SNOW?

I heard there's suppose to be snow today. I thought we were in spring?! Seriously, when is the warm weather coming?! Aw, man! Before I talk about the results from Tabb Sports Day, let me ask:...yo, did anyone catch that VCU-FSU game last night?! It was intense! VCU was playing pretty good, but then half way through the 2nd turned to crap! They weren't making anything, but FSU'soffense was just as bad. Their defense is another story! VCU got lucky. I don't see them winning the next game! Hey, at least our fine state of Virginia is represented on a national stage. Me and Popcorn's bracket are pitiful...but isn't everyone's?

PERFECT

During football season we called him No-Way Norris because there is no way you'd get past him. Now in baseball it is No-Hit Norris because there is no way you can get a hit off of him. Yes, Cody Norris pitched a no-no yesterday. His no name goes up with the 20 others who have done so...well that's in the majors, but I'm sure the vhsl has around the same number as well. I am bummed the game was all the way up at Bruton. Something this perfect should have be seen! Asides from the perfection Norris went 3-4 with a triple, and 3 RBI, Chinstrap Kegelman went 1-3 with a HR, Double-up Durpee went 2-3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs, 2 RBI, and 2 stolen bases (get the nickname?), Corbett went 2-4 with 2 runs and a RBI, and Lefty Lyons went 2-4 with a double, run, and a RBI. All that equals a 10-0 victory over Bruton. Speaking Lefty Lyons, he starts today against York. That game is at York at 3:30. I mean unless it snows?! I hear this the game to watch according to Marty O'Brien. I think we ave a game of the week again! Today, we might have our first Marty sighting of the season! We have waited for this York game for like 2 weeks and finally we shall see it. It's falcon hunting season, come prepared....not literally!

Of course at the same time and the place softball was playing. They have been playing really tough teams. Their schedule blows! Bruton was 2-1 entering this game. They areon top of the district...while we're kinda lower. Our team is trying their best. Don't worry if you try hard enough you'll become successful. Michael Jordan didn't make his high basketball team and now look at him. Yeah, I hope success is gained while in the team is in high school too! The top two stand-outs yesterday were St. John who went 2-3 and Rue who went 2-3 as well. The tigers scored a run, but just one while Bruton stacked on 5. Softball has already York, so has until Monday off! Time to recoop. Again in this game, there were some struggles from the team, but I am telling give it time. Sometime this season they'll start their wining streak. It will be an explosion out of nowhere. Build your shelters now!

CAN'T MISS TENNIS

Okay, I did, but I hope no one else did. For the 2nd season play against York our team was not the winner. We're 0-2, so far ,0-3 if you break down tennis into boys and girls. York means business in the spring. They're still mad at what we did to them in boys basketball! The tennis teams did not do horrific...although I am not sure what is considered bad for tennis. The boys were beat by the Falcons 7-2. Shetty defeated Chang 6-2 and in doubles him and Vidakis defeated Kinney-Chong 9-8 and the est of the matches York owned hints the 7-2. Girls on the other hand only lost by 1 losing to York 5-4. Hogge defeated Brindza 6-0, Talley defeated Chang 6-3, in double Haase-Hoge defeated Plawska-Rigau 8-2, and Purdy-Seywald defeated Zhang-Perez 8-6. I know I have been writing the victims they have beaten, usually in sports like this I don't, but York won anyway so who cares! We know York this season, but there are more teams around. Now we wait to see how tiger tennis stands against them!

THE SIEGE OF THE PD

Boys soccer take on their final opponent from the Peninsula District. They have been playing the teams for the past two weeks now and have always ended with a win. It was not always easy, but in war nothing is. The school in their way of conquering the district was Menchville. They consider themselves monarchs. The throne was vacant last night and it was filled up again by anyone from Menchville. Tabb made a statement and stuck to it. Dominant DiOrio showed by they call him that and made a goal in. Then there was alot of Maw going on! No, it's not a slang word for ruckus, it's Reily Maw. He got a goal in as well. In the end the score was only 2-1, which is still a win. The siege is over. The tigers prevail! They have beaten every PD team they have faced. Which proves not only is our team good, but the BD over-weighs the PD. Tabb won a district that is not even their's...now can we get to some district play already!!

 A COLD ONE

No not a drink, the girls soccer game. It wasn't a harsh game or anything, it was just pretty chilly outside! The people who wore bundles were smart!  Smart like our girls soccer team. They faced Norfolk Collegiate and never backed down. They let score once, but Tabb scored 2 more times, so it was no problem. Tabb scorers were 'Magic' Macy Peebles, Brianna 'the Jazz' Jasenak, and 'Kinnetic' Diana Kinney! The successful of the team really warmed everyone up and forget what was read on the thermometer....most of the time. Girls have dominated all of their out of district play and Monday is when the real games start: York. Yes, it's district play and it's York, I told you how good they've been doing! Seems like the game to watch. It is at home, not Bailey home, but THS home at 7 and JV is at 5:30. By the way JV beat Norfolk 2-0. Both our girls soccer teams are doing great! Can't wait for them to bring all their stuff to district play! It starts Monday, be there or be lame!

SECRETS OUT!

I did go to the girls game, but it was cold. My man Chris Junio showed up and when he's in town crazy stuff always be going down. It was cold and he told his brother was playing the band concert inside. I always give band it's due. I use to post when competition were in the fall. The band always plays good, but at least I found out who really was in band. A lot of familiar faces are in it. Faces like Johnny Walker (a saxophonist! Ever notice how he looks like the Predator? New nickname? o, calling someone predator sound weird), Joe Nelson (he's not Mr. Defense here. More like Mr. Trombone!), and you probably already guessed it:...who-KNEE-Oh!(You know him as the football star, wrestling star, and now saxophone soloist star!) Also, Josh Williams who didn't do football, but he's still a cool guy. He does bowling. I'll give him a shoutie! Anyway, the secret it out! Perhaps it is not as huge of a secret, but these guys aren't as vocal about about it as others and are down to Earth. I mean some band kids.....are out there! It's good to know the football and band's relationship is not strained. When I was on the team, during practice, players just got annoyed hearing the band play the same song in the parking lot over and over again! People thought about stealing their instruments orchasing the band around with their cars, but looks like we have made peace. This is only concert band, it's more hush-hush, but we all know now! My mom needed her camera, so I couldn't take any pictures to prove it! George Mason University's pep band plays Rage Against the Machine. No lie! That sould be the fall program. I wouldn't go to the bathroom during halftime at football games. More people would join band. It'd awesome! Though I only made it for the last part I enjoyed Tiger cafe'. The Edgar Allen Poe piece was terrific and there was free cake...at least I think it was free!

What a great Tabb Sports Day! I have not heard anything from forensics. I thought it was a one day meet. I guess it was two...or everyone is super tired from it! Today, we got that baseball game at 3:30. Joe Nelson said there was a track meet at Todd Stadium today, all day, everyone will be there. That's all he told me. Girls lacrosse plays in Virginia Beach against Princess Anne...but do you really think I'll have that score!  Also, I believe there's a rugby game today. Sorry, I've been forgetting about those. It's  it's at Denbigh High, I think that's what DHS stands for, at 11. Good luck to all who play today and good job to all who played yesterday! So far this season Tabb has had much success, 3 undefeated team...d'oh I hope I didn't jinx it!

Snow?

Peace be with you
