Personal wedding websites are the wave of the future

In today’s tech savvy age, hosting your own personal wedding website can be a great tool for you, your vendors, your wedding party and your guests. Many sites like theknot.com and weddingchannel.com can help you build simple websites to announce your engagement and list the details of your upcoming nuptials. It can be a fantastic way to let your friends and family in on the wedding plans as they take shape, just be careful not to divulge too much information. Part of the fun of attending a wedding is the anticipation. If the guest knows what your dress looks like, the food they’ll be eating, your DJ playlist and what you plan to give as favors, it takes a little of the fun out of it.

So use this site for helpful info such as the location of your hotel room blocks and rate information. Parking and directions and local tips for out of town guests are also great to include. Wedding registry information is also useful and not as tacky as putting it on the wedding invitation! You can also tell the guests the story of your engagement and fun facts about you as a couple. Photos are always a nice touch too! Grandma in St. Louis might love to see a close-up of that diamond ring!
