Trial runs can make the wedding go smoothly

When it comes to your wedding day, you really don’t want any surprises…..unless it’s a surprise gift from your groom, like a pair of fancy diamond earrings you’ve been lusting after to match your engagement ring! But most of the other details that you’ve been slaving away at for months should go off without a hitch. So why would you take a chance with how you are going to look? Testing out your make-up and hairstyle ahead of time with those who are providing that service on your wedding day is crucial.

Meet with prospective make-up artists and hairstylists (even if they are friends or family members who’ve offered their services) a month or so before the big day. Show them pictures of styles you prefer and let them work their magic in a practice run. If you hate how it looks, they can try again, or you still have time to find another option. When you end up with a style you are happy with, take multiple photos so you both remember the look and will be able to recreate it on your wedding day. Also write down all the make-up products and colors you use.

Even if you plan to do your make-up and hair on your own, take the time to practice ahead of time.
You’ll want to know everything you need for the big day and how much time to allot yourself to get it done in time. You practice the ceremony with a rehearsal, why take any chances with your look?
