Girls basketball team win behind great 4th quarter defense

Denbigh, which trailed by 10 after one quarter, rallied to a victory at Phoebus behind Jasmine Rawl's 13 points and Imani Richardson's 12.For the Phantoms, Kourtney Cherry scored 15 and Lisa Saunders 10. The Patriots held Phoebus to five points in the final period.

Boys Basketball team lose a close one to the Phoebus.

Peninsula District-leading Phoebus overcame a nine-point halftime deficit Tuesday night to gain a 65-58 home victory against Denbigh.

In a game that featured 18 3-point baskets -- 10 by the Patriots -- the Phantoms got 15 points from Brian Darden, while Josh Bell led Denbigh with 14.

Troy Williams and James Daniel added 13 points apiece for Phoebus, which overcame a four-point second quarter that led to a 28-19 halftime hole.
