt. This is a warning. Yorktown Middle is becoming Lacrosse Middle...or...ah...something like that...but yeah...bare the traffic and come! Everyone else is. Yep, that's why there is so much traffic on 17 everyday...everyone thinks a lacrosse game is going on!

On Tuesday baseball and softball played Lafayette up in Lafayette. It's okay if you missed it it's okay. First, many people did. It was all the way up in Williamsburg! Now we take our ram slaughter to our home. Yeah, I felt a little uneasy calling it slaughter too...no one really eats ram...they are sheep...so I guess lamb. Hey, it's Greek Night at the ball park tonight! Forget hot dogs! We got gyros! In baseball and softball you play both teams twice. Instead of starting all over again the schedule goes backwards. It's fine, the schedule looks better backwards. Easy wins to start with...it's towards the end where we should worry! Our baseball team has been pretty good. They have not lost in awhile...although I never found the score from Tuesday. They beat Poquoson the recent state champ. Also, we have, let's just say it 'possible...most likley' league MVP Patrick Corbett. Along with all the other guys makes a pretty good team...except Chinstrap Kegelman does not really have a chinstrap...work on that Chris! As for softball, they're winning now! Forget the od team...this is the a new one! St. John is on the mound delivering frowns. They got a beamer and a bomber. These rematches will serve the team well and take many by surprise. We're moving on up to the top of the district! Just watch! The streak goes on today! Both teams play at the school today at 4. Lafayette will be so scared they're going to wish they had LT again...that guy didn't even play baseball...or softball?

There is a week break in soccer play...actually it is longer than a week, but they do not play again until a week from today. I'll miss soccer too much. I need something on it. I have this friend who has years of soccer experience. He goes by Coach Ryan. He'll give us tips on the game and advice for the teams. He currently is not able to make the games...this is a mug shot...he likes soccer a little too much...but here is Coach Ryan on both boys and girls soccer's progress:

Okay, well Coach Ryan has very little to say or will go on tangents or tell us things we don't want to hear! This is just an introduction. He'll have more...and you'll see him at soccer games...once he's eligible for parole.

Tomorrow is a Good Day. It is Earth Day...what else do you think I was going to say? Earth Day is more than whacked-out hippie invention. It is important to make sure our planet is safe. Currentlly we are not able to ive on any other, so for now we have make sure ours is good. This blog is very eco-friendly. I don't print this, so I save trees and after I'm done I shut down my computer, so I save energy. Tabb does a lot of good too. They have Club Earth, which sounds like a dance club with a space theme, but they do a lot of work and even tabb sports helps out....I don't think baseball uses wooden bats! This blog is planning big things for tomorrow and you should too. Plant flowers, have a picnic, don't liter, or just hug a tree. We may have a special guest blogger tomorrow...we just need to find some wind...get it? You'll see....then after a couple days after is like Baskin-Robbins free scope day? Ice Cream is my favorite food! Maybe April isn't so bad!....sorry Matt Jacobson about my liberal nonsense.
