Don't put off gown shopping until the New Year

Sure, it’s the holiday season and while visions of tinsel, snowflakes and ornaments dance in your head, you probably don’t have much else on your mind except shopping for gifts, decorating the house and prepping for all those holiday parties. But if you are a bride planning a spring or summer wedding, you shouldn’t put off your gown search until after the holidays.

First of all, it’s good motivation to avoid all those calorie-laden desserts you’re bound to see in the office and at all those parties. Trying on wedding gowns is a true incentive to get fit and healthy for your wedding day. It’s also a bit more quiet in the bridal shops. While everyone else is running to
the mall, you may have the boutiques all to yourself. Come January, the bridal businesses are back
in full swing and you may not get the most personalized attention. Finally, it may be a good time to find a deal. Stores are trying to hit year-end goals and get rid of lagging inventory, so you may just find the perfect gown for a terrific price.

So get those Christmas cards in the mail and your holiday errands done early so you can enjoy some gown shopping!
