JV Football moves to 3-0 after shutting out Warhill 34-0

Poquoson's JV football team improved their season record to 3-0 with a 34-0 pasting of the Warhill Lions tonite. Logan Scwartz started things off with a 51 yard for a TD on just the second offensive play of the game for the Bulls. Bryce Burgner added the extra point.

On Warhill's next possesion, Mitchell Petain picked off a Lions pass and went 55 yards for the score. Burgners PAT made it 14-0 halfway thru the 1st quater.

Just as the 1st period ended, Cole Walker had a fumble recovery that led to the next Islanders score. Trey Hicks took the ball in on a 5 yard run, followed by another PAT by Burgner.

After another defensive stop, Hicks hooked up with Walker for a 46 yard TD pass but the extra point was blocked, leaving the score  27-0 at the half in favor of the Bulls.

The second half, most of the second teamers played for PHS. The third stanza was a scoreless affair but early in the 4th , Chuck Hess went two yards to pay dirt, followed by Michael Forrest's PAT. That made the score 34-0 in favor of the Bulls, which is where it ended.

The Islanders next play Tabb at home on Sept 22nd at 6:30 PM.
