THE SUNDAY SPECIAL

100_1330
Bad news is the softball season is over, but the good news is we have an interview with Kayla St. John and Kaitlin Bentley (Did I spell Kaitlin correctly?), so let the season live on for one more day!!  Yesterday poquoson won 2-0, but who gets their own day on this blog? Poquoson or you guys? Trust me,poquoson is not showing up on their own blog! That thing is dead! It is all about tabb softball today! Plus, I am busy moving into my summer housing, so I got stuff to do! Tomorrow will be a regular entry though...anyhow, congrats on a great season softball, we still showed 8 can be great! Now let us learn a bit from some softball players

Do you even read the blog?Yes, we have heard of it…and my brother had been on it a few times

Do you know how to pitch with your swinging arm? Yes, I do

Is softball pitching faster than baseball? No, we do not reach as high speeds as they do  Harder to hit? I think they are

Is era calculated the same? Yes…I think

How are the two games different? We have a smaller field, we have no mound, you can’t use the same stratergies in baseball in softball

Are hr easier to get it? No, not at all

How many people miss the . in st. john? Where does your last name originate from? I think it is like French and irishh or german or  something

Do you have any nicknames? We like your nicknames, bombers and beamers are awewsome ones!

Are you like the only pitcher? Pretty much…I get used the most

Is being the pitcher the most stressful position? It can be, it just depends how you handle things

Do you go by the catcher’s suggestion? Yes…well they are the coach’s suggestions really

How do you keep your arm loose? Stretch

Do you know your record? I do not keep count…I’ve been all-district before, so I think I am doing good

Fastest you have ever pitched? I think I may have hit 60 before

Does stealing happen as much in softball? It is harder to do because our field is smaller

Most damage the  ball has ever done? I’ve seen teeth knocked out before

How much do you bench?  100000,  together

There is major league softball? There are profressional leagues, but none are like softball

Why are helmets so big? They really want us to be protected

Is steroid use common in softball? I think that is more of a baseball thing

Do you have the same beard growing abilities that your bro has? Sorry  no

How many people actual attend softball games? Parents….

Do you consider softball really that soft? Trust us, those balls are not soft!

Is there smack talking? Like in most sports, every now and then Ever fight? Nothing that bad

Isn’t baseball fighting the best? Watching, maybe, but right in front of you, no

What is the easiest way to get on base? Ruinning as fast as you can

Does much sliding occurring? When you gosta Pushing? That’s cheap  Spiking? That’s bad

Pregame rituals? Just focus, toss the ball a little, swing around Good luck charms? We always wear the same equipment

Longest hit streak? We don’t count that either

Ever intentially walked someone? Maybe once Or hit? That is too mean

Is softball underappreciated? Yeah, we get written off Why should it be appreciated as much as softball? We work as hard as any other sport and softball is better game. Our field is smaller, it is more of a challenge

Are umpires cool? They can be Has anyone ever be kicked out of a game? We thought our coach might sometimes this season

What is the dirt made out of? It is like clay

What is the softball careers of you  both? St JJohn: I have been playing since I was young and here I am now. Bentley: I actually started in 9th grade and have been here ever since

Does the ball hurt? YES!  Is that a dumb question? YES!

Have a tournament winner? US!

How heavy is the bat? It is like regular baseball, but just a bit lighter

How do you deal with the sun in your eyes? Sunglasses

Ever been afraid of the ball? No, we deal with it so much we have conquered that fear

Do you go to bating cages? They are fun

Are series ever played? No, just single game most of the time

Have bats ever been broken? None Could you break a bat? If the ball was hard enough

Ever hit a homerun? A few

Are hot dogs sold? I don't think so...but peanunts are

Do you feel you guys are competing with softball when the games are going on at once? Two for the one deal? Well baseball did not do that well this year, so it kinda helped be recognized a bit and they have no deals like that, i know!

Injuries? Just strains or bruises by the ball

Is it lame you cannot play when bad weather happens? Yeah....but the field would be a mess if we did play

Where would you be without softball? Bored...not doing much...no friends...is that enough?

Could you kill a bird? None have flown by when we have played

Why are the balls yellow? They are bigger than baseballs too, it is our own softball thing

Has softball taught you any lessons? Teamwork can accomplish so much, and be patient

Why should people come to softball games? They are really good games and fun to watch

What your futures? Keep on playing and hopefully do so in college

What do you think of George mason? Best school ever

JAM PACKED

Lax
I got so much to get to today, so much so I am not even going to start with an introduction paragraph, let's just get down to it! Boys lacrosse is the top story from last night. If you have not guessed it from his photograph, they won last night! They are champions of their league! Remember last year they got beat by grafton in the championship? Well this year grafton did not even make this far? Were they even in the playoffs? Tabb was, and beat everyone to get in the championship. In this game they beat Grassfield 12 to 4. This was a very successful club year. The overall record of the boys was 15-1...and I do not believe it ends here. I think there is some type of state tournament like next or something. Much congrats to boys lacrosse, you deserve it, yet another fantastic season. When you becoming an official sport already?...spring was not the best for tabb : / ....as for the girls, I found it more about their situation, though most lacrosse people probably already know....they loss last friday in the playoffs against cox,  9 to 8...but it was a close game...and the games are not over yet, they are in the Williamsburg Jamboree playing york, grafton, williamsburg, and maury all day today starting at 8. If you love lacrosse this is for you! Anyhow, good job to both teams, it was a great season, just keep on keepin' it up! ...oh, but I will say grassfield may have a better mascot name...the grizzlies! That's awesome!

ALSO

I guess I forgot about this...or just did not know it was going on (like so many things!)...I assumed the boys soccer district tournament was going to start sooner or later and it did last night. The boys are the 2nd seed, so I guess this game was at home and it was against the 7th seed, warhill. The higher ranking really showed. Tabb won 7 to 1. The first half looked close though, at half time it was 2 to 1, but in the second half tabb sunk 5 goals, making it nearly impossible for warhill to catch up. These goals were contributed by Admiral Adam, Herald Harvey, General Jansen, and Major Maw, like he always does, scored on multiple occasions, this time being 3! Instead of major, how about MVP Maw! All that, I know, equals 6, but hr varsity must've forgotten someone, but with assists we have Adam Parker with one, Sergent Sutton with 2, Riha got one, and even the MVP contributed with that one. That was boys soccer last, they did pretty good! Umm....I am not too entirely sure when the next game is, but girls play Tuesday, so I will say Wednesday...and it will be against...I don't know...York?...Lafayette?...I'll find out, good job for now guys...and in brief girls soccer news, the rematch with grafton is coming....

TODAY

The base sports district tourney begins today....but only one of our base sports made the cut. As I feared baseball did not finish well enough to make the top 8, still you guys had a great season...trust me you'll do better next season. Let york, grafton, ad warhill sort things out on their own! Our softball team made it in, I thought we had the 7th seed, but I guess a team did a little bit better than us and now we are the 8th. We are still in it. The 8th seed has the most work to do, I mean we have to face the #1 seed...Poquoson. We could make jokes, but they are good, they are #1. This game is going to be special, an upset special. Underdogs, everyone looks like 'em, so tabb is going to give the people what they like....except we are more like undercats...and if we do good enough we will be thundercats...but wait for tthat! Tabb softball will not be playing softly with the Saint, Bentley the beamer, Burnette the bomber, Mur the Blur, Nitro Nicollete, Caution Crawford, and so many more, we are in the playoffs nothing can stop us. What are seeds? Tabb is planting one, a plant called winning, and it is growing this afternoon! Today at 11 at Poquoson, be there or be lame. Good luck girls!

SCHEDULE

As you can see we are a little bit busy tomorrow, but we got the stuff you need today! There is still a schedule for the week...there is not as much things going as usual, but we still have enough, and these few games are more important as usual...it is the playoffs. Do not fall into seniorities or be taken by the summer already, there are still games to be played and watched...plus you guys still got tests on the way. Anyhow, here is what you can expect this week...and as weeks come by, they will have less and less on them...so make the games while you can....but, yeah, here is this week's schedule...

MONDAY: senior athletic awards banquet at 6:30

TUESDAY: girls soccer against grafton at 7:30*; boys occer district semifinal at 7:30 (I found out the day, not the team yet!)

WEDNESDAY: NOTHING!!

THURSDAY: boys soccer district finals at 8:15 at the wjcc; girls soccer final at 6 at the wjcc; track regionals AT culpepper

FRIDAY: NOTHING!!

SATURDAY:  softball car wash at 10

Yeah, that is what is going on this week, I know it does not seem like much, but it is much, trust me....so be apart of the final weeks of sports...the more successful we get the further away the games will be at...so make the close games when you can...which is like Tuesday...

GOLFIN'

Hip
So tomorrow there is a golf event that helps the tabb athletic booster club and will be played at kiskiack or however you spell it. There happened like in the fall. I put together the most elite team I could...but things did not work so well in the end and everyone bailed out and the tabb sports blog team was an embarrassment. That is why this time I am not even going to bother. The tabb blog will be represented, but not by me. I put someone in charge of the team, and that person is, The Tabb Blog Hipster. This is her elite team of hipster....who I guess are good at golf? Either way I do not think they really care. This team does look pretty boss. If you see a team tomorrow just doing their own thing and not really going by any real rules...that is the tabb blog team! I know the tabb blog hipster could help out in more ways than one...so, yes, golf, tomorrow I think these guys have it all in the hole....I think their team name is like Warren Aberys.

A special shoutie congratulating Micah Hanks for being named distract track athlete of the year! Good luck to softball and girls lacrosse and tabb hipster golf team, good job to lacrosse and boys soccer, and everyone have a good day. That is it, be back tomorrow, it is going to be another fast week, and soon none will be left...but until then I am still here. Come back tomorrow... someone. Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

GREAT

Today is just a great day. It is friday, exams finally finish, we have some great results, a few things are going on tonight and tomorrow, I found some results we did not previously, and just the weekend. It seems like things should be ending, but we still got a few things...and then school will be over. Years always go by fast. Anyhow, we got some goods for you, so how about you stick around and read...I mean I have to have somebody read...so how about it be you...okay, we here go...reading?...you better be! Okay, now, start!

DISTRICT RESULTS

I am just going to start with girls soccer...it was more than a usual competition, not take anything away from track...maybe I should have just not explained myself and just start. Hey, it was the first game of the district tournament, though it began kinda slow, by the end it was the usual tabb girls soccer score 5-1. The field got all Jazzed up last night. Bri Jasenak got the ball in the net 4 times. Assists were by Rachel Brewer twice and one by Erin Fenton...and one Bri did not need an assist for a goal. The Brew-Thru came again to the goal, but this time it was not for an assist, but her very own goal. That goal's assist was by Ally Harmtz. I know poquoson got that one goal...but it is okay...again we had five! I told you this game was going to go well. Now on to the semi-finals. Who is in the next game against our tabb girls soccer? It depends who wins the grafton-lafayette game. Uh oh, grafton rematch? That was our only tie and in this tournament we cannot have ties...so we it could be a great game...but we will have to see what happens tonight. The next game is on Tuesday like at 7, the usual time, and yeah. So good job tabb soccer, keep on with it,  and a virtual high-five to Mr. High-Five...forgot to do that last night...

In other district competitions I was at the track districts yesterday. I saw all the great athletes on the team. Joe Nelson, Junio, and everyone else. It was great! I can tell you tabb girls came in 2nd overall and boys in 5th...so in both we were in the top 5.  Look for many names from tabb to appear in regionals. There is always so much results to write out, so a few are, Joe Nelson finishing 2nd in the disk throwing, Micah Hanks finishing 2nd in the 100 meter dash and first in thee 200 meter dash, Leigh Ann Soitsmann finished first in the 800 meter dash,  Dave Camarillo go first for the 400 meter dash, Finkenauer got 3rd on the 800, Jermaine Simms got 3rd on the 300 hurdles, and because there is just so much results got go here:  http://va.milesplit.com/meets/112544/results/202304/print  That should be everything. It is swell seeing everyone and having so many athletes do good, now off to regionals...which are?...I will let you know....for not good job track, you have been running through my mind ever since...get it? Like track...okay...

FINALS

Tonight there are finals going on for lacrosse. I know the boys are in it, but I guess the girls are in it too.  I have not heard much from them, but their calendar says they play tonight. All those games they play tomorrow are apart of some jamboree. The finals are at Dre Bly field in VA Beach...all the other games were at CNU, so you missed out on those! They play at 6, who are they playing? I have no idea...but go out and see for yourself...but they have been doing so good they are in the finals...so it sounds good to me. I have high hopes for them. I know the boys play tonight at 7:30 in the same place and I know who they are playing, Grassfield. It is a lame name for a school, what did they do? Just look at the ground? It will also be a lame game for them...well tabb lacrosse beat them pretty badly last time, what 13-1...so I think our boys got. Yo, are we going for double wins? Double championships? Our lacrosse always do good every year and now they are finishing up like they usually do. Pay attention to them already! Every year since their existence lacrosse has ended as champions...well pretty much...so much luck tonight lacrosse. There is no club like tabb lacrosse...join in already, tonight beginning at 6 in VA Beach.

ELECTIONS UPDATE

Cc
This is his weakest poster, probably because we cannot see his face, but we are still campaigning for 4.7. I think voting has already taken place....or will do so really soon? Okay, I found out prom king has already been voted off! I hope my stance on Junio worked...it seems as if we were a little late...so I do not want to be late on this. Croom, still in it, put in a vote whenever you can, however you can, anyway you can, I might be late, so do what you can to vote....and also do the same for Andrew Junio....vote anyway you can. I found 4.7 being very successful so far, so let us just got with it already. I have dedicated most f my week to this, so this better work out! I am finished with promoting, I got all stuff to get to...so to let you be aware one more time, vote Croom, 4.7, and Junio for king, no matter if polls have closed or not, this is America, voting never stops! I hope this all works out...do not embarrass me in my endorsements!...and good luck guys!

I went to say good job to all jv sports, The season is over for you guys, which is a bummer, but you guys all did great. You are the future. The other day smithfield baseball 7 to 3 and lafayette beat tabb boys tennis 5 to 3...so maybe itr was a good thing that I did not have these results the other day. This is it tonight...Tabbapoolza is tonight...so rock out, I think it is at 7...and shouties wishing everyone good luck you plays tonight...which is just lacrosse. Lacrosse jamboree and baseball/softball district tourney tomorrow...so will have that stuff tomorrow. Have a good one, good weekend, and let it all be great. See ya! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

BE KICKIN' IT

Yeah, it is Bentley...like the Beamer...the one from softball...who really said that sports was over? We still got it...like so many other sports. It ain't over until we say it is over...or until the team has no games left. Districts are this friday...and so many other sports got districts starting earlier. Yeah man, we are in the post...it is big time now. All game can lead to a championship...but also could lead to a finish. It really is a win/lose situation....but the tabb blog is here, so that is a win....speaking of which, let's start it...now...

LAST NIGHT

Again, there is not much here...but boys soccer did play a game that did not matter too much. I mean they are still in regionals even if they loss. Northampton has no connection to our district...in fact I do not think they are even AA. Practice makes perfect. Their district tournament will be coming soon enough...just wait. But last night was a 3-0 win, 2 by Maw one by Jansen. Another thing that took place last night...or day was tennis districts. The rain had delayed the districts very greatly. The only news that I have coming out of this is all about Jamestown, soooooo...yeah...but I never doubt Chiraag Shetty, I think he is in at least...like he always is! To end this very lackluster paragraph boys lacrosse played in their league semi-finals last ngight...though the score is not up, there is indication that they are in the finals. Hickory was not the old type and was weak. The finals are friday in VA Beach on Dre Bly Field...and after that game they go to another playoff or something...I don't know, the challenge is to find someone who can even come close to beating our club team...so few have done it! Congrats to all these teams...though I did not have any scores, I think i managed to give out some good results.

TODAY

It is all about districts...and they are starting early...like before school gets out. At 12:10 pm at bailey field, track districts kick of...or run...whatever related verb you can think. Sure, maybe we have not had too many of their results this year, but I did not realize who was on the team, it is an all-star cast, all from different sports from Junio to Fikenhauer to Joe Nelson to Leigh Ann Soitsmann, I have mentioned many of these names in the past...and now they all reunite! Though there is Commander Curren, this team just does their own thing. Expect much and hope results are posted...actually I know where to go...anyhow, try to get out early and go to york high school to see track do their thing, because I am sure you have done so all year...I have haven't! Much luck goes out to the team. To continue this district action, come out to tabb high school at 7. The girls did not need to play last night, they finished all their games and now are in their district tournament. it starts tonight and ends next Thursday, yeah it takes up two week, it is weird...it should be a good game. It is the first round, so I am not expecting anything super difficult in this game. The tigers should breeze on through, we beat poquson like for the past 5 years. Anything can happen...but not yet. All these have been preparing for this game, B-jazz, the F-bomb, L-will, A-crow...everyone! The post starts now...so make sure you are there tonight at 7 and today at 12:10, to see how tabb does in the non-regular season, probably not so regular...be there or be studying!

KING

Jjjj
I told you I would write about this like once a week and here we are again. Junio has gotten countless number of messages and calls all concerning prom. They are about people announcing they have his vote for prom, others are asking him to promote their prom product, and others...I believe are possible dates...oww...Junio does not even need to do much, people ask him or tell him stuff! I think this campaign is becoming even more successful...but we need to up the anity even more...so just vote now. Do not wait to be told, send your votes to whoever it concerns in the school and let it be known, it is all about who-KNEE-Oh! Forget the nomination committee, we all know who is going to get the win in this race...by the way I think Andrew (Junio) is in the track districts today, so who this commotion is all about. You know who the best, I do not even need to say it. Prom king is all Junio's thing...vote Andrew Junio for tabb high 2012 prom king....do it...do it NOW!!

Hey, this is  the end of everything. Alot more is coming...like exams are finished with tomorrow....but soon enough SOLs will be here and then finals...the tests keep on coming! Also, if you do not like sports at all, there is a middle school concert in the tabb high auditorium tonight. Great people have come from that middle school band...like me! I played bass drum, triangle, and chair...playing chair means you sit down and watch everyone else play!I think that is like at 7...good luck to all teams tonight, to my mom to keep safe in Spain, and to have a good day to all...I am  earlier today...and will be tomorrow, stick around! See ya then! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

Hey, we made it up...a little later than usual...but we are here! Things have just been crazy lately - writing paper, being done with the semester, summer beginning, my mom going to Spain (all wish her safe travels),  some kid went missing around the county, but was just hiding in a truck or something, it rained, it is going to rain again, ap exams are still being taken...when are things going to slow down?...oh yeah...when school ends...less than a month, but we got things for ya...so stay here. What things? Well, here is today's load...

SHAME

That is what it is...the situation we have here is not that the baseball and softball games were so bad they were shameful...in fact we do not even have their score to know that. It was the final game of the season and it was not even reported. I swear the daily press needs more sports reporters...I mean I have a pretty good resume'....but I do good to school 2 1/2 hours away....anyhow, this game is not the finale...no, wait there's more...the district tournament is coming up! Depending on how well you perform there determines how successful your postseason. Nobody thought tabb baseball was any good last year...and they won the tourney...the question is, did we make it? The tourney includes the top 8 team...I have a good feeling for softball...but baseball is on the fence. I know softball is #7 in the district, maybe 8th now, but we are still in it (to win it)...but baseball...eeck...I'll get back to you on them. As for last nugget I am just going to say it was huge win for both. Baseball got it by 5-0, Buffkin pitched a no-no and got two ho-hos (homeruns) with Freedman got a run in and a double, Gore got a run in, and Hammerin' Harley got himself a ho-ho as well. Maybe...5-0 is not huge, but is still a win and it was a good game. Softball won by 6-0 Murray got 3 runs in and a triple, St. John got a run in, and the Bomber exploding balls to the outfield getting 2 runs in...and those were the games yesterday...as I heard 'em. It is not over yet, the dt is coming on saturday, the swan has not has his song yet, and exams are over by then...so be sure you are there or you will be lame!

RAIN?

We have games going on tonight, like 3o minutes to an hour when I am writing this, but will they really be going on? All I am saying is, it looks as if it is going to rain any second outside and the field maybe as wet from yesterday's rain...also it is humid as hell outside, it is going to suck to play in...I use to think humid was pronounced human, it was weird in certain situations...anyhow,  we got 2 things going on this evening, one far one close...they are: boys soccer at northampton. The boys soccer has been playing so well they are in regionals already...but they gotta play this game to increase their record, take on a variety of teams...win or lose they are still in their position....but we would al prefer the win still. I think northampton is kinda far, but the Q boys, Admiral Adam, Major Maw, Herald Harvey (he got promoted too), and the entire team will make it worthwhile. Tonight at 7 in northampton, eb there or be studyin'! Then our next game is boys lacrosse, They are at cnu, playing at the next level...or just a field for the next level. The guys are in the semi-finals. They are playing hickory, who they beat 14-0 nothing like a week ago...why are we even playing this game?! It is another tabb lacrosse champion team...how about you watch 'em play...trust me it is going to be a win. I guess I should just say, see them in the finals on friday. It is tonight and friday at 7, tabb's most successful club....so be there or be studying!

DISTRICT TIME

Yeah, that is where we are at in spring sports. Some are just now finishing up or have one more game left, but then there are those who are ready to play now!...like girls soccer...their district game starts tomorrow at 7 at tabb. They will be playing poquson...who...let me think...yeah they beat...but anything can happen in districts. I am not sure if bulls can beat tigers, but I think tigers can beat eagles, but we gotta get there first. The tournament kicks off (get it?...soccer humor!) tomorrow and then continues on to tuesday and next thursday...so this time next week we could be discussing the team in the final...but, yeah first thing is first...poquoson. I never give up on girls soccer...Chandler the Handler, B-Jazz, Hawk Harmatz, Deadly Diana...they are all good, the entire team...so come out tomorrow to see the start of many more games to arrive...tomorrow at 7 at home, be there or be studying. If you are busy at night, we have some day action, at 12:10, there are track districts...they go on allll day....and this track team is pretty stacked! Junio, Joe Nelson, Commander Curren, Soitsmann, Katie the Ranger, Fikenhauer, Fun Jello!,...the team just sounds good to me...so make sure you go see them tomorrow, right in time for a lunch break, 12:10, be there or be in school!

CAMPAIGN

Crr
I am great at campaigning, I will overkill, overkill, overkill...it is not that bad of a statergy. People will remember the candidate and vote for them, hoping I'll shut up about them as a result. Here is something you may not know about 4.7, he is actually a vhsl state champion...yes, it is in debate, but it still counts. He can get his letterman jacket. When these debates approach Croom is going to shine. He practically does this for a living. I hope it gets record, I want to see the quivers in the others' faces. He is a state champion, is a well-documented genius, is on this blog, loves bacon...what more do you want? I do not know when election day is, but here is just a friendly reminder, vote for the guy who can out smart everyone in the room, he goes by the name Mitchell Croom...we are working on the slogan...remember, Croom making a boom...better? Just when you vote, vote for him...and yes more reminders as the week goes on...

Hey, we are done...so what more can I say? Shouties wishing all teams good luck tonight, safe travels to my mother going to Spain walking that trail...see you in 6 weeks...actually 2 months :/ , good job baseball and softball...I know it is not over, and everyone have a good rest of the day...which is like 4 hours or so...be here earlier tomorrow, I hope you will be too...okay bye now! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

ONE MONTH

As you are taking your government exam or french exam, just recall this fact...school is finished in a month. Actually, graduation is in one month...so if that counts as school, there is just not much left...and I guess that includes this blog too. Not just on this blog, but in school and life in general alot will be enstore (use that word correctly?)...do not set it aside just yet. Also, I cannot help on your exams today...trust I do not do government too well...and I only speak English...so you have come to the wrong guy. I thought we were here to have fun? I got that for ya...just skip to that? Okay...

LAST NIGHT

I don't know, there was not much going on. I hear the concert was nice and...well I don't know about the meeting...the booster club meets in secrecy...oh, but there was one thing that happened, lacrosse playoffs. The score was never posted, but a new game was added...we are in the semis!! Like I said, there was no doubt boys lacrosse was not going to win. You realize adding all their scores together this season probably runs past 100. The next game is at CNU again at 7:30...maybe 7 even...but is against Hickory, who we played about a week or so ago and won 14-0....so I guess we will see you in the finals on Friday!! I do not think this playoff system is for the girls. Girls lacrosse seems to have their own thing going. They play Friday and Saturday, and on saturday they have like 4 games all at the Warhill Sports Complex. They face everyone, grafton, york, williamsburg! (their only defeat), maury...so instead of having this week long playoff system, they are just getting it done in one day! Congrats to the boys success...but the girls' is coming, just wait for it.  If you like tabb wins and lacrosse then tomorrow night at 7:30 at cnu come see tabb boys lacrosse chop down hickory, be there or be studying.

ONE

Today the word...or number one can mean many things. There is ONE game left, you have ONE more opportunity, this team is around ONE last time...all of this number talk is concerning baseball and softball. This is the final game of the season....there is the district tournament...but I am not too sure how if both our teams will make it in...in some regards this is last call. Last call is though, last dance - everyone remembers it! The only disappointing part of this last game of the season is, it is all the way down (or up?) at smithfield. You will have to do some driving to see it...but if you have not seen a game this season, I believe it is worth while. If you have not seen the Little Giant stand tall for baseball or the Bombers exploded a ball for softball or Freedman doing so good in baseball it is freaky or Kayla St. Johnn, one of the top softball pitchers in the bay rivers and she plays for tabb...where have you been? It has been a great season! Don't kick yourself for not being apart of it....and hope both our base sports teams make it inthe district tournament. Why end it all know? We did it last year, time to go on a streak!!...winning streak...today at 4:30 at smithfield baseball and softball play, try to make it at least...there are some with no exams, because these teams can be compared to no ONE!

SENIORS

I did not forget about you track team... I mean I did not really know when your meets really were...but I know guys did good. As you can see the team was packed with seniors, I do not think I can name all of them...but big names are her...I mean King Junio!!! (too soon?), Joe Nelson, Commander Curren, Leigh Ann Soitsmann, Trent Moon (still the best name in tabb sports, we are in talks for a liqour name use...once he turns 21), Katie the Ranger, Fikenhauer, Sutton,...you want all the names? Okay, try to find these people...Graham Young, Jesse Sledge, Kimani Iesha, John Silveria, Shane Le Vie, Kelly Viken, Libby Howe, Sam Funjello (fun jello!!), and Jessica Reed...alotta names I do not know...but should I guess...especially fun jello! That's great!...but they are not done yet...districts are on thursday...I swear I have not heard about any of their meets all season and I will be home...so maybe I'll hit it up...I mean there is Junio!, Joe Nelson, Soitsmann, and Fun Jello...I have been missing out! It is during the day...but it is just in time for the lunch break, thursday at 12:10 at bailey, be there...or be taking an exam...or be in class...be at work...this team sounds pretty awesome though. Also, I am not done with the photos...I got a few for track and a few from girls soccer senior night, click and they will become larger...

Remember to click on them, and they (I did not need that comma did I?) will become larger. These are really great pics, they may reappear in the near future...oh, and if you have any senir pics or just any tabb sports pics in general, send them to phillipsma@verizon.net

Hmmm...is this it for today? Kinda, soccer game tomorrow for boys at northampton...soccer district tournament should start soon...and tennis districts finish up today...hopefully some of our own are still left...well we know Chiraag is! What more can I say? Good job lacrosse...keep on studying kids....and have a good day. I am still here...for a month...or a few days less...but tomorrow I will still be here, see ya then! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

One month left means...back to quotes!

ALRIGHTY

I gotta get going today, hopefully I can finish this before I leave...or finish it when I get back up at school. I have an exam to take tomorrow...and I know many of you right now are enjoying biology at the moment...and soon physics or mechanics...today is just a fun day for exam. I do not think we had mechanics back in my day...but it sound enjoyable, even the exam...maybe not...but we are all about fun here...so forgot your exams for a bit and enjoy some insight on tabb sports...startinngggggggg.....NOW!

NOT TONIGHT

There are things going on tonight....but none are really sports related...except the athletic booster club meeting. I am sure if you are apart of that, you know. Also, there is jazz choir concert tonight, which will be as good as any sport...and there is music that accompanies it.  When it comes to actual sports going on, the closet one is baseball and softball tomorrow.  I believe this is the last game for them in the regular season...we are not quite sure about the tournament yet. I guess I should be sayin'....LAST CHANCE!! This maybe your last chance to see baseball or softball play this year. After a long rigorous schedule filled with glorified accomplishments and some heart ache, we have reached the end...maybe not end fully...but we do not know yet. Both these teams have been playing their fullest for you, the fans. Be sure to stop and give them the support they need...they deserve it. Do not be kickin' yourself because you missed some incredible teams play. It will be worth it. There is one thing...the game is AT smithfield...but it is the last one....c'mon. If this  the last team we see this team, then be it...but there are not many seniors...so it's not going to be too sad. But yeah, who knows what is coming after this, so make this one, and let thes teams know they are appreciated. Tomorrow at 4:30 at smithfield, be there or be studying.

I LIED

I said there was no sports going tonight...technically no...but there is lacrosse. It is a no still...because it is still not a school sport...no offense...too harsh? Okay, a school sport is playing...probably one of the most successful sports this season. Lacrosse is already in their playoffs in their league. I know boys are playing...I am not sure about the girls...but it is quarterfinals this evening. The guys are playing Kellam. Um...what can I really say about this game? Or these playoffs? Well, lacrosse has blown out every team they faced in the regular season...so now we are in the post I do not see any difference here. Hey, let me just say now, we'll see this team on friday. They did it last year, actually loss, so this year they are making up for it all around. It all starts tonight at 7:30 at CNU (nice field, college too, it's big time!!)....and girls...their final is suppose to be friday, so I think they are playing also tonight? Two playoff games for the price of....nothing? Lacrosse is awesome...oh, and it is particularly in a stadium...it is going to be really super fun....like this blog....so you know how it is, be there or be studying...be at that jazz choir concert..

PREDICTIONS

Monkey
Whatever Popcorn, we found a cooler animal to give us sports predictions. It is a monkey!! Everyone loves monkeys...I do not know if we can say the same thing about cats! It is almost human...but he is not trying to take the blog from me! Sure, he maybe a little more dirty, but because he is so close to a human, his predictions he will probably be more accurate. Also, get this Popcorn...he has thumbs...best animal ever! Hopefully, me and Popcorn's court case will dissolve soon, but for now we have a monkey...where can we go wrong? How about we just by seeing his picks...here they are...

Bruton 7   New Kent 3

Poquoson 5   Lafayette 3

York 12   Grafton 10

Warhill 6   Jamestown 3

Tabb 1000000   Smithfield

Wow, is that a million to tabb? Wow, this monkey really loves tabb...can we say the same about Popcorn? I don't know....he is suing the school's blogger. Forget him, we got a monkey. We are at new level now...this just means good stuff is coming...no really...

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Tennis - for doing good on a day where they were at only sport going on

Diana Kinney - for being back playing...I just noticed this week...

Softball - for beating Grafton!!

The Tabbsters - for keeping tabb safe!

HONORABLE MENTION: All taking ap exams...it is almost over with.

Did I forgot someone? Let it be known!

ELECTIONS

Coom
Last year I did support a campaign briefly...it was not too much...but Little Quintana did win...so this year I can do the same...and this year I have a personal friend. Remember 4.7, do you know we have not heard from him in awhile? He was been raising money for his campaign and getting ready. You gotta vote for him, he is a genius. Trust me 4.7 knows what he is doing....he has been on his future predictions of the future...I think these posters are just future information. I do not know when voting starts, but as students you should....I think...well when it happens just look for Croom (not 4.7)....but, yeah, I believe everything he says....even when he is not witty. And no itty remarks from him until he wins...so this is our promising candidate...he will change the world...he already has. It is your right to vote...I am voting absentee myself! So Croom for President '12-'13....as for prom king...we'll let focus on the presidency this year...this is the year of Junio when it comes to prom king!

Hey, guys this is it....I really do gotta go....so I do not have my shouties to give out...umm...good luck lacrosse, jazz choir, and everyone else, vote, and monkeys are awesome! See you tomorrow...exams are almost done...I think...I don't know...I am out...see ya tomorrow. Good bye. Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

MOMS THE WORD

Yeah, I am up with a new entry....you thought I took the day off? I am not a mother. I guess today is a day all moms relax and...read the tabb sports blog? That is what I hear is a good way to celebrate...we do not have too much mom stuff...I mean a big thanks to all...okay we do not have much of any stuff. I mean it is a sunday...a slow sunday...but we will make do. It is still a busy...and school is not over...I know...anyhow we got ya tabb blog entry, so here it is...

Some teams have district tournaments while others have a few games left...and a few more just be over with...but we still got stuff on our schedule...and that includes ap exams...I told you they weren't over. It looks like a busy week...maybe not all for sports...but there is plenty of fun stuff to do...so join us...or be lam....I guess i still can't say that...well you better be studying!

FOR A DAD

Tttj
I know it is Mother's Day...and we do not want to take away from that at all...but the school  does not include father's day...so I won't be around to write anything. So today we would just to honor a guy, who techically is not a dad...we think?, but there maybe a few look up to him as one. It is Coach Ryan, and, now he is not admiring a gorgeous sunset...he is just still on house arrest due to all his drug charges....but it is okay. The last time we heard from him he was helping out the boys soccer team. He reviews video tapes and suggests where they could improve...it seems his suggestions are working...because boys soccer is getting better. They finished 2nd in the district, maybe have berth in regionals, which I feel some credit should be given to Coach Ryan, for once, I guess he is good at something. What is your secret?

"A huge bag of we..."

OKay we are cutting you off there. It seems like things never change for Coach Ryan...but he is off house arrest on June 1st...so watch out...if you do good enough, boys soccer, "daddy" can finally come to your game. Good job this season boys soccer.

FOR A MOM

Map
What is this map all for? This is my mother's trip, she is leaving on Wednesday for Spain and she is walking this here trail on this map. It is called the camino de santiago. It is like one the most inspiration pilgramages you can walk. It will take her six weeks. I know my mom is taking a vacation without me...all I got is summer school! But she deserves, look at her son, and she does have a job and stuff...it is good to get away. Many think she is crazy for just going to Spain like this...but that is how my mom is, she does what her heart desires. I think we should all wish her safe travels and not to be abducted or anything. The trail is an amazing accomplishment...but it just list of things she has done...my birth is one, yes! I have quite a busy situation this summer, I probably won't see her for like 2 months nearly, it is going to be like she is dead almost...that came out wrong. I did not get my mom to write this entry this year...it is meant for moms to relax not write blogs...she kinda ghostwrote last year anyway...but happy mothers day mom...and I know every is wishing you safe travels. Love ya!

Well...ah...I guess this is kinda it...happy mothers day to all moms, not just mine. Also, I am not too sure how tennis did yesterday...but I assume good...their finals are coming up this week. Everyone's finals are...is it ending so soon? Hey, we are still here...more can happen in a month than you think...but for now have a good day and I'll see you tomorrow...okay, bye...yep short entry today...considering what is going on this last month, short maybe the new thing...we'll see! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The Tabb blog has no mother unless it considers me a woman.

FINISHED

I finished my essay...but not the tabb sports blog yet...so time for that now...then I will be done with the computer for the day...until I make revisions on my paper...gotta make it perfect guys! As you probably already know, I was wrong about ap exam week, it is far from over. There is still another week...why do we call it week then? It is ap exam weeks! Do we have enough ap classes already? Quincy maybe dead again! ...don't worry about all of this until Monday, right now we are all about fun, like we always have been. We have much news to bring to you...most good...so get ready...and let me finish writing for the day already....please!

SOCCER SENIORS

Soccer last night was all about the seniors...girls soccer actually had their ceremony (pictures coming soon!) and well I forgot about the boys...so on this blog we are honoring both...but first let's go over the girls game. They made senior night worthwhile and exciting beating smithfield 5-0...and jv won 6-0 too! I said smithfield was not going to be too difficult. The goals were scored by the  Hawk Harmatz, the Mac-Donald, the O, and the Jazz. Assists were by Jasenak to Omweg's goal and MacDonald to Jasenak's last minute goal, which I think gives her two goals...that does equal 5. It was a good game and so many people were there...like me!! I said earlier in the week these games bring surprises! I was happy to finally see a game and even happier it was a big win. I am out of town until Wednesday...so I will be back during the district tournament...hopefully the championship game!! Okay for now here are the names of all girls soccer seniors, there are 7 I believe...I hope I remember all of 'em!

  • Briana Jasenak
  • Chandler Wingreen
  • Diana Kinney
  • Sydney Omweg
  • Allison Crow
  • Hollie MacDonald
  • Lexi Williams

I believe I got everyone I got everyone. I know you all had a great senior night and congrats to you and all your accomplishments. I am glad of all the games i could make, it was this night! Congrats to all you and your futures...and now it is off to the district tournament! We are a #2...soon to be a #1!

The boys did just as well...sure it was not a blow-out win 5-0, but it was still a win for them. At halftime the score was o-o, but bu the game over it was 2-1. It was a challenging game, but tabb boys soccer always does good in those. The goals were made by, like always, Reily Maw, and Jacob Quesenbury. Adam Parker got 4 saves too...so it looks like everyone did good, didn't they? My news I hear is tabb boys soccer has the #2 seed in the district tournament and may even have a spot in region secured...not so bad after starting so slow. I guess the boys tournament does not start exactly as the time as the girls. The guys still have to play Northampton like on Tuesday...so I mean it is coming, but you have to wait for it...it will be a good wait. Anyhow, let me announce the seniors of tabb boys soccer

  • Dillon Jansen
  • Tyler Evans
  • Caleb Quesenbury
  • Ben Harvey
  • Eric Riha
  • Adam Parker

Congrats to you guys...even though your senior night was not last night...but before...I just did not pay attention to realize...and no one told me! But much congrats to you guys and all you decide to do in your future. I apologize for missing your night, still you guys...you know Adam. Anyhow, last year's seniors brought the team to the state semi-finals...so the question is...is the class of 2012 bring us to the state final?

I WISH

I do wish alot...but sometime I wish we could have all our results in one day...it would be almost perfect...but alas it never seems to really work out that way, does it? I do not have the baseball or softball results from yesteray. They played warhill at home even....and still nothing. Game coverage has so much competition...the bigger the game the more coverage it gets...and tabb base sports does not fit the criteria, I guess. Hey, softball beat Grafton and baseball keeps on doing better and better...we need some respect. In these situations you know I just make crap up...so let me say baseball won with a whomping score 9-0, Freedman got a triple with 2 runs, Gore got a double with 2 runs, Page had a homer, and Bufkin got a grand slam...yes the pitcher...it was an incredible game and warhill is like #2 in the district. Softball was about the same except it was 6-0. St. John pitched a no-no, also scoring 2 runs in, Murray got 2 homers, and Crawford hit a homer, and Nicollette scoring the winning run in. It was also a miraculous game...maybe someone should be there reporting on them...okay I know not everyone can be...like me...but watch out tabb baseball and softball, they mean business. They still have a few more games left, so you have a few more chances to see them...so good job baseball and softball...you'll make  hrvarsity next time.

RIGHT ON!

Dk

It is a thumbs up accomplishment Diana. I have been gone for awhile. The last time I was around Diana Kinney was sitting on the bench for girls basketball. I thought she was going to do the same for girls soccer. I was not sure how her situation was...but last night she was on the field. She had a brace on, but it did not slow her down. I do not know how long she has been back playing, but glad to see her back playing. A year on a bench is a  bummer for senior...did Deadly Diana...I have been waiting to use that all year! So...yeah...good stuff...and the girls did win 5-0...so tell me Diana does not have an effect! It is good to have you back Diana, I mean you rather see you play than hear your jokes, no offense,...okay I can tell one for old time's sake

What is brown and sticky? A stick

Okay, yeah, just stick to playing soccer again. Congrats on senior night again, your return, and I do not know if we ever shared with with everyone, but Diana will be attending the University of Virginia. I hear she wants to be a vet...Popcorn maybe not like you anymore...

Tennis has it's districts today, it started at 4, so it is probably over by now. Stop by Huntington Park to check....but not at night! Good job at all teams  that played yesterday. It was a good tabb night/afternoon. More and more will be coming....stick with us...I am done, have a good one. Be back tomorrow...and so will you, it is a demand, so do it!! Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The tabb blog always has the score, real or not.

05/11/2012

UGGH?

I don't know if I can really say uggh? I mean your exams are finished today....sure you still have take it...but there are no more to take after this...I think? My uggh is just for school work I need to do. Anyhow, I told you the week will go by fast. Just remember all your history, American and European, and you will be fine. Don't expect real facts on here...you are taking the test right now anyway! We are still having fun and what else do you need after taking all these exams? It is done...soon... the next test won't be until like SOL week...or finals....or the blog tests (coming soon)...but  focus on this week, we be done...but not with sports! See for yourself...

GOOD AGAIN

Tennis had a match again yesterday....and it was just them. No other sport had a fame yesterday. The whole day was their....did they step up to the opportunity? The answer to that question is yes. I am going to be honest, I do not have the boys score...which is weird because they were at home...but at least we have the girls score, which is good as I stated. They beat warhill 6 to 3. I believe thta is a big win in the world of tennis. They did do it, the double win! It was an impressive on many levels. Individual scores look as follows: Powerful Purdy beat Gruendl 6-0, 6-0;  Graceful Gaudette beat Turner 6-1, 6-1;  Sink 'em Sandford deafeated  Tolley 6-2, 6-2. Doubles: the Hogge-the Purdy took down Byrd-Gruendl 8-2; the Hendrons beat Richard-Jessman 8-2;  Crackin' Craig-Killer Krist defeated Turner-Kim 8-3...and that is tennis. I am sure the boys finished in a similar manner. This is it...the tennis regular season has ended...and did so on a good note....but do not worry it is not finished entirely. Playoffs start tomorrow, districts at Hunting Park beginning at 9, going alllll day long. Can we build on this success and keep this tabb tennis train on track (too many t's there!)...find out tomorrow. Good job tennis, by the end of this season, everyone knows you are a sport worth competing with. Tomorrow 9, Hunting Park, be there or be lame!

TODAY'S STUFF

First let me clarify, it is friday, so the weekend is upon us. There is no school tomorrow or the next day, so if there are anymore exams to be taken, you have enough time to get your study on. Therefore, the possibility of being lame is back. You were safe for one week , but now, no excuses! Girls soccer plays tonight against Smithfield . It is the last game of the regular season, the district tourney starts like Monday....so if you never came out to a game this year, do so tonight. Do not join the bandwagon right when they get hot in the post, that is lame. These girls have been doing good all season long. There is only one team, who shall remain nameless...for now, who beat us...so I am not too scared of smithfield's chances. It is also senior night...there quite a few...considering there were none last year....I'll have a full list tomorrow. So, yeah, it is a big game tonight, last one - senior night - a win...so what more do you need? The JV kicks off at 5:30 and varsity at 7....so...I am going to say it...if you are not there, you are lame, sir!

Boys are playing too...and I realize if this is the last game of the season, I think I missed their senior night! No one ever let's me know about these things! Fine! I am lame on my part for not realizing it...but I will make it up. Tomorrow on this blog will just be all about the seniors of tabb soccer...and all other sports I forgot. Anyhow, tonight the boys are away, of course, and at smithfield. The 'field son! Out there they have pork roasts all the time....which is fitting because someone will be roasting tonight...and I do not mean tabb! Our boys soccer has improved much this season...at the beginning I was not too sure...but now I can say we are a contender in this soon to be tournaments. They have lost some battles, but also won some...probably more than loss by now. This team has really put themselves together...like...well...a team. Thanks Adam Parker...okay thanks to all...I just still be lovin' some A-Park. He is an honorary member of the Tabbsters...he is a senior too...no!! I can't see him go yet!...nevermind my troubles, do not see this team go yet, you never know what can happen in tournaments, so see them when it is guaranteed, tonight at 7 at smithfield, be there or, yes, be lame!

No, we are not done yet...two more games are going on...at the same time. You know how our base sports work. Baseball and softball have been doing pretty good...we blow past Grafton, it was challenging, but we did it...so what is a challenge now? Really nothing...warhill? Please! I do hear their baseball team is not too shabby, but neither is ours! I do not know if today is senior day...I think we have a few games left...but that is no reason not to come out to the ball game. Baseball is closing out the season in a fashionable way...which is by winning. You will make warhill mighty ill...and not in a good way. I cannot lie, this season has been challenging...but baseball is doing their best to just make end up all right...the baggett way. Then there is softball, where they have improved some as well...in fact they maybe doing a little bit better than the guys...maybe you should go see them. Not for the reason they are doing better...but just because they are looking for some support. They do not get as much as others. These girls beat grafton! Besides field hockey, not many sports teams have done that this season! There is no chance for wahill! These girls deserve your attention...well both teams do. Today at 4 at home come see baseball and softball take on warhill, be there or be lame...I missed saying that.

QUINCY

Qqqq

It is ap exam week, so it is only fitting to bring up Quincy. You know he takes like 9 ap classes. This week most have been brutal for me. As you can see the studying was overwhelming for him Quincy had to be hospitalized. He could not hardly speak, the only thing that came out from his mouth were math, science, or history facts. The brain function in Quincy's head was about off as well, his brain just kept reviewing material even when he was not studying. Also, Quincy had loss the ability of sleep...see too many all-nighters! Quincy is fine now, he took his exams, and never has to take them ever again. His sickness did not delay production for the tabb blog film, though being a bit mentally unstable could help for the role of Martin Phillips! Quincy is back to normal. He is fine...hopefully his exams help him next year at JMU...did I mention he was attending...so things are actually going good for the Quinc...especially now exam week is over!

Um...it is teacher appreciation and maybe we should a tabb blog teacher of the year, but to be honest all teachers are tabb blog teacher of the year! From art to math to history to marketing, they alll good! Thanks goes out to all...tabb high would not be tabb high...also thanks to all nurses, it is their appreciation week to, you keep us all well. I hope you all had a fantastic week...and year. Exams are over...so have a party....and read this blog again!! Shoutie wishing all teams good luck this week, Quincy congrats and get better, good job to all exam takers this week, thanks to all teachers and nurses, and everyone had a good day. I got an essay to write...so see ya...be back tomorrow. Roll Tig!

Peace be with you.

The tabb blog is long it can be an essay.
