Softball wins a nail-biter
The Bruton softball team hosted the Smithfield Packers on Friday March 17, 2011. In one of the first games of the season, the team was ready to prove that they were real and dangerous. I only arrived at the game in the 7th inning. However, I caught the best action of the night. The girls
The girls were down by three runs coming into the bottom of the 7th inning. Sophomores Abby Cole and Ashley Cicero and freshmen Carley Shannon all had base hits. With the bases loaded, senior powerhouse hitter Shannon McKinely was at the plate. The score was 7-10, two outs. In what could be a movie ending, McKinely hit a pop up right in the gap behind 1st base. Cole and Cicero made it home. After a Smithfield error, Carley Shannon showed her speed by making it home to tie the game. McKinely hit a triple, batting in three runners. Junior Brittney Pauls was ready to ice the cake and finish the game. After only one pitch, the junior slammed the ball into the outfield to send McKinely home and take the win.
The girls proved several things in the game. They have talent, stamina, and experience. The girls are ready to make some noise in the district.

I like the writing structure of your blog and it does a pretty decent job of presenting the material.
