NOT ALOT ON SUNDAY...

Picture 109
But it's Halloween! Say, hello to Markin (me as a pumpkin)!. He'll be on my steps this evening...please don't smash! Halloween flew past me this year! It might be because I forgot to buy candy corn, haven't been invited to a Halloween party in almost three years, and live with my dead grandfather. Not much celebrating has occured for me this year. It's a kid's holiday anyway...I guess... Share your ghost stories or whatever.... or share your costumes! Prize for best one...maybe! Yep, I'm a pumpkin this year! I was Vincent van Gogh last year....too soon?

I have not been fair. I have not been fair to volleyball. Every week I praise the Assist Queen of Tabb, the Bear, 'Shovel' Camarillo (that nickname is going to work I swear!), 'Lunatic' Lind, and the whole team, but the number of games I have attended is low. In fact you don't even need your fingers to count. I haven't been to any! I am ashamed. This week or next I will make a Tabb Volleyball game. The Tabb Blog shall be there. Let it be known! I am sorry. No wonder I never get any volleyball feedback. You guys know I'm not there. I apologize. I'll be there...or I'll be the lame one! ...Yet another sport I hope I can show my face at...

To answer my question from yesterday I believe friday was in fact senior night and there was a ceremony...but I showed up too late for it. Now I feel ashamed for that! I really wanted to see it...and found out where everyone plans to go to school...how many thanked the Tabb Blog...everything! I have known many of these guys for years! I am so bummed I missed it! I thought I left field hockey early enough! I apologize! I hope I can show....jeez can I show my face at any Tabb sport now?! Being the Tabb Blogger is so stressful! ...Well I have a picture with my favorite senior buddy...

IMG_9963
Me and the Q-train have been friends for years now and although I perfer him wearing a dress instead of a football I still want to wish him and the rest of the senior players hopes they had a great senior night and a great season. ....Yep, I'm that goofy looking guy at games.

This Week's Schedule

Monday: Field hockey at home vs Courtland at 7, the beginning of regionals (I probably won't have their full schedule this week. My schedule site does not include post-season. Whoever knows the full schedule this week please let me know.)

Actually there is like nothing this week! except jv football on wednesday and varsity on thursday. Both vs Warhill.

Crap, is volleyball over! I missed the entire season?! Any postseason? My schedule site is pretty blank in November. Please if you have any info let it be known....I have a feeling this is going to be a slow week!

#1

This blog is updated more than any other! I feel deserved to be #1...but it doesn't come easy! I put in hours in my ideas. Now I want yours! I still got my ideas...don't worry! But this blog is for the readers, what do you guys want?! Best idea might get something...

Picture 103
No...I'm not saying you'll get candy! Just showin' some of the goods I'm handing out tonight! Almond Joy, good? Anyway, this blog wants your ideas! Creativity is welcomed! Let me have it! I can't do this by myself...or Popcorn! We're #1 in York County...now let's be #1 overall! If we become #1 overall the greatness that will happen in unimaginable! Just wait! Thanks for helping!

That's all I got for today! Have a fun, spooky, and safe Halloween! Remember it ends at 8....and 12 and under only for tricks or treats...or maybe it's even 11 and under! Watch out for the creeps!  Wear reflectors!

For a special Halloween blog I have inserted special Halloween music. There's The Smashing Pumpkins because they're awesome and have the word pumpkin in the name. The song is kinda creepy. We got Feed my Frankenstein by Alice Cooper and for you old school kids: The Monster Mash. ...how many blogs have music?

For big kids not going trick or treating here are some Meyers & Phillips scary movies recommendations. I have never been into slasher gory nonsense, so these are more realistic type films. Heavenly Creatures is a fantastic New Zealand film by the Lord of Rings guy about a true story about two girl's friendship, which they did not wish to be broken if it means murder...of a parent. Also, Misery is pretty good too.

I haven't done this in awhile...but joke? What's a vampire's favortie body of water?

Lake Errie!...get it?...Okay this is as festive as I'll get!

THE DAY AFTER...

Where were you yesterday? The chili cook-off? Field hockey game? The football game? Just at home doin' nothing being lame? Well, alot took place yesterday! I have all the info...well not the chili cook-off! I'm not a student! I'm not going....weird! Feel free to tell the blog the winner though.

EPIC

The field hockey game truly lived to it's exspectations last night. It was beyond epic! It was one of the hardest played that has ever taken place! It was double overtime! Unfortunately, this blogger left in the middle of the 2nd to go to the football...which I don't even think it was senior night! I didn't notice any type of ceremony! Anyway, I feel horrible for leaving the game early and missing out on this battle! In the end the double overtime ended 1-0...Grafton. It did not matter though. I was told the tigers rushed the field and were just as loud, if not louder, than the Grafton team. You don't become the Greatest Show with Sticks through just athletic ability, sportsmanship plays along with it, which this team as proven time and time again they have. Last night also proved that the Bay Rivers District is one big family! As Krista Meyers told me, "On to the next game...woop woop!" So here's an actual shoutie to Grafton declaring a good job and a well played game and congrats on being district champs and good luck on your next game. The tigers play next on Monday at 7 at home vs Courtland of the first round of regionals. I am not leaving early again...I swear! I promise! I still feel ashamed! I hope I can show my face again...

THE GUARANTEE

Sure, my guarantee didn't come true...gimme a break I made that with my 13-month-old cat. Honestly...whatever! The game was looking kinda close. The game started strong. It was 0-0 for like the first half. One point it was even 7-14! But the football team is very young and makes some mistakes like...fumbles...inceptions....things that give the other team the ball! Poquoson take advantage and the final score was 28-7. The Tiger defense is still pretty phemounial. They denied Poquoson  so many 1st downs, touch downs, or any downs! It was a hard fought game. All I want to know is...was it senior night? I didn't notice a ceremony? I thought this was the last home game of the year? Have I been blogging the wrong information all week?!!.....I should've stayed at field hockey....no offense...

PLAYER OF THE GAME

Besides the great performance of the Jungle, the J-train rolled on into the end zone! Yes, who-KNEE-Oh! That was the only tiger touchdown of the night! Everyone should know how to pronounce his name by now!

FAN OF THE GAME

Picture 111
Alex Prior is a senior at Tabb. He use to play football, but because of injury problems he opted not to play this season. However, he still plays soccer! I'm sure I'll be writing about him in the future. Alex also is a poet. This is his real work.

Bombs raining from the sky

in a barrage of opalescent fire
Undaunted by the river of blood
that flows in its wake

Insensate bullets race obliquely left and right
hungry for the hearts of young men
Disconcerted patriotism
permeates your haggard soul

You watch as your brothers fall
and succumb to the chloroform of death
The light that once gave you hope
dwindles into a mere myth

The enemy fastidiously approaches
its foreign technology screams towards you
War is a dishonorable aberration of glory

that leaves behind emaciated ideals

You escape into the trench that you now call home
to buy precious moments for your convalescing soul
So many dead, the earth cannot sustain the bodies
poverty, disease, and death increasing too fast

The grim reaper cannot collect all the souls
So some must linger and wait their turn
You cry out one last time in despair
and God answers your anemic plea

The fog of poisonous, petulant passion lifts

and the sun purifies the stench of war
Blue sky permeates the battlefield
laying a comforting blanket over the dead

This judgment day is ended

Man’s innocence is rended
But the tension and greed is always there
God’s armistice with man will not last for long

Nevertheless life goes on like the flower
that dies and is reborn again
Oblivious to those who were lost
And the tears of their kin

Alex said he was reading the Red Badge of Courage at the time he wrote this. It is very good. He is talented not only on the sports field.

If last night was the last home...not much of a huge turn out...but it was pretty cold! Yep, says the guy who wore shorts! It doesn't bother me, I'm cold blooded! Also, I will say I think Poquoson has the worst colors! That's not red...or a maroon...or even burgandy! The yellow is washing machine mistake yellow...you know! They might've won...but at least the tigers colors and uniforms look sweet! By the way next football game: Thursday at Warhill at 7...don't think many fans will make it....school night!

Today.....don't know much that's going on...oh band has what is called VBODA State Marching Band Festival. That sounds fun! The band is cool...they play Iron Man during the games...which is awesome!...the whole half-time thing is cool too. Good luck!

That's all I got.

Peace be with you.

THE MOST EPIC DAY FOR TABB SPORTS EVER!!

I am very late. I have had a very busy day....and it's only 2:45! So much is going today it's ridiculous. You have no idea! It's brain blowing! But first let's go into the epic match last night...

Volleyball took down Bruton. The first set was 25-11, second was 25-18, and third was 25-19. 'Shovel' Camarillo (that nickname working yet?) had 3 aces, 5 digs, and a kill, 'Lunatic' Lind the Killer Queen 15 kills, 2 aces, and 2 blocks, 'Graceful' Galoozis had 6 kills, an ace, and a block. The tigers overall record is 14-6 and district: 12-6. Here's a shoutie saying good job!

JUDGEMENT DAY

The last time Tabb played Grafton in field hockey it was called the most epic field hockey game ever to be played! Now that they are doing it again...and it's for the district title the epic portions of this game is beyond measurement. The fate of the universe depends on this game. Everyone's lives are at stake. Judgement Day is coming today at 5:30 at Tabb. This game is not for the light hearted. Some may spontaneously self-combust. Seat belts maybe provided. Come see the whole gang take on Grafton and live to tell the tale! You can bring your chili with you. And if you buy a field hockey ticket that also counts as your football ticket that night! 2 games for the price of one! What a deal! Today at 5:30 watch the district battle of the century!

Speaking of district titles, Tabb Competition Cheer are, since like Wednesday, Bay Rivers district champs! They have won all their competitons this year! Here's a shoutie saying good job!

SENIOR TONIGHT

I gave out their names yesterday. Now come see them in action tonight. All seniors will play...along some other underclassmen. I guaranteed a win tonight and I'm sticking to it! I know everyone will be there and they should! Help wish the team a happy home good-bye! They won't be back at Bailey 'til next season....unless the playoff system is super nice! They have put in loads of work now come see it pay off! You got to have hope! If they don't win...I'll get a mullet...

I really don't have much today! Good luck to all the teams playing tonight!

Peace be with you.

FRIDAY, FRIDAY

syke! It's Thursday! Sorry to play such a cruel joke! We have one day though....and so many things shall occur. It will be insane!

DISTRICTS: GAME 2

Last night field hockey played their 2nd game in districts. What? Was it the quarter finals? Was that it? Anyway, Lafayette put up a good fight. They only let Tabb score once....but Tabb only let them score...none! The goal occurred during early in the first half by an assist by 'Killa' Krista to LC who, of course, always puts the ball past the goalie! At the beginning of the 2nd half the game was delayed for about 30 minutes due to a lighting watch. Both teams went inside the school...but fans stayed in the stands. I'm just saying if it was so serious the teams went inside...why didn't everyone? Anyway, that delay came and went and the tigers held on to their win. The weather was a factor last night. Grafton vs. Jamestown was suppose to play after, but was cancelled. Now I'm not really sure when they play, but the tigers play on Friday time: TBA against Grafton/Jamestown. Hopefully, they don't play the same time as the football game. Then this blogger has a very tough decision to make.

SENIOR NIGHT

Yes, it's senior night at the football game Friday. Some of our favorite guys are seniors: Q-train, Warrior, Terrible Thomas, Hunter, Killer, Harvester of Sorrow, Uh-oh, and so much more. This is a very special senior class. I've known alot of these guys for years. I use to watch these guys on JV and know they're all grown up! These guys are great! You'll never find anyone quite like them.

61038_434026659829_712864829_5142740_4483299_n
Ah.....well I guess I was right! I have always said there is nothing wrong with wearing dresses. It is a statement of self-expression. Heck, in some places around Hampton I am known as Martina.

This is their night! Here is a list of all Tabb Football's Senior

Michael 'Q-train' Quintana - is always a dominating force and always will be.

Steven Andrews: Harvester of Sorrow' - you don't get a nickname like that and not be totally awesome!

'Terrible' Thomas St John - you maybe terrible, but he always plays with complete sportsmanship and to his fullest making him one huge factor for the other team.

Anthony 'Uh-oh' Owen - his nickname is Uh-oh because when he sees you you're in trouble and better watch yourself!

Ian 'The Hunter' Haslip - unfortunately I believe is out for the remander of the season, but he played with his whole heart, always, and his spirit will be on the field, no doubt!

Michael 'the Man' Morton - you don't get the nickname The Man and not be The Man! That's all I need to say.

Sam 'Hawk' Barber - he doesn't have a mohawk anymore, so the nickname is pointless, but still cool and by the way the way this guy plays is unstoppable, just try to bring him down!

Zach 'Killer' Kezar - there is not much you can say for people who are the best and he is and he'll take you down with him!

Johnny 'Ranger' Walker - his nickname came from how his last name reminded me of Walker Texas Ranger, so any guy compared to Chuck Norris is sweet x 100000.

Aaron 'Attack' Macfarlane - plays a quiet game on the field, but when ready he'll ATTACK and it's all over!

Cody 'No Way' Norris - he's been injured most of the season, but now I'm pretty he's back making every pay for it and there's No Way past it.

Keith 'Warrior' Waller - this picture says it all

 Bbbbb
Bears are awesome!

Good luck to you guys! I guaranteed a win...if this happens I'm a genius! Forget Jimmy the Greek! Martin the French! This is the last home game (BLACK-OUT?!), so why wouldn't you go?...oh yeah, there maybe a field hockey...well why wouldn't go to any Tabb game that night? There's also that tailgate chilly cook-off going on like at 5. Tomorrow should be a good day!

TONIGHT

Volleyball vs Bruton at 6:30. It should be a terrific game! Come see how many assists the Assist Queen gets!

Shouties: good luck volleyball, good job field hockey, Daily Press it's Meyers not Myers!, Michael you look good in a dress, bears are still awesome, did JV football win,...I really gotta go! No time for editing...not like it matters!

Peace be with you.

WEDNESDAY, WEDNESDAY

Wednesday...we've made it to the half-way of the week. Friday in t-minus 2 days! But now we're still at Wednesday, so let's make due with what we have and get to some news!

VOLLEYBALL

had a game last night! You missed it? They beat Warhill! The first set was 25-20, second was 23-25, third was 25-21, and fourth was 25-21. 'Crazy' Chrismon had 11 kills, 3 blocks, and 2 digs, 'Shovel' (It's a working nickname.) Camarillo got 17 digs (get it?), and 'Maniac' Mack was back with 2 aces, 3 digs, and 45 assists. Tabb is 13-6 overall and 11-6 in the district. Next game: Thursday vs. Bruton at 6:30. Shouties: good job and good luck tomorrow!

DISTRICTS ROUND 2

If you missed the spectacular performance of the field hockey Monday night you can see them play this afternoon at 5:30 at home vs. Lafayette. Whenever Tabb field hockey plays it is always guaranteed tremendous. I've been good at my guarantees lately! Come see the "Amazing' Aymonin who got 3 goals last time, so the question is how much will she score this time? I say 5! Warning: There Will be Wusking at this game! Be aware! You really can't stop it! Don't forgot about the 'Killa', the 'Bionic' one, the one they call LC, Jazz, and the rest of the gang! It is also a guaranteed good time! They dom not only on faces, but all over! That's today 5:30 at Tabb! You know what you are if you're not there!

I know it is Poquoson week (insert joke here.) and we banned all jokes. They're lame. Everyone gets it. We're not going to talk bad. They're simple folk, but there is one problem. I have addressed this before, but was not aware of the outcome. I know the outcome and it upsets me. This is friend/fan of the blog: Quincy

24186_1363410758959_1042299831_1035987_4550501_n
...He has an alternative sense of dressing style. Besides that, he use to go to Chic-fil-a every friday morning for breakfast because we all know Chic-fil-a is also guaranteed tremendous! However, whenever he went the entire Poquoson football would be there ordering, cause service to take longer, and make Quincy late for school! On this blog we asked the team not to show up, so Quincy could have his amazing Chic-fil-a and be on time for class. It turns out it didn't work and Quincy stopped going to Chic-fil-a! I am not going as far to claim Poquoson made Quincy starve, but they were the reason he stop having Chic-fil-a which is almost as bad! Looking at this picture you might mistake him of being from Poquoson as well, but he's a Tabby! He needs his Chic-fil-a, it provides nutrients and ingredients that regular food does not and gives an extra greatness boost for your day that cannot be found anywhere else! Let's be honest Quincy is a twig and has like 10 AP classes! He needs his chic-fil-a! I hope your happy Poquoson! You put Quincy through some much stress! This Friday: Quincy go to Chic-fil-a! Maybe you'll have a special Tabb Sports Blog Cut Anyone from Poquoson in Line Pass! But seriously, Poquoson like I suggested before that Subway breakfast look interesting...or eat those chicken from your farm...or whatever! Let Quincy have his Chic-fil-a and by doing so seize the day! Good luck Timber!

Alright, I know Haslip is out for Friday's game. Is he out for the entire season? I don't know that much! Like I have been saying the past couple of days best wishes dude! I'm sure you'll have one hellauvah (I can write that word! The word bad ass was on the Popquoson blog yesterday! I wasn't aware we had so much freedom on these blogs! Uh-oh!) comeback soon enough! You are The Hunter!

Let's all folks! Shouties: good luck to field hockey and JV football tonight! I'll have at least one of those scores!

Peace be with you.

"I enjoy playing football." - Bobby Mills (ex-Tabb football star)

10/26/2010

TUESDAY, TUESDAY

Well, it is Tuesday October 26, 2010. Let's get started!...and to be perfectly honest I don't know have that much!

I am still not sure about the status of Haslip. It was said the results would be out Monday....but I haven't heard anything yet! I am sure the news will surface sometime today. I bet Marty will have that info soon enough. As for now we are still wishing him Ian the best of luck and to get better! :)

DISTRICTS: GAME 1

Did you see the field hockey's first game of the district tournament? They played Warhill. Well, they will play another because they won! The term always used to describe this is 'dom on faces', which indeed they did last night. The team won 7-0! There were many outstanding performances. They don't call her the 'Amazing' Julia Aymonin for nothing and last night she scored three times! The ball got Wusked in twice, LC got the ball past the goalie, and 'Bionic' Bonnie contributed with a goal as well. There were so many goal attempts by all the players. They played...dominantly. The next game is not tonight. It has been moved to Wednesday. I am not sure about the time. When it was on Tuesday it was at 5:30....so maybe that's the same maybe 7:00 again? Hopefully, atsirkk will let us know...or anyone else who is aware. Good news! Someone actually uploaded a photo! Here is the team after they beat Grafton. It is alot better than my photographic work!

They know where they're ranked!

BREAKING NEWS

This blog is now the full-time sponsor of Tiger TV! Specially their sports wrap section, of course! So now it is not a surprise if we get a mention! I'll still stream the video on the blog as a sense of gratitude and for all those kids who missed the episode! I am very happy with this great partnership!

Field Hockey does not play tonight, but guess who does? That's right volleyball! If you haven't seen a game yet this season what is stopping you? 'Maniac' Mack put up 51 assists last week. I can only predict she'll have more! 'Lunatic' Lind is the killer queen, The 'Bear' is a beast, Galoobs is sweet, and just the whole team is something to see! They play Warhill at home at 6:30. Be there or be lame!

WIZ KID

These past couple days I have had videos pleading for his return...but I no longer for anymore. Yeah, I know I only had three...no one else got back to me about shooting one. Which means, Matt, that maybe no one really wants you back....or they just think this whole idea is extremely stupid! Either one! To be honest Matt really cannot make it Friday...but he told he maybe back in a few weeks...before Thanksgiving. I will keep the date a secret and you shall see.... All in hopes we see this shining face again...

Matt
Matt will be at the game Friday. The spirit of him will. That's good enough.

Shouties: Ian Haslip for the best outcome, good job to field hockey, good luck volleyball, what up to Tiger TV, and we all love you Wiz Kid...no matter if no on wanted to make a video...hey Popcorn did!

Peace be with you.

A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO MATT WISNIEWSKI

Yeah...I'm getting desperate!

MONDAY, MONDAY

I am a bit late on writing than I usually am. I had to do some studying and take a test. Yep, it did suck...but I accomplish that...now to accomplish this!

I know Monday the status of Haslip would be revealed, but I do not know of it at this moment. I don't think anyone does...but once I hear anything I will let it be known. I believe the speak for the entire Bay Rivers District...and maybe even the Peninsula when I say get well Ian and we all hope for the best!...I am wearing my ear-muffs right now for you...that's powerful!

NEWS I GOT FROM TIGER TV OR OTHER SOURCES

Hey, the blog was mention on Tiger TV again, score! By watching it I learned on Wednesday competition cheer has their district...ah...competition at Lafayette. Here is the episode.

Like last time just skim to like 3:00 and you'll see the mention. You could watch the entire...but that'd kinda strange if you're not a student! Did you listen about that tailgate chili cook-off iron chef thing? That sounds cool!...but also would be strange if you showed up and weren't a student!...Therefore I probably won't make it! I'll probably place my bet on Olivo (I have heard he's a genius). But man I know a guy who also can some monster chili...Popcorn. Granted the meat he uses is a cat food, but the way he prepares it and the sauce he uses almost makes you forget that fact....almost...

Another change in scheduling, not learned from Tiger TV, but blog commenter atsirkk is...well I was wrong field hockey does not have a week off! Sorry to get any players excited! In fact the team has quite a busy week. They have the district tournament this week and also have home field advantage for it. My schedule does not include districts! Here's the schedule:

Monday (tonight): Warhill at 7 pm

Tuesday (if they win): face To Be Determined at 5:30 pm

Thursday (if they win again): face another To Be Determined at 7 pm

They don't call it home field advantage for nothing, so come watch them play! Be the 12th man...wait does that work for field hockey?...Anyway, come to the first round tonight! You won't be disappointed...and if you are...you're not a TRUE Tabb fan!

Also, thanks to atsirkk we now know One Acts Regional will be at Lafayette on Nov. 13th time: TBA. That isn't too far away, so if you haven't seen 'War at Home' you still have a chance! Trust me it's that good! Thank you atsirkk for all this needed info!

Well, it's Poquoson week (insert joke here!). I know seriously that's my point. We have all heard the jokes! They get old! I haven't heard a new GOOD one in forever! How about we be big people and make this Poquoson joke-free week! They're nice people. My sister married a guy who's from there. He cool. Let's be worthy competitors....even though this blog has already guranateed a Tabb win Friday...either way the jokes are just kinda dumb! Hey, it's not their fault they can't read!....Okay, that was the last one for the week...promise....hopefully!

POPCORN'S PICKS

1e30bf695f4e__1278942305000

Yeah, Popcorn is exhausted after this weekend! He only got one game wrong! Who saw that Lafayette win coming? He even chipped on the Tabb over Poquoson guarantee win! So much has been going on for such a small cat! Hopefully this week will be even better for him. Dare I say perfect? Let's see. Here are the picks...

Grafton 35   Smithfield 24

Jamestown 21   New Kent 7

Bruton 28   Warhill 14

York 28   Lafayette 26

Tabb 40  Poquoson 0

Watch see how Popcorn does this. Dare to challenge him? Go for it....he's only a 13-month-old cat!...Hey, Poquoson is undefeated in the district...so can we finally do BLACK-OUT?!!

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

'Maniac' Mack - for here extensive amount of assists! One night last week she got 51! We don't call her the Assist Queen of Tabb for nothing!

Andrew 'J-train' Junio - for scoring twice Sunday, getting my prediction correct, and for the media getting the pronunciation of your name correct: who-KNEW-Oh!

Grace Wusk - she got in a few goals during the field hockey game and also gave this blog a new word: Wusk (verb) - a performance of extreme excellence and ownage that can only be accomplished in field hockey!

Blake Finkenhauer - got 2nd place at his cross country meet like almost 2 weeks ago, but the blog didn't find out about it 'til last week (thanks to Tiger TV!)...and with a name like Finkenhauer we have to acknowledge you!

Have someone you think should be a player of the week? Let the blog by commenting!...and please someone upload some pictures please!...TABB pictures!....TABB SPORTS pictures...not tabby cats!

That's all I got! Field Hockey tonight at 7: Be There or Be Lame!! I'm predicting some dom on faces tonight!

Best wishes Ian.

Peace be with you.

A MESSAGE TO MATT WISNIEWSKI

Before that if there are still people who are not aware who this Matt Wisniewski is, let me tell you. He is my best friend. He graduated Tabb with in '09. Many still know him at Tabb and just about everyone thinks he's the coolest! He ran track and was the star role in Superman: the Musical. I haven't seen him since August! No one has! We all miss him! Matt likes JMU too much! Thanksgiving break is too far away! Come back...this friday! So help us bring Matt home! Write letters, videos, paintings, ANYTHING!

N596836646_907202_854
Look how cool he looks? Who wouldn't want to see him?

TODAY'S MESSAGE (No wind this time!)

How do you feel now, Matt?

QUITE ALOT ON A SUNDAY....

Usually, I am scavenging for material on Sunday, but today is different! I might have more than I had yesterday! To start I did not have the extra details of the Jamestown game....but guess who does??

Marty is the man! But I was pretty good with my predictions as well! I called Junio having 2 touchdowns and Schiele's touchdown pass to Waller! By the way Marty it's Keith Waller...I think you wrote Dave Waller or something like that! Well, I'm pretty good at predictions then...watch out Popcorn! Okay, I'm not that good! So remember if Marty Phillips doesn't have the info Marty O'Brien will!

Here's to Ian Haslip for best wishes towards his injury. His knee got hurt during the 1st quarter on Friday and it may cause him to miss the rest of the season. Ian is the face of the defense pretty much and always performs to his fullest. Ian supports this blog as much as we support him. We all hope things work out and wish too see him back on the field where he belongs.

ONE ACTS: DISTRICTS

Hey, did you know one acts districts were free? I know awesome! So why didn't you go?! I was right when I said 'War at Home' was better the second time around! It was just as powerful and memorizing as it was the first night I saw it over a week ago. There is not a weak performance in this ensemble cast. Everyone deliver very effectively. I have seen many One Acts in my time, but this is the only one I would call incredible. The judges agreed with me and 'War at Home' won 2nd place yesterday, which means they will be going to regionals! I'll let you the time, date, and place as soon as I can. If you still haven't seen this performance then you should travel to regionals with them...I'm sure it's not too far...maybe. But seriously it's worth it! All my positive remarks should not come as a surprise...I mean it is a Krista Meyers Production!

Picture 104
Yes, my picture taking skills have not improved!! You saw should see the other takes! I always get the left angle view! Again, on the right side of this blog there is a link that reads: Uploadand Browse Tabb Sports Pictures. ANYONE can upload! I know others were taking pictures yesterday and also at the field hockey game. Upload your photos! The blog needs them! DO IT!!! (Please :) ) Well, sorry for the bad picture...and no I cannot name everyone in the picture...so let me know where you are! Great job and good luck at regionals!

At districts, many of us Tabb folk, were waiting in the lobby for the previous performance to end, so we could go in the auditorium and get seated and watch Tabb perform. I was sitting by myself reading the program while I was doing so I heard people talk about the field hockey game that took place on Thursday. I heard about it's great coverage on a daily press blog and creative it was. Well, little did anyone know that blogger was sitting any a few feet away! I'm really shy to go up to people I don't know, but thank you so much on the positive feedback! This blog is not the #1 most viewed blog, but we are the most viewed blog of a york county school. Therefore the Tabb Sports Blog: Is #1 in York County! Thanks from people like I heard from yesterday! Hopefully, one day we're be #1 overall! ...By the way the Tabb Sports Blog is the home for Tabb Field Hockey....so keep reading definitely.

who-KNEE-Oh!

I did listen to Friday's game a little bit on the radio Friday and I noticed they were pronouncing Andrew Junio's name correctly! This is honestly the first I have heard the media say it right! Even at home games the announcer messes it up! I wonder how the radio guys knew how to say it? That's right this blog! I have always brought the attention of the pronunciation of Junio. I have written entire entries, written TV stations, newspapers, walked up to random people and told them, tried to buy a billboard once, sent a chain email...okay I've explained this before! Anyway it's catching on! My influence of the blog can be heard! I did it Andrew! Everyone knows that Junio is pronounced who-KNEE-Oh! No thanks is needed! ...and the blog is NOT #1 in views?!

Okay, here is this week's schedule...

Monday: NOTHING! Another night off!

Tuesday: Volleyball vs. Warhill at 6:30

Wednesday: JV football vs. Poquoson at 6:30...who knows I may have a score this week!

Thursday: Volleyball vs. Bruton at 6:30

Friday: Football vs. Poquoson at 7:00. LAST HOME GAME OF THE YEAR! Be there or be lame! BLACK-OUT?!

Enjoy the week off field hockey. You deserve it!...well I'm sure you still have practice! You don't become the Greatest Show with Sticks by doing nothing!

Guess what? The Yankees and the Phillies out of the World Series! Two teams I despise! This will be the Greatest World Series Ever! I like San Francisco because I think it is a beautiful city (can't say the same about Philadelphia!) and I like their color scheme and their rich history. However, they don't have Cliff Lee!

Before I go let the blog wish a happy be-lated birthday to ex-Tabb football star Zach Wilson. It was yesterday. I hope you had a great day! How old are you now? 19? 20? You are such a big boy!

Peace be with you.

"It was my birthday yesterday." - Zach Wilson
