Dinwiddie downs Poquoson 30-10

The Dinwiddie Generals came out on top Friday night, beating the Bulls by the score of 30-10. The first quarter ended with the Generals on top 3-0.

After 2 2nd quarter scores, the teams went to the locker rooms with the Bulls behind 16-0. However, PHS came out in the 3rd quarter and marched 81 yards, scoring a TD to pull within 16-6. Thomas Garris plunged in from the 2 for the score.The big play was a 64 yard pass to freshman Austin Turner from senior QB Tee McConnell. The Bulls went for two and McConnell hooked up with Dylan Hill on a fade pass for the successful try.

The back breaker was on the ensuing kickoff, when Dinwiddie returned it 90 yards for a score. making it 23-8. After a William Haskins punt pinned the Generals deep, the defense held and forced a punt. Josh Forrest blocked the kick, the ball going out the back of the end zone for a safety, bringing the score to 23-10.

After the free kick, the Bulls were moving the ball when a McConnell pass was picked off and returned 55 yards for  TD.

Poquoson's next game if Friday September 17 against Lafayette at the JCC sports Complex

The Lafayette game will be a war between two good teams. Sounds like the Rams are on the rise again and the Islanders showed a lot of toughness against Dinwiddie.

What are chances of getting stats, rushing yards , passing ,etc.
