Ticket info for Phoebus-Bethel game on Saturday

Tickets for Saturday afternoon's Bethel-Phoebus football game at Darling Stadium will be available during the week .

Sales will be available at Bethel on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during all four lunch periods (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) outside the cafeteria. The public must obtain a visitor's pass before heading back there.

At Phoebus, students can buy tickets during lunch periods. Tickets will be on sale for the public from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday in the main office.

Also, Hampton's Central Athletic Office will be selling tickets Thursday and Friday from 1-4 p.m. That's 1 Franklin Street, Room 524.

Adult tickets are $5. Children (12 and under) are $3

Golf UPDATE: 9/28 at the Woodlands

The Bethel Golf team had its final match on Thursday. The last 9 holes were rained out, so the scores were doubled to make it throught 18 holes and here is how they fared:

Kirby Gross: 104

Bethel dominates Hampton, shuts out Crabbers 20-0

HAMPTON— Memories linger, and all of Bethel surely remembers last year's 63-7 loss to Hampton. The Bruins ended the first quarter with a 7-0 lead, but they ended the night the worst loss in school history.

Friday night was a little payback, even if quarterback Frank Brown downplayed that angle. After throwing for 147 yards in Bethel's 20-0 demolition of the Crabbers, Brown barely managed a shrug when asked about a year ago

Bethel Beats Lake Taylor in Non-District Match

Bethel 26, Lake Taylor 18

Frank Brown torched the Titans for 307 yards and four touchdowns as the Bruins (2-0) rallied for a non-district victory.

Lake Taylor finished with 206 rushing yards, and Brandon Moore rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns.

Brown, though, found Rashaw Proctor for nine completions – including a 62-yard scoring strike – and Willie Davis had eight catches. Proctor finished with three TD receptions.

Nelson on sideline for Bethel's 35-0 win vs. Gloucester

HAMPTON ——
For an opening game, Bethel was balanced on offense and had director of football operations Jeff Nelson working deep on the sideline en route to a 35-0 victory over Gloucester on Friday night at Darling Stadium.

Nelson, who was severely injured in a game last year against Menchville, helped the coaching staff tonight from a golf cart situated deep on the track surrounding Darling Stadium.

Golf update: 9/1

The Bethel Bruins golf team had a golf match on Thursday, September 1 at Piankatank golf course. Senior Kody Gross shot a 100, while his brother Kirby Gross, a freshman, shot a 117. Michael Thompson shot a 115. The next golf match will be next Thursday at Colonial Heritage golf course.
